    I have a little 302ho im building for a 79 hatch! Im gonna be using the wiend team g intake on it! Just a lil e303 cam nothing super fast just something to play with!!

      Thats gonna be awesome too ot doesn't matter what ford!! Engine you put in it shell fly and turn heads .iv got a dragon 93 notch and i think very soon im gonna do up a 2.3 just . motor and put my spin on it as far as it will lerlt me ..like them lima motors but on a budget low budget.lol.and im mot sure but it in something small and have some fun with it..good luck on your build

    i have a 351w the cheap way to build one is what I built u get a 3.850 strok crank with a stock rods and use a 302 pistons .030 over is a 393 stroker mine is 0.60 over makes a 398 stroker and I'm running factory GT40 heads runs real good if it was in a fox body but it's not to bad in my 71 Torino my first pass it ran 8.87 in an 1/8 mile and it's a heavy car just thought i would put thst out there for you

      mine is a torque monster I have a flat tappet cam 292 518 lift bought a lot of stuff off marketplace cheap brand new cam lifters and timing chain in the box for 100 dollars saved 300 dollars on that a c4 auto wouldn't hold up ripped them apart finally found a small block c6 works alot better now didn't u just buy a 71 Torino

    So those afr185’s clear the stock pistons with that cam?? Im building a 351 and keep struggling to find good info on valve clearance

      @Natek4741 No they do not clear I hit the piston with a grinder to make clearance until I had about 80 thousandths clearance

    Did you tear down and machine this engine at all or just checked the bottom end to rotate and slapped it back together? I love this build, looking for some ideas for my next engine

      😂 nope I literally pulled the main caps checked the bearings looked good so slapped it together. Note that this build now has solid rollers on this cam . If I could do it over I would have found a solid roller cam for it . Also springs Louie had some heavy duty solid roller springs we added when we put the solid rollers in. Watch the videos you’ll see the progress and how easy and simple this car is

      @@krazyhorsegarage7200 about to order a pair, what size solid roller cam? 0.600+ lift? I know the pistons will need clearance for something that big

    I got a 351 Windsor with the afr's 185 202 vials what the voodoo cam I checked the valve clearance I didn't see nothing on the Play-Doh sir my motor builder said it was good

      - Cam Type: Hydraulic Roller
      - Lifter Style: Hydraulic Roller
      - Camshaft Gear Attachment: 1-Bolt
      - Advertised Intake Duration: 282
      - Advertised Exhaust Duration: 290
      - Intake Duration at .050 Inch Lift: 232
      - Exhaust Duration at .050 Inch Lift: 240
      - Lobe Lift Intake: 0.354
      - Lobe Lift Exhaust: 0.36
      - Lobe Separation: 112
      - Intake Centerline: 108
      - Grind Number: XE282HR
      And I had clearance issues with the stock piston

    I had the Same issue with my 306 and destroyed my afr head looked the same was you able to have the head repaired and can I ask were

      Stock that bottom end is all stock balancer is from autozone flywheel was used from a freind 😂

    When did budget and AFR go together?? Budget is ported iron or cleaned up knockoff alu ebay heads imo-

      Actually budget is whatever someone can afford and afrs trickflow any name brand heads can be found cheap you just need to look the block is stock and can be found for almost nothing . I understand your interpretation because we where doing that in the 90s but this is infact a little more expensive than your interpretation but still cheap for going 10.1

      the only thing expensive on that engine was the heads it looked like lol a 351 short block aint that expensive but are very strong
      and yes now you can buy enforcers which arent even 1300.00 but the renegades are obv better

      @KingJT80 it was a very cheap build on the engine side even the fuel pump was a cheap Mr gasket lol just shows you can go for on the cheap

      They are unknown long tubes 1 3/4 but I want to say they are older style kooks from like the early 2000s got them from a car I parted out a few yrs back and they are very rusty but work has a custom h-pipe to magnaflow mufflers but we are going to lop those off for some something a little louder lol

      Good question thinking somewhere in the 9-10.1 range stock dish pistons with 58cc heads stock head gasket never did the math 😂

      Well we actually did a compression test on it like two weeks ago and she definitely needs rings but over the winter we’ll figure out what way to go with it

    Throw a 3.850 rotating assembly in it and you've got a 387

      @@krazyhorsegarage7200 a 408 or 427 stroker is best if you're gonna spend the money.. I'm building my 4.6L 2v to a 5.0 stroker for my 09 P71..lol

      You only need the crank of a 3.85, you can use the same rods and pistons, just take everything out and have it balanced at a machine shop
