Glad it worked better. Definitely ready to see you mod on them. My twin is alot lighter than a trx4. Well maybe not a lot and i still get a lil slip too
Just a head's up Exo, there is no need to save after each page on the Copperhead/Mamba Castle link. You can simply go to each tab and make your changes, then save once you've changed everything!
The traxx are great with more power. I’ve been liking the 18/39 gearing myself. I bet it yours will climb that dirt hill a lot easier with that small change. Great vids!
So strange how the trx4 panhard mount is molded into shock tower. After one year my trx4 has not broken a panhard mount. On my scx 10 3 i break panhard mounts often. Recently axial made a metal panhard part #axi231041 as used on the new axial bronco. I enjoy both trucks. The trx4 is the best with 2 speed and locking diffs. My trx4 has approx 200 run hours and no major break downs. Drive it hard every day . Trx4 is a great truck.
That's cool bro. Just got mine about 2 month's ago. And was wondering about mods myself. Way to many unboxing videos this winter. Time to do all my first runs. Then mods. Then 2nd runs. Ect. I'm backed up. But that's a good thing .
Hi congrats on retirement!!! Quick question. Would a castle sensored crawler edition 1406 1900kv and a copperhead esc be good in the ryft? I had the speltrum 1900 kv 1415 in it before Thanks.
It’ll be interesting to see how they do after your mod. Now they probably wouldn’t slip at all in sand, dirt, snow, or mud but it would be cool to get slip free rock crawling out of them 😁
I run 15° of timing. And 20° of cheat timing. Set it to come in around 40k rpm and full engage at 55k. So it only has STUPID POWER when you hit full throttle. Only for trailing and messing around. When crawling it doesn't activate. Not in the rpm band to do so 👍
Joe I bought my Traxxas Traxx over the winter for some snow fun and omg was it fun!!! When I purchased mine I realized the orange body showed coming with the the deep tread tracks, the original traxx set and a set of wheels but the blue body box didn’t show both track sets so I went orange body🤷♂️🤷♂️ IMO the TRX4 Traxx RTR is on of the best valued TRX you can get. I’ve been wondering how it would handle the brushless power and it seems to be just fine. 👊👊👍👍
Those traxx are rubber, so if you make them tight when it's warm out, they will be super tight (possibly to the point of binding or tearing) when it's cold and snowy out.
I was going down a decent yesterday with mine and in started clicking in the transmission and driving me nuts . I’ve taken all apart and put back with shims etc etc still clicks . Might go to metal transmission housing see if that helps . Works fine just annoying lol
i got my traxx this winter and ran it through the snow with fairly good success however I did have the drive sprocket get packed with ice and had complete skipping issues but I would say the traxx is absolutely awesome even with some minor mechanical issues i can't wait to see what you do with yours
You have to leave your truck out in the winter to acclimate for like an hour or so if you don't do that the snow will melt on the tracks on turn into ice and will start skipping
@@T_gaming28 you're exactly right about that and when it started to freeze up I remembered reading something about acclimating the tracks to the temperature but who has time for that lol.
My traxx will almost climb a wall if they can get traction. I don't use them very often, but they are fun to run. I have a hobbywing axe r2 3300kv system in mine. 2nd gear is a hoot
Wait, i heard you say something about adjusting the traxx’s ? I have looking everywhere on how to adjust them , make them tighter. Do you have a video on this?
Hi I have the same motor and ESC and am using the TQI remote which came stock with the trx6 but the motor won’t work. But I don’t think it is the receiver because the servo works do you have any ideas
@@ExocagedRC i already chck , its fully plugged in , or it cause water on sensored wire, btw the special edition motor is 3800kv , will it cause by the kv rating on the motor?
I just put the hobbywing axe r2 3300 in my trx6 snapon hauler and was wondering if i could run a jst of that and run the lights with out burning anything out?
@@ExocagedRC Yes! When you tell something, it is better if there is no music in the background. So much better is the perception of information. During the test drive, you describe what is happening. For me, hearing your voice without background music is much more pleasant. P.S. I have been watching your channel for many years. This is one of my favorite channels. Very informative videos. With lots of technical information.
When the trx4 blazer first came out I had a mamba x and 3800kv slate motor. Even on 3s it was more than I ever needed. After 2 stripped portal inputs, and a set of differential gears, I put a brushed setup back in it. Was fun but every other time something broke.
Traxx or no traxx RC ‘s are always a blast to watch & use. Always entertaining & interesting thanks for all your RC knowledge & entertainment.
Thanks 👍
@@ExocagedRC what esc and motor combination is that
POWER!!! Great updates. Thanks for showing👍
I just ordered this I'm pretty excited for it to get here it will be my 1st RC
Hey love your attention to detail. Trax is diverse. Have a kick ass day
This guy reads my mind , I just put a castle copperhead and deep terrain traxx on my trx4 and was hoping someone else would do it too
great minds think alike!!
I went mamba x and HH 540-L 2700kV. Can confirm patio donuts with a layer of snow on there, it's unreal how much more power than stock it has.
Love the results of the mod's, but they are rather costly. Ouch. Thanks for the videos.
I really like my sport with trax it's a tone of fun in the woods, dirt and streams...great trail truck...
Awesome! Excited to see more.
Can confirm, the electronics can definitely handle 7.4V and have happily for several years. Go back in and get that free performance my man!!
Yup I have been running mine at 7.4v for 3 years on the stock tx/rx.
really? Well I'll give that a try with the new servo.
Cool cool cool place in the back! I’ll be having me some tracks for My trx4 Before winter ❄️ next year. I really enjoyed it 👌💯.
Gotta try the 3brc direct power servos
I love my Traxx. To turn those beasts I use the Reefs 777 servo. You may want to out the news Reefs 1100.
Glad it worked better. Definitely ready to see you mod on them. My twin is alot lighter than a trx4. Well maybe not a lot and i still get a lil slip too
yeah man I hope to get on the track mods this weekend
Impressive test drive… and like the look with that body 👍👍👍
The two speed kit from traxxas was the best thing I’ve done for mine so far.
I've had a 3800kv/ mamba x combo in several trucks over the last 3 years. More than any of my crawlers really need
Just a head's up Exo, there is no need to save after each page on the Copperhead/Mamba Castle link. You can simply go to each tab and make your changes, then save once you've changed everything!
yeah I know its just a habit I've got into and can't get out of it.
Now he will track for the Scx6

Yup
I haven't broken them but they flex a lot when a strong servo is used
Awesome video.. thanks man I just installed mine ! On my sport !
I’d run 9t on pinion almost has 2in1 feel such low gearing nice build!

the deep tracks are 30 odd on amazon if thats what your meaning, not the running gear

@Exocaged RC hopefully the traxx live. Cant wait to see how you band them. Id suggest 30lb test and some ca glue
How about that s c x 6 on tracks? Oh man! Holy Toledo!
you can put screws in the tracks same as you do with a snowmobile !
