Given my choices for daily drivers over the years, I've had my fair share of just about everything. From $500 jalopies to cars that cost me way too much to begin with. This time however, I finally made the sensible choice and set off in search of a more rarified version of an otherwise ordinary mid-size car. #Honda cars have always been on my list to own one day but always seemed out of reach for me. Thankfully, the #9thGenAccord has now come more into a price range that I could afford and there was only one way I would buy one...with a #6SpeedManual! Thankfully I didn't have to wait too long to find a solid example at a hell of a price! To be honest, this is a car I've lusted after for awhile and one that I should have bought way back when it came out. Now though, I plan to drive this bad boy up to 300K and beyond!
I have this car. So far have it for almost 3 years and no problems. Its 6 speed and its fun. I love it
I also have a 2014 Honda accord manual. And let me tell you. I get asked about it and complimented when I take it to a car wash or the shop or when I give someone a ride. Fun car to have and great MPG.
Friendly advice...get to the point. I'm 3 min into the video and I'm just now seeing the car you put in the title.
Just start driving mines again after 8 months. Trust me best car honda made.
Great choice! I have a 13 Coupe LX-S 2.4L 6MT and it's an absolute blast to drive. I have the Acuity shifter cable bushings and base bushings installed paired with the sirimoto short throw shifter adapter. I also have the Acuity Poco knob and everything together makes the shifter feel a lot better. I am lowered on Tein Z Flex coils and have the 22mm Progress RSB and the handling is amazing.
The 9th generation Honda Accord’s are so nice and those 2.4 K engines sound so nice. I have friends and family that drive 9 gen Honda Accord and they all love them.
Great review. Agree this Accord is the perfect blend of reliable “old school” engineering, some newer updated tech, in an engaging drivers car. This is a “forever” car that will run for years and years. Don’t forget the best anti-theft device on the planet today- a manual transmission!! Enjoy!
Nice choice, I just picked up a 15 lx 6speed and I’m loving every moment of it
Cant go wrong with an Acccord! Definitely rare with the 6 speed and a blast to drive. Reminds me a lot of the 2016 Sport Manual I almost bought at one point.
From a Mazda to a Toyota, to a Honda. Great choice in cars sir! Love the channel! Been watching since 2016 and still watching!
I had a 2006 Accord Coupe with the manual as my daily. Was a great car
Bought my 2014 Accord Sport 6MT MSM new almost 10 years ago and still can't bring myself to replace it. Super easy to work on and super comfortable with the right tires. Starters can be a little weak and had to change the valve cover gasket but neither are very challenging.
i didnt even know Honda made these in manual..nice car choice!
excellent car but get the 2013-17 Accord Sport 6sp manual - comes leather wrap sport steering wheel, dual exhausts and more torque and hp and better wheels w/ nicer spoiler - faster and better handling too
Congratulations on the new to you car! Unfortunately I missed it in my feed
Thinking about trading in my 2002 Honda Insight 5MT for a 2015 Honda Accord 6MT, the sedan. Mine has 220k miles, and the Accord has 226k. A while ago, I was ubered in one of these 6MTs, and it read 406k miles on the odometer. Think it’s a good trade? It’s gonna be used as a daily like yours, except going to school and work.
Nice car!!! Most manuals of that generation are the sports.
Exactly! Thats why I was happy to find an EX with a stick :)
Oh yeah I’m about to get the 2013 model here in LA
Hey l didn't know man l red a lot of reviews on the oil consumption with 2014 accord because am looking at getting 2014 accord sports with a manual transmission
Do you still have the moonroof visor? I can buy it from you
even more rare now are the 2.0t 6spd accords
Very true. Of course, the 9th Gen Accord manuals that haven't been driven into the ground are just as rare :)
I wish I had the money for a 10th Gen 2.0T 6-Speed but those were well out of my price range.
@@GrandPrixGTP02 These are great long term for reliability for sure. Naturally aspirated! I would love a 10th gen too someday!
What happened to the elantra sport?
drop a headunit with apple car play or android auto in it, you will have all the features
I was definitely thinking about that at one point in the future. I'm just going to keep the stock HU in it for right now but once it goes out, a new one will definitely be on order.
