Thanks for the honest review. I’m 68 years old, in very good health, and have started camping and enjoying being outside. I own 2 canvas tents (one 6x8 compact tent and one 10x10 tent that’s more roomier) for long-term car camping, but they are definitely not an option for hiking. I’ve been watching a lot of hiking tent reviews and this review has helped me a lot. Thanks again. New subscriber!
Thanks for the kind words, I'm so glad you're enjoying the outdoors, this is a cracking hiking tent, I don't want to take anything away from it - however hiking isn't my thing, car camping and a mile or 2 away from the truck maximum which I can comfortably do with a heavier tent...
Good honest review, good luck in reaching 5,000 subs, you’re 1 closer now 😁👍
Thank you brother, I appreciate you
I have used the Night Cat on several wild camps and the West Highland Way and Cumbria Way. Very impressed with the quality / weight /cost ratio. Plenty of room to cook in the vestibule and am able to pack up inside the tent when wet weather hits . Trekking pole needs to be set at approx 120 mm and there needs to be a large gap at the front for ventilation It does take a bit of fiddling to get it set so the inner and outer don't touch and the stakes could be longer for soft ground. But overall if you looking for a one person ultralight tent on a budget this is one to seriously consider
Thanks for the comment! They are a great bit of kit indeed!
Great video & what a cracking tent for the ££££. 👌
It really is reasonably priced, all of Night Cats gear seems to be
I just use a tarp (10x10 Aquaquest)... no more tents (I'm a total convert, hahah). I carry a light mesh and a dropsheet for if I need something on the ground. I do carry two very light trekking poles. I use them for a variety of things. I find all that much more versatile and light. I don't compromise on the sleep system (it's heavy and bulky and I don't care).
I am seriously arachnaphobic so I can't have to be encased or I'll die 🤣🤣
If the pita pata of the rain bothers you Si, take some ear plugs. lighter than a tarp..
I love the pitapata of rain buddy
