Nice work/fix. Medal tracks would be cool. I think Traxxas should have the rubber tracks "cast/pored" with nylon running through it so it doesn't stretch.
As always, informative vid. Thanks. If I were to build a track machine, it would be along the line of a Bombardier snow track. Two strikes on this one. Traxxas, and four wheel tracks. Coming from heavy snow country, the four wheel track thing is sorta like 20's on a 4x4. Cute, but ain't worth a sh*t. And Traxxas suing everyone kinda makes me feel even more negative towards the company as a whole. I've been doing small cars since the 70's. Started racing buggy in the mid 80's. Traxxas has always been toy grade to me. Sold em at Fred Meyers and Toys R Us when I was racing. Just my 2 cents. Hope you have fun, be well .

Traxxas should make external cog gear that powers track. Cut slots in track for cog teeth to slide though track. Just like snowmobile. With external drive, hard to skip with loose track. Internal drive (what traxxas has) you have to keep track very tight for not to skip teeth.
Dude, you gotta come to Indiana and check out our playground. We have a ton of trails and some wicked hill climbs. We call them , "The Proving Grounds" I'm talkin some 60°+ inclines, loose rock, hard pack dirt, loamy dirt, mud, big slick rock faces and any other trail condition/situation your mind can create. Man I wish I could post pics. I don't mean a single spot on a hill, I'm talkin about 26 acres, all free game to whoever sees a line. I know I've bugged you about this a few times but don't expect me to stop😁 bring your baddest rig, some hiking boots and spare parts, yer gonna need em. Always enjoy your vids, you can tell you honestly enjoy the "hobby" and like me are constantly looking for ways to improve our machines. I can honestly say that there isn't a single factory piece on my Wraith that hasn't been modified or upgraded. Not trying to one up or out do anybody but myself. Doors always open man, Peace!! ✌️😎
They need to be made like anti ratchet drivers or extravert drivers on a snowmobile. In the middle of the sprocket they have points like a bike sprocket. That go through holes in the tracks.
When you adjusted the trax how far did you extend your tensioner?also on my trx4 21 bronco the front end wraps forward when the tracks grab how do I fix that
I tightened mine up a bit and they skip a lot less. Problem I have in the snow is the driver cog packs up, melts, then turns to ice causing it to skip the traxx
@@V8chump Yea i remember their video showed them in sand & snow. I always thought they were cool, but didn't think they were supposed to be a tire 'replacement'.
Here in southern ON there's whole crews who run traxx in the winter; we even group up with them on regular tires and chains to have em' pack down trail. I even know one guy who has a TRX 4 decked out in Arctic Cat livery, guy doesn't even own a set of tires for it. If you've never crawled in the winter; I can see how someone'd think these are strictly a vanity item.
very nice to see the trax fix getting out there, i have a feeling i know where you got this idea lol, Great video as always

Another awesome video! It was good to see you at nationals!🤟

Please do a video of tracks on the danchee ridge rock! I feel like that would go some places.

They should have some sort of tensioner built into them, but your fix works way better than nothing! Also i really like that body!
They do have an adjustment built into the first roller, simply undo one screw and crank the wheel in or out depending on your needs.
@rctruxbashing7420 right I'm sitting here wondering why he's going therw all this when you can adjust the tension like you said....

Hey Exo!💡moment!! What is the circumference of those tracks?? I have a retread idea for some old tires 😁

Buddy I hope to be free to travel next year. Work keeps me grounded here.
Put a drop of ca glue on the knot to keep it from slipping.
nice video Joe keep them coming
Have you tried the Tamiya tracks? I wonder how those compare to the Traxxas
Traxxas does sound worse on camera then in person. All my trx4 an trx6 trucks are not that loud at all. But I’m sure it’s just the camera
That's been my major complaint with the tracks. Especially this past winter in the powder.
Take it to the old sand lot you used to play at. That would be cool

Heard that copperhead esc having some issues from others.
I don’t have tracks, but I made a Dooleys

You would think they would come with cord inside the track like a vacuum cleaner belt
They should

Same bro it's fning annoying I wish they made the roller gear metal as well.
A set of Vitavon tracks in the future ?
LoL that would be awesome.
I wish if they would make a metal set
Why didn't you adjust the tension? It is in the manual or takes 10 seconds to Google it. Surely this is a fix to a problem that doesn't exist?
thats awesome
May copy your idea 💡 for mine
yeah man give it a try
I don't believe traxxas ever intended their traxx to be used like tires. I think they were gonna be a novelty (for static display) that ppl liked!
They’re pretty good for snow dirt and mud

“Knotsmith” = ‘Sailor’
👍🥇
Or just read the instructions 😂😂😂
Right they have a way to tighten the tension. Take belt off take one scerw out an spin the tension tie rod end that connected to one of wheels.
