Absolutely love this motor, it's so buttery smooth in my traxxas trx4 blazer. And the wheelies are awesome in 2nd gear. Also the program card for my 1080 worked fine changing parameters, so if you have one laying around you don't need the led program card
I like to shift into 2nd, get the truck to barely move, set the cruise and shift down to 1st for an insane slow crawl. You cannot stop the wheels from spinning. I love the fusion.
Might have to find a good reason to put this in my wife’s Ecto. “I dunno honey, guess the original motor burned up or something, darnedest thing”. Thanks for the review, have a great one.
I been waiting on u to review this motor I got mine as soon as it was available and went in my modified gen7 and over my 2300 axe and 1800 fusion it's by far the smoothest
- Thank you Paul for the specific info/feedback on the HobbyWing FUSION 1800Kv, for I have yet to install & run it, in my GMADE (GS02F) !!! 🙄... I believe it "will" be the smoothest motor, for (ANY) Crawler !! 👌 😁 I am really lookin' forward to the NEW H.W. FUSION PRO (2300Kv) Motor, as I anticipate my "desired" application(s), - will require me to have this newer H.W. FUSION PRO 2300Kv !!!! 😉 ...But, I do NOT want to lose the torque, that the 1800Kv might have, - over the "2300Kv motor's "quoted" (by manufacturer)... high-er RPM range, if that is truly "how" that works !!? 👍 - Now, I can stop worrying 'bout missing-out on the H.W. Axe 2300. 😆 - Thanks again, for your input, it is greatly appreciated !!! 👌
GOOD MORNING JOE FROM ENGLAND SIR. IM SO HAPPY YOUR REVIEWING THIS FUSION. I HAVE JUST ORDERED MYSELF ONE. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND BUDDY 🇬🇧🇺🇲🕊️✌🏼🤩🤙🏼👍🏼
This is the Best power system on the market paired with the Worst servo to come in a standard crawler lol. My Steering servo was upgraded immediately, best mod ever.
THIS looks great! I have had the TRx4 for 6 years (my son and I love them). But, now hes 10 and wants something faster, LOL. I wonder, if we did the 12T pinion on the motor, this would give maybe some more on the higher end?
May put one of these in my red bronco. I like to try and get get crawlers as quiet as possible! My Blazer has the Castle Mamba X SCT 1415 2400kv system in it. Fantastic combo as you know. On the fly “basher” (haha) and “crawler” modes vis the app and Bluetooth link. Power for days. But dang if that castle whine isnt annoying! 😂 Kinda like savox servos. I like em. Have them in several of my RC’s including my Kraton EXB 6s. It’s really annoyingly loud but I only hear it for brief split seconds ha.
I just picked one of these up if you run it at 7.4 bec will it fry the locking servos? Not sure if they can handle 7.4 or is there a way to put 7.4 to the steering and leave 6.0 on the locking servos
I badly want to test 2 of these out in my 22lb Clodbuster 1/6th build --- hard to decide to replace what works so well already but would be nice to get rid of all the wiring of twin ESC's and twin brushless motors. Can they run on 4s though? or 6s maybe even?
I have the Firma 2-1 2300kv on my ‘21 Bronco and its basically the same. Joe can you still use the same Programing card from other Fusion for this 2300kv fusion?
You can use the same program card. Just reference the manual with the 2300KV. The first item has an additional option for the forward/reversing setting.
You cant.. I tested a lot of spektrum rebranded Hobbywing systems and they do not work with Hobbywing LCD program cards and Simple program card. They require the Spektrum branded hobbywing program cards as they seem to be tied in by software.
Spectrum is an all inclusive company. They force you to buy thier radios, receivers because they want to bring you into their realm of rc electronics. It's great stuff, but you won't be able to use generic open source controls.
Love my 1800kv Fusion! Will have to order the 2300kv version soon. Can you use the same programming card from the 1800kv or do you have to purchase a separate one specific to the 2300kv???🤔
I used the programming card from my hobbywing 1080 and it worked fine. You just need to use the sticker that comes with the motor as it only has like 13 parameters bot 15
Adding to the first comment you can also use the card from your 1800 KV motor. Just reference the parameters in your 2300 KV manual. The first item has an additional setting for the forward/revers options. I think the rest are the same.
OK, admittedly this $149.00 'Brushless' system is both simplified as well as performs well in crawling. How about comparing it to some Crawlmaster Pro or Puller Pro Brushed motors.
Ordered the Traxxas TRX Bronco 2021 in Blue, would have preferred the Yellow, but the Blue is pretty sweet to. I have a Fusion Pro 2300kv that I plan on installing in the Bronco but I do have some questions about the issues related to installing the Fusion Pro into the Bronco. You purchased an aftermarket motor mount but didn't use it, I presume then that the stock motor mount works just fine -- care to comment? The other things is that I plan to use the RadioLink RC6GS V3 7 Channels RC Transmitter and Waterproof Gyro Receiver R7FG but I'd like to know how to control the diff and 2-speed transmission using something like the RC6GS V3 -- anyone else worked through this issue? Thanks, Brian
The motor itself is a 540 and has the normal diameter. The rear portion is all ESC and SBEC. If you remove the ESC SBEC it's exactly the diameter of a 540.
"Funny" that you purposely got a new Fusion Pro specifically for the TRX4. Why do I say that? Because I not only pre-ordered one of these, and because I received mine a little less than two weeks ago (yes, I actually had mine before Hobbywing Direct started shipping to customers...I think Amain made a 'mistake', and shipped mine early), but because I installed mine in the TRX4 Kit I'm in the process of building. Still need to decide on a body. Any suggestions (especially a Toyota body...and, even better, a hard-body) for a 12.3" wheelbase?
@@ExocagedRC I know "almost any 12.3" body will fit"...but, I was inquiring of anyone knew of Toyota (especially hard) bodies. The reason I was being specific about Toyota bodies is this. There's an online vendor out of Arizona who, on their website, advertises a particular Toyota LC70 body as being 312mm (ie. 12.3")...except that the manufacturer lists the current version of said body as being 324mm. Now, it is possible that the body the vendor is selling is a no-longer-in-production body, which might have been 312mm. In order to get 'clarification', I contacted the vendor and asked whether it was 312mm, or 324mm. The vendor responded back with a "snarky" reply (here's the reply I received: "either way its very small, and the rear bed can be spaced out farther 323mm wheelbase"), yet also never answered my question. I responded back, with the following: "That's not what I asked. I'm sure the product's box clearly indicates what the wheelbase is. Can you just provide that info, please?", to which the vendor hasn't bothered to reply. This is why I was asking if anyone knew of any 12.3" wheelbase Toyota bodies...especially a hard body.
Love the videos dude!! Would like to see how you set this motor up on the program card… I’m having issues with my max reverse item, when I lower the value of the item it slows my forward motion down and not my reverse 🤷🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️ maybe it’s still got some kinks to work out lol
@@teammoneymikerccarsandtruc3472 Yes Pro lighting kit will work fine. If you have the latest rx tx system. You need to use the telemetry cord that connects from lighting module to rx supplied with lighting kit. Then make a jst power lead from battery connector to power the lighting module. I did this and works perfectly. Hope this helps!

hi, i buy the fusion pro 2300 kv motor for my trx4 sport. did you keep the original motor pinion? can you give me the parameter for this motor for expedition? thanks for all.
What's the biggest tooth pinion you can go with this with stock trx4 spur. So far 11tooth hits 13mph 12 tooth hit 14.3 mph I wanna get to 15ish so a 14tooth max?
Quick question, do I need to buy a different motor mounting plate in order to install this motor on my Traxxas TRX4 Defender? Or can I use the stock one?
My fusion pro 2300kv sometimes just shuts off when I drive in high gear (trx6 hauler) When in lowgear there is no issue.. but in high gear it just switches off when I hit the throttle. Sometimes I just drives in high gear nd sometimes it just shuts off. It doesn’t make any sense. Somebody knows the problem?
Hey exo love the videos great stuff! I installed mine today and my steering is reversed any help anyone would be much appreciated please and thank you!!
Traxxas nailed the 2 speed transmission. The best in versatility and very hard to beat for a all around truck.
yes they sure did, the whole truck is stout and capable
Preordered two of these myself. I was pleasantly surprised earlier this week when I came home to find them sitting on my porch!!! Love them!
Absolutely love this motor, it's so buttery smooth in my traxxas trx4 blazer. And the wheelies are awesome in 2nd gear.

Thank you for a good review of this product. You have answered the questions I had and make the decision to put one of these both of my TRX4s.
Installed the 1800kv version on my modified gen 7 pro and absolutely love it.its a slow crawl beast!!

A perfect choice, i think! Espacialy in this 2 Speed TRAXXAS NEW BRONCO... It crawles AND runs... A fine Trail Crawler... 👍👍👍😁
I just bought this motor for my Element Gatekeeper. Glad to see it is working so well for you!

Glad to help
Have the 1800kv one and love it other than it could use a touch more speed, this one looks promising as long as it stays cool.
I'm sunning min on a 13t pinion and 2.2 tires. It doesn't even break a sweat.
@@FarmerFpv How much faster is the top end with the 13t vs this video with the stock gearing?

I would be launching that servo as far as I could into the woods. It’s almost as bad as a outrunner on a castle esc.
LOL its not quiet at all!!
Can't believe you still have the stock servo in that thing lol.
its the 2055 its traxxas servo but its not stock, not even sure they are selling them any more
I hope to see you try this motor in the redcat ascent
I've seen the fusion 1800kv melt in a 2speed transmission running an 11t pinion
We have quite a few of them locally, issues happen though

Can you see if that motor will fit in a stock Capra 🤔 or are we stuck with 540 or upgraded skid
The 2300 is super snappy in reverse and drive. I need to adjust the settings
A Very Cool Mod!!!
Will the hobbywing work with the TQI blue tooth?
Why did you buy a motor mount that doesn't fit properly? I never broke factory motor mount

When you're talking about the motor, what does FOC stand for?
Field Oriented Control, basically the esc will keep the motor at a certain rpm loaded or not
