    I was fortunate to meet Darrel at the Paddocks club on Canvey island in Essex several years ago. I purchased one of his CDs and ever since then, I've been a huge fan. His authentic guitar and vocals are superb, I mostly appreciate his genuine love for OUR music.
    Thank you Darrel.

    There was a request for the songlist of this episode, so here it is. Darrel performed the following songs:
    1. Turn My Back On You - Billy Fury 28:47
    2. Bop Machine - Darrel Higham and The Enforcers 1:16:39
    3. All Night Rock - Glenn Honeycutt 1:47:22
    We were also asked about the easiest rockabilly guitar solos to get started. Here are our suggestions: Ten Little Woman - Terry Noland, Jitterbop Baby - Hal Harris (first part), Shake 'em Up Rock - Benny Cliff. I would also throw in Cry Cry Cry by Johnny Cash

    The two natural successors to Joe Maphis, Grady Martin, Scotty Moore and Eddy Cochran talking enthusiastically about the music they love and how they play. Both come across as really nice guys who care about their audience.

    You both have taught me a lot on playing rockabilly guitar. I have bought most of your Udemy courses and I bought the Darrel Higham Rockabilly guitar book.

    Two very nice rock 'n' roll guitarists. I met Darrel Higham at the O2 when I went to see the Elvis exhibition. I saw him performing at a free concert. I had already bought his album Let's Rock Tonight just for the cover, a copy of Cochran's album.

    When I was studying what strings were used back in that era, I found out that some players used nickel strings.
    As a result, I now use pure nickel strings on all my guitars.

    Hi Randy and Darrel! A question : i like playing rockabilly guitar solo on electric guitar but i would like to know how to make a play back with a drum and bass? Do you know a drum machine with acoustic sound? It would be more fun than play alone...here no much musicien play this style of music. See you Thierry from France

    • @ducktailcat
      @ducktailcat  Год назад +1

      Hi Thierry, I use a software called reaper for my jam tracks, although I record everything myself, it also has midi drum capabilities. It's kinda complex if you want to use it just for a drum loop. If yoz have an Apple computer or tablet, then Garage Band could be an option. I haven't used it, but other people seem to get pretty good results
