I've been meaning to make this video for a really long time, and now I finally did! So after tons of questions on how I get so "perfect" gradients, here's a tutorial with tips and tricks on how to do just that :D

thank you for this. wetting the sponge helped a lot and knowing that it might take more than two coats sure helped. you see these mail art vids and they do it in like 1 coat. I'm sitting here wondering what the heck I'm doing wrong lol. also nail rotation to let it dry is a good idea too. I'm an amateur so I didn't really realize you had to let it completely dry -face palm-. anyways, just subscribed. gonna check out more of your vids

+Simply Shaynah I use opi's matte top coat, but you could make your own by mixing some corn starch with clear polish. Not sure how well it works though, haven't tried it for myself

Guys do u have to use liquid latex? Or can u just put on the nail polish and if it gets on your skin u wipe it off?

You just got to "dab dab dab" quote from simply nailogical
Very neat, the tip with the tape to get any loose buts off the latex sponge is a really good tip. You used 4 couloirs, I only used 3 so next time I will use 4 too. I think it gives a much better result. Also, I gave not tried applying Matt top coat and I like the effect. Thank you so much. Could you do a water marble tutorial please as this method never works for me, well once on one nail! lol

even though its liquid latex,the reason it comes off bad is because its made of pink die and glue and latex,thats why i like regular latex such as simply peel

Thanks, I really enjoyed this. Do i have to use the liquid latex or can I just clean up around my nails later with a brush dipped in nail polish remover??
Lori Karpman She killed herself, but you can use tape or glue (what I don't recommend, because it took a long time to dry). If you don't use nothing to protect your skin, it will be more difficult to take the nail polish off (sorry for my bad English, I'm Brazilian :P)

Where can u get a matte fast drying top coat?
Don't think there is any such thing, but I always use a regular (shiny) fast drying topcoat and then a matte one afterwards. I use the matte topcoat from opi ^^

No, a white buffer block is a solid piece of rigid material covered with an abrasive surface used to buff your nail. A makeup sponge is soft, for liquid foundation application. You can find them really cheap at the dollar store....but a buffer block is completely different from a sponge.
Watching her peel off that stuff is satisfying
I am hoping someone would help me. I tried doing a gradient but when I dab it onto my nail with the white polish completely dried, it takes it off. Am I doing something wrong?

What kind of sponge do you use ? I'm using the latex free kind but they look a little different then yours

it's a makeup sponge and you can get it at any drugstore or beauty supply store 😀😊☺
You can go to any mall and go to Sephora and just take a sample. Lol
I get mine at the dollar store, 28 of them for a dollar.
