    Thanks for the review and comments about its use! This in depth kind of info is exactly what I was looking for. I have Android and have never used AA, so I never saw the appeal to this. Im going to try running the AA on my phone for a week or so to see if it seems worthwhile to me. They reduced the price significantly on Amazon, Im guessing on their own site as well.
    Edit: Well crap, AA only runs on car screens of compatible cars. So I can’t preview it to see if it is at all useful.

    Wouldn’t the USB- C connector in the back of the Hannshow unit be for a direct wired connection to your head unit (assuming there’s even a data capable USB-C port in the Model 3 anymore?). If it is, you’d have a hardwired connection instead of Bluetooth. Which I personally always prefer.

    Waze is better because it updates faster to changed road conditions such as road works, new or different road markings as well as traffic. In fact with Waze's purchase the google maps traffic API IS Waze's data. It's also user reporting based with an absolutely exceptionally accurate data matrix so that you rarely ever have false reports, in fact in 5 + years of using Waze perhaps I've had 2-3 car on side of road reports which were untrue. It also unlike google maps uses driver data (the roads that most people use) to determine the best route and I find that it hardly ever asks me to cross a 4 or 6 lane major road to make a difficult turn unlike Google maps does. I would highly recommend Waze and anyone that determines it is a police radar gimmick hasn't given it enough time or made an effort to use it properly.
    On the topic of the actual product, good review mate and your video was one of the ones I watched before ordering mine.

    I had this professionally installed and when they plugged in the cable in the back of the computer behind the glove compartment the car freaked out and everything inside the car wasn't working correctly, protection faults, car wouldn't go more than 35 and a rear light stopped working. They plugged the original cable back in the car was fine after that. Replugged back in and the same, so I am not sure if I have defective unit or my June 2020 Model 3 has something different than other Teslas. Did you see any of these issues?

    • @DaxM
      @DaxM  2 года назад

      Wow. Haven’t heard of that. Ya, maybe a faulty cable. Make sure they were using the right cable. Mine came with 2. One for older computers and another one for the new Ryzen chips.
      Also, you’re suppose to disconnect the power completely from the battery before installing the cables. Then reconnect the power. Make sure your shop did that.

One other question, it says you have two minutes to unplug and plug the new cable in and I know you spent 15 minutes you said in the video, or you will have system fault that will take two hours to get back, did you experience that? I have a little over $400 in installation charges at the moment and will get the new device on Saturday so hopefully the new one fixes it.

    • @DaxM
      @DaxM  2 года назад +1

      @@AaronMcFarland ya if you disconnect the battery from the whole system you can spend all the time you need with it unplugged. If you don’t disconnect, you only have 3-5 minutes. That’s why I suggest disconnecting the battery, so you have as much time as you’ll need because that plug can be tricky to get out and back in.
