Hahah, thanks 🤝 I definitely agree that it takes more work, but I think that’s the exact reason the quality of the material is better. There’s a larger barrier to entry and I think that’s what makes people have to be more creative instead of just doing quick trends.
@@DarrenNaylor I 100% agree that the quality of long-form is better, and I prefer the connection with others that it can provide. I just hope that RUclips doesn’t penalize creators who don’t want to make shorts. I realize they want to compete with tiktok, but to me watching tiktok is like jumping into a car that’s already going 100 mph, and when you’re done you just jump out of the car. Long-form YT isn’t like that at all. I appreciate that you’re doing what matters to you.

The Channel MUST align with your life goals. I just found my great idea. I've grown one channel to 25k without trying very hard, this next one will be a million.
I'm 3 years in, 3.5k subscribers, monetized in November and all I can say is that you hit the nail on the head with this video. RUclips is the best decision I ever made after the pandemic and I'm still publishing and going strong. Those of you reading this, keep going! It's so worth it, even outside of getting monetized - RUclips helped me get a new job, it seconds as a video editing portfolio & it has helped build my personal brand 100x more than the last 10 years on IG ever did.
@@aerickwander it took me a whole year to get my first 200-300 subscribers! Keep it up! Make search based content if possible, update older titles & thumbnails, and make uploading a video every week or 2 part of your routine! 💪🏽
After building the courage, I finally started a RUclips channel to showcase the step-by-step process of creating wire-art cars, a childhood passion I had neglected for years. I just hit 125 subscribers! 🎉
“What am I doing here? I’m sharing myself, I’m sharing my energy”. We gotta do this first and foremost for ourselves, mostly for ourselves as a way to honour our own innate right to be, to express whatever we’ve brought to share and give to the world. I’ve been procrastinating creating my channel precisely because of the fear of sharing who I am, fear of opening up, fear of blossoming into the world. People can be really fucking cruel and the more sensitive one is the less encouraged they feel to get exposed and judged. I’m much closer than I’ve ever been though. The awful lot of shadow work I’ve done is bringing fruitful results. Thank you for this very necessary video mate.
I can completely relate to your words. Going on healing journey too, creating and putting myself out there is me overcoming my own shadows, we are in this together!
Well said. One thing I've learned in life is that special things reside on the other side of fear. Steven pressfield says it well, saying that any worthwhile idea or pursuit will have an equal level of fear/resistance. That when it comes to progress, the more afraid you are of trying something that is calling you, the more it means that you should go in that direction.
well said brother, but the fear of getting judged by people is often less than the fear of never trying to pursue that inner innate dream that always come to someone´s own mind. So overcome that fear and you will realise that it was always a bigger fear in the own head than in real life
I just recently hit 1000 subscribers and, oddly, I may have felt a greater sense of accomplishment hitting that goal than when I completed a PhD in Molecular Biology which took 6 years. It's probably because it was so far out of my comfort zone when I started, so it took a lot more effort than I ever thought it could. Having the data trend positively and then hitting goals is a pretty awesome feeling sometimes.
You perfectly described why it's felt like such an accomplishment for me as well. It's extremely uncomfortable talking to a camera and then putting it out there for the world to see. Cheers to never giving up!
Ive just come from ‘the land of instant gratification’ and restarting over here and it’s so refreshing. It feels very welcoming and as you say, encourages you to create and grow in a healthy way. Ty. ✨
RUclips doesn’t just create value for the moment, but also for the future. This is what I most love about the platform as an artist. My art lives on forever. ❤
"Creating for myself". That's it right there. I worked in TV for 15+ years. I got to work on some cool stuff. But nothing is as satisfying as creating FOR YOURSELF. Not for your boss. Not for an audience. Not for a marketing team. Just you.
Love this! I only want to create videos that I personally would love to watch and I know that there are others that enjoy my videos and content because I get subscribers regularly and engagement. Not a lot but some.
@@elissawatsonvlog same - I want to share all the places I visit. I want to share tips and tricks about travel. I live in San Diego - there are literally millions of things I can create content on. Things that I've been overlooking. My style will be my offering, just me, talking about San Diego places and things. Eventually I'll even show my face - LOL
Seems like a lot of creative people are coming back around to RUclips and approaching it in a different way. For me, it's not about CRUSHING the algorithm or finding the secret in the sauce. It's just about "Making" something and putting it out there.
You found the winning combination. Being a RUclipsr is very similar to running your own business. You should upload things people want to see, just like businessman should offer product/service that people need. And when the growth becomes real, you can consider hiring people to help you run your channel more efficiently. The most difficult part is starting and growing of course, but patience and hard work (with a little bit of Famester) will always pay off at the end. Good luck to everybody, I hope everyone is going to succeed one day.
Your RUclips post is refreshing. I forgot people used to just post real life content experiences in feelings like you did here. Things we can relate to. Good stuff
Instagram was my main platform but the constant ads and poor algorithm was overwhelming. I started posting on RUclips without worrying about the content or how it would "perform". I'd say I have been in creative bliss lately without all those worries. I started to create for myself again
Your authenticity is tangible and breath of fresh air.. there is such a draw away from that in these times and how true that if you stop giving your creative expression an honest outlet but instead chasie after a trend, you will only be inviting frustration and insecurity… inspiring post!
I’m so tired of short form - algorithms and shadowbans and negativity not only from the trolls but the actual platforms. A lot of us are tired of trying to change the world in 30 seconds! I’ve been thinking about how to make this change back into long form and this video is very encouraging. One video a week it is. Thank you!
exactly - I like shorts but now I'm creating long form. Travel stuff with voiceovers using CapCut. I don't want to be that "influencer in the wild" doing crazy things and annoying people.
I’m a 39 year old mom, professional photographer and filmmaker and this really resonated with me. I like the challenge of uploading a video a week to push yourself. I’m going to try that.
I actually did the 30 days short challenge, took about an hour a day to make a decent short and it blew up my metrics by hundreds of percent. Keep in mind I already had material from my past long form video which I shortened to 15 - 20 second shorts. It's a great way to see what works, what doesn't and be surprised by what does.
@cherishchee Absolutely! as someone who just started - I would suggest - just start - and try to get fun out of the process. First few videos always suck - but it is like everything on the journey of life. First steps, first days at works etc.
I couldn’t have put it better myself, this is exactly why my husband and I started our channel only a few days ago. For US. We don’t can’t if we get followers or likes or whatnot. We just want to connect with like minded people and expand on our knowledge in this community while making memories! Thank you for the encouragement and the transparency!
I agree with you, I started making youtube videos in 2015 maybe, now reaching 20k subscribers. There were times I gave up on it, but always was confused about why youtube encourages “trends” instead of original content creators. Your video gave me a motivation to keep making original content instead of getting carried away by “trending topics”.
RUclips is the best place to create content as a long term asset. I have a channel where I havent posted in 2yrs and it has just had a huge surge in subs and watch hours with just 12 videos.
21 subscribers in! Started my channel 1 week ago and feel extremely good to share my thoughts with everyone so openly! Best of luck to every new RUclips creator for stepping out of your comfort zone to contribute to the society! Onwards and Upwards!
Great video. For anyone on the fence, just be authentic. You can start your first video by telling them what they'll learn by watching your video and then LITERALLY saying "This is my first video, I'm a little nervous" and all will be fine!
You just proved your point to me. I clicked on this thinking I'd watch the first few minutes and then click away. You retained me via authenticity and not using overly stimulating cuts, edits, and retention techniques. I watched the entire video. You were simply honest. Well done, and thank you.
Thanks man I’m an older guy with no tech background minimal video editing skills and just started learning to bass fish and doing videos info was great for me I appreciate!!!!!
RUclips is definitely a hustle but it's straight from the heart. Before march 3rd, I only had 144 followers so for anyone out there who is doing the grind... simply express yourself. Doesn't matter how. Do it for yourself and the love of what you believe in. Everything will eventually fall into place. The algorithm will help you find your people!
It's so true about RUclips being a less pressure and more substantive long term. Lot's of videos take off and get the bulk of their views well after posting date, it just takes time for them to hit the right audience. Sometimes, nothing happens at all. It's like gardening, where you plant the seeds and hope for the best.
Bro… I have 147 subscribers and I needed this so much. I couldn’t get myself to record anything for 5 years but yesterday I made 2 vlogs …. Ima go edit them and upload right now ❤️✌🏼 god bless
I came across your channel this morning after releasing a video of my own and decided to give it a try to hear your two cents. I think everything you said is exactly right. I’m 2+ years in and find nothing but growth on this platform. I don’t compete, I don’t have envy, I’m not jealous of bigger creators because I am making for me. I’m also grateful to the 4300 people who enjoy what I do, and I think that’s a big difference between RUclips and the other platforms. I think it’s a community here is quite possibly more valuable than any other platform. Anyhow, I really enjoyed this video, so keep painting and acting and creating because you’re pretty damn good at it.
I really appreciate it and congrats on your success in here so far! That’s a great audience for such a short period of time. Cheers to growth and creating 🙏🏻
Congratz on your success bro..Im grateful to hear from you, as newbie channel, Hoping to be like you, God Bless you more..In everything we do, we must put God first for He will guide us on our way❤❤
I started 5 years ago never took it seriously and only had 12 subs for that time Then I did something about woke and bud lite. With Super Bowl. I got 3.7 view it shock me. So I put up my first serious video on story that happened this week as a truck driver that had a few problems. And called an April fools joke. In last 8 hours since posting I’m over 50 views and I’m sure the subs will eventually come. I just planning to tell stories of my road trips Some will take off and others will give the attitude that they just wasted 5 minutes of their time
I've been on RUclips and was a daily uploader at 1 point, but rarely ever touched TikTok. To me, as a finance RUclipsr, RUclipss demographic just seems more mature and you get more time to really talk deeply about diff topics.
Totally agree with your video… I’m nearly at the 100k subs mark, but I’m always learning with YT and find I have loads of people saying, I’ve just watched one of your early vids etc. wishing you and the channel all the best. 🙏 keep at it
I discovered many genuine individuals on RUclips, and it's enjoyable to engage with people, especially creators who interact with their audience. I'm exhausted by the quick pace of short-form content and prefer storytelling like you do. I wish you more success and telling more stories.
Man this video struck a chord. I can relate here. Got so burnt out trying to keep up on IG that I just quit creating content altogether and just recently I got back into editing videos I shot months ago and really enjoyed it. This was the video I needed to see today to push me back to creating long form content that I enjoy and stop worrying about what’s trending. Thank you!
I’m actually a guitar RUclipsr so this was pretty funny when you used that as an example. Agree so much on how RUclips videos stick around as opposed to instagram and TikTok. I have videos from long ago that suddenly get a boost in views and comments. So if a video I make doesn’t get a lot of views at the start, it doesn’t feel wasted. Just reached 1000 subs a little while ago and it’s growing every day, so it’s a very fun process.
This video is what my spirit guides wanted me to see today. I can personally attest this was the reason for my switch and honestly my videos are 4 me and I hope my content finds its audience but this platform gives me more room to be original. I HATE TRENDS. I hate being a follower and I spent YEARS on other platforms & realized psychologically it was stealing my passion; I allowed it bc my focus shifted for the wrong reasons. Thanks for sharing. I’m growing on my main RUclips channel & I’m really going to keep at it. This was confirmation❤
The trends can be fun to do here and there, but those platforms are now just built on people doing only trends. There is very little unique creativity anymore. Glad to hear you’ve shifted your focus! You’re in the right place 🤝
This is uplifting. I started a channel with no previous history on other platforms and may have had too high expectations in terms of numbers but I came to terms with just focusing on having fun and doing what I want rather than playing the catch up game of mr beast and company.
Thanks for sharing your experience. I just today got 500 subscribers and I’m blown away by it all! It might not seem a lot but still it feels like an accomplishment! Hopefully it’ll keep on growing strong. Best of luck to all RUclipsrs here! 😎👍 P.S This was a very helpful video and had to subscribe to your channel. Definitely deserves more subscribers👍
I like to think that you left the camera going all night between Day 1 and Day 2 and then edited out 8+ hours of total darkness and silence. Now that would be relatable (to me, anyway). New subscriber, btw.
I love this video! And I also thinks it’s awesome that when you posted this, it was when you only had 500 subs, and now you’ve got over 10k! Great job, and very inspiring video. You’ve gained another follower ❤
It's awesome how you mentioned you tried to do YT a few times before, but then you really committed to doing 1 video per week. That's exactly my story right there! I've always wanted to do YT for the longest and have it a few tries but never really committed. Then this year, I decided to go all in and start what I called PROJECT48, where I post at least 1 video per week for the rest of the year (started first week of Feb and from there, there's 48 weeks left in the year...get it? 😅). But yeah just posted my 7th video and have more on the way! Can't wait to see where this YT journey takes me.
Thanks for this video, Darren. I enjoyed every single moment of it. I hope you grow and see your content (film, painting etc) getting out there to people that love it. I am on RUclips since almost the beginning of RUclips. I never saw anything special happening with my channel (i was never consistent with posting every week or every 2 weeks or anything like that) but there are two things I know for sure: 1. Some people have seen and enjoyed my music (that's great, i have no complaint about it) and 2. SOMEDAY, *maybe* one of my songs will get super viral, after 5-10-15 yrs (and if I am dead, my children will earn some money from dad's music lol). The best part of YT is that there is ALWAYS a chance for any video to get discovered and spread. It is not a spreed, it is a marathon (for most creators). But that's also what makes me feel the same, as you: Less pressure. I have been on TikTok , Instagram etc and..... nope, it doesn't work positively for me either. That "trial and error" game is not ok for me. On RUclips I like the fact that you "plant" something and SOMETIME, if it's worth it, it will "bloom" (sooner or later). So I don't have the stress (of course I don't make a living from it either. It's my hobby... for which I pay of course - to be able to make videos etc -) of waiting to see what happens. I just post and forget.
I appreciate it! The trends were fun for a while but it hit me pretty hard when I realized I stopped creating anything original. I think they can still be in the mix but not the primary things being posted. I’ve had more fun posting here since shifting my focus.
Hey Darren, I'm a professional oil painter and I teach 3-4 classes/year, and I took 4 semesters of video production at a local community college. I love painting and shooting videos on how to painting videos and editing. Now I'm ready to start my own YT channel and love the straight forward style you share with us. I encourage you to share more of your painting/video content for artists like us. As one artist said, "We drink from the same cup". How true are those words of encouragement. Great video, keep sharing, you are on the right path!
I sent this to our sales team to explain why RUclips is totally different than Facebook, instagram, X, etc. Your methodical and calm presentation included examples anyone can relate to. Ramping up our RUclips content has been on my to do list for years. I think this got me off dead center with a simple and low starting point. I’m always creating grand schemes with lists and sub lists. The journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. This video popped up for a reason. As he says, time spent on RUclips is mostly about learning and growing. Thanks for this one.
I was kinda like you till it clicked for me in February...I started posting consistently...and the growth has been encouraging...now I'm doubling to make more videos that i want to watch... The tip you really need is "START" thanks bro 🔥
I started my RUclips journey at just 14 in 2014, I initially focused on creating videos about trending topics. However, despite my efforts, I was disheartened by the lack of views. This pattern repeated when I shifted to gaming-related content in 2017. Feeling discouraged, I abandoned my channel yet again. Now, a decade since I first began, I've returned to RUclips with a renewed determination. Even if it takes another ten years to reach 10k subscribers, I refuse to give up. It's uplifting to connect with others who share a similar journey of setbacks and perseverance.
100% agree man with many of these points. **After pouring ourselves into the video creation and it living past 24 hours feel so much better as a creator!
Im a newbie and pretty must just came straight out the gate this year doing shorts after no activity for 9 years. I agree with u on how TikTok, IG reels bring that adrenaline rush and pressure, waiting for those likes and gratification. It can be overwhelming. But as u said, YT long form content has a different vibe. I love your story. Thanks for sharing. Definitely subscribing.
this is exactly where I am. Feeling disengaged from making the same trending VO type comedy. I want to make original content- it’s hard though because it doesn’t get pushed out the same
Darren, thank you for this wonderful video! Very heartwarming and inspiring❤I started recording videos myself just a few months ago after quitting drinking and smoking and switching to SR. And it's just recently taken off. Subscribed and will follow your success!
I only started taking RUclips seriously as a creator about a year ago, I am only a small channel with under 1k subs, but that is ok because I am not here for a race. RUclips for me has always been a platform for learning new skills, and now I find myself sharing my skill set with the community which I really enjoy. My interests are around cinematography, photography, set design, lighting, 3d modelling and animation which is how I stumbled on your channel, but the focus on my channel is all about 3d creative pipelines. I am really glad I stumbled upon your channel, I will enjoy learning absorbing your content and learning new things.
You nailed it. RUclips can lift you up when you're down. While other platforms are designed to hook you in and pull you down so low you're desperate...yet addicted, and can't stop scrolling. It's EVIL. You come here, and it's about connection. Those other platforms make me want to take a shower. Keep on keeping it real. Ya got me. I'm subbed!
Great video, man! Really glad I saw this! I’m in the same boat, for years I have been wanting to take RUclips more seriously, but I’ve never done so. I ended up getting wrapped up in the world of professional videography, clients, projects, and never once focused on myself. I just moved from Miami to Fort Myers just a couple of days ago, and I have decided that enough is enough, it’s time to content for me! Keep up the great work!
I appreciate it! Well it sounds like you already have a strong skillset that's really popular on here so you're already a step ahead of most. Start uploading and experimenting and seeing what works. The momentum will help push through the slow beginning process. Just make sure you upload regularly and are having fun with it. We go this 🤝
I finally built up some courage and confidence to start recording. Honestly these videos have been very helpful and i hope great things will come your way brother 🤝🏽🔥
Thanks for that. I like the way you are moving around opening doors etc.. Just got my first 500 subs myself.I've been working with my honeybees all day and that's hard. It was nice to hear your calming voice. I too and a photographer (PPA, Certified Professional Photographer). And, I've been a painter for most of my life. Keep it up, I'll be watching.
Frustrating for me... I have 150+ videos...16k watch hours and 1033 subscribers....but only 1 has gone viral and unfortunately (regardless of my audio remastering efforts), RUclips doesn't consider it enough of a change and flags it as REUSE (versus, putting up a silly "reaction" video on same content) and thus has denied me monetization twice now. I hate that I have no one to discuss this with and end up making changes and then having to wait another 3 months to reapply and get the same response regardless of my appeal video content and putting up tons of original material since first monetization denial. SO FRUSTRATING! Subbed - Really enjoyed the video Darren.
Fellow painter/filmmaker here - I appreciate your perspective. It's a good reminder that if I just create the types of videos I was searching for way back when, my channel will naturally evolve into what it's meant to be - whatever that is.
As a newcomer who's just loaded his 9th video and over the month I've had a channel, gained 10 subscribers (and got thrilled at that 🤣) I found this video of yours really insightful and encouraging. Love the content.
heck yeah dude! I have been on RUclips since 2008. Watching and learning for years, not realizing I missed about half a dozen opportunities I could have created content around. Now I am just enjoying the process and let the growth happen organically. This is a marathon, not a sprint, so patience is a must. Keep rocking the videos dude and I just subbed to you!
Man I something similar happen on TikTok in 2020. I kept having videos do really well but didn’t take it serious and stopped posting for long periods of time. I didn’t realize the opportunity until I saw other accounts as small as mine blow up to hundreds of thousands of followers and now make a living from it, haha. All good tho, I’m more comfortable here and not in a rush. Just want to connect with the art/film community and make stuff I like. Let’s keep building, bro 🤝
@@DarrenNaylor well said my friend. It is such a huge place of community most of all. I really feel that if we can all create content that reminds us of our favorite shows we all looked forward ro watching, we will hit that critical point. It takes effort and dedication for sure. Keep pushing brother it is already happening for you and I will be joining on your videos when they upload!
You've reinforced my idea that stressing about putting stuff on IG really isn't worth it and is actually pretty bad for mental health and not conducive to making stuff that matters. Also I've had a channel with around 500 subs that i rarely ever used and haven't posted on in years, plus a big audience in another area of my life I quit (podcasting) that I could bring over here, and I shouldn't waste that potential. Thanks for the inspiration.
This so resonates with me. I'm a painting artist too, and have been researching and experimenting. Trying to understand what makes RUclips tick and how people respond to it. But...BUT...the last thing I want to do is please the algorithm and create out of compulsion vs passion. Paintings can indeed take weeks or months...but not posting in between isn't working well either. So, currently making videos that still fall within the art niche, but trying to broaden my horizon, speak to multiple types of people that might visit my channel, but still talking and creating things I like to do, not that RUclips wants me to do. Best of luck with your channel, seems like it's taking off, well done!!
You just stated all the reasons why I will be starting my youtube channel this 2024. This year, I will creating for myself, and not for trends, not for anyone else.
Yes Yes and Yes! I totally agree with your viewpoints on social media (instagram, tik tok) vs youtube. I have been getting so tired of following trends on IG and viewing the same content all over again every day. Creating RUclips content is more fun and it is certainly more satisfactory ❤
Dude, I feel you, that's why I started taking it seriously lately. It is a way for me to express myself through jokes and trying to make people laugh in my target niche.
Just started my channel. Currently at 500 subs. Cigar asmr prep, and toasting shorts. I'm loving it. I should have started my RUclips channel 3 years ago. It not too late! Wishing yall success !
Dude this is so true! RUclips taught me everything I needed to leave my job and set up my video production business in 2017. I've seriously fallen out of love with Instagram for many of the reasons you mention.
Have had a RUclips channel for several years, I’m on 2k subs now but I haven’t been consistent. I have videos that did well but over time I just got discouraged by others not doing well and uninspired to create more. Your video is very insightful and I stumbled on it as I was searching motivational and strategic ideas for actively growing a RUclips channel. Indeed the short form content platforms have been a pain and have discouraged most of us. I am glad that I am coming back stronger on RUclips than ever before. Again, GREAT VIDEO. And thank you so much.
It's all true. I've learned SO much awesome stuff from RUclips. Been a big fan of long form content for quite sometime now. Used to find myself listening to Tubers talk shop with each other on Live Streams occasionally even though I was just listening cuz I though they were cool. Almost never occurred to me that I could do that too. And now I am! My channel is tiny, I'm just some guy playing board games in his studio apartment, and I have NO idea what I'm doing. But people engage with that anyway! I wanna keep growing and make cool stuff on here. Nothing in my life has EVER excited me more y'all!
I'm so glad this video popped up on my home feed. I must admit, at first I thought it would be just like the others but I genuinely got a lot of value out of this. I'm the same, I love the slower nature of RUclips and how you can share things in a longer format.
I love the "get it? Doors open." lol I'm on a similar journey from transitioning from short form to long form. There's so much more value in long form IMO but def takes more work. Here to support your journey!
Hahah, thanks 🤝
I definitely agree that it takes more work, but I think that’s the exact reason the quality of the material is better. There’s a larger barrier to entry and I think that’s what makes people have to be more creative instead of just doing quick trends.
I like to mix it up!!!!

Right there with ya, buddy. ❤
I can completely relate to your words. Going on healing journey too, creating and putting myself out there is me overcoming my own shadows, we are in this together!
Good job ❤
That’s so cool to read’
Subscribed just to keep the trend up 😁
You perfectly described why it's felt like such an accomplishment for me as well. It's extremely uncomfortable talking to a camera and then putting it out there for the world to see. Cheers to never giving up!
Congratulations

"Share these things, and trust they will find their audience" - I love that about this platform.
Absolutely 🤝
hope so! :)
That's true!
Same!
I read this as he said it 😂 the universe works in mysterious ways 😂
I dig it
exactly. I want subscribers and I'm revisiting past Travel and future travel. I want people to view, but I'm making it for myself.

💯 true story… I set aside YT for a while but now finding my way back

Here's to all that will grow and hit their first 500 and beyond 🍻
Stay dedicated!
No mater how many subs you have, youtube can still change lives.
Alot info.ive gotta relisten when not so sick..thank you .
I've learnt 3D printing, coding and how to build a gaming pc entirely on youtube from scratch, this are just random examples. I love this platform
Your authenticity is tangible and breath of fresh air.. there is such a draw away from that in these times and how true that if you stop giving your creative expression an honest outlet but instead chasie after a trend, you will only be inviting frustration and insecurity… inspiring post!
50+ subscribers in the last 30 days! Enjoying the process and the support!
I’m so tired of short form - algorithms and shadowbans and negativity not only from the trolls but the actual platforms. A lot of us are tired of trying to change the world in 30 seconds! I’ve been thinking about how to make this change back into long form and this video is very encouraging. One video a week it is. Thank you!
One is what he did, more than one you'll hit the algorithm quicker.
The more you put out the quicker you'll hit.
exactly - I like shorts but now I'm creating long form.
Love to hear it! Just keep creating and experimenting 🤝👍
Your followers will come fa sure!
It is so refreshing to watch a video on this topic that isn't gimmicky or unrealistic. Thank you for the inspiration
"Get in the habit of creating" is fantastic advice. Thank you for the reminder!
🤝🤝
RUclips is the best place to create content as a long term asset. I have a channel where I havent posted in 2yrs and it has just had a huge surge in subs and watch hours with just 12 videos.
That's amazing, man. I never knew that about this platform. Definitely one of my favorite parts about it so far.
have to say I agree with you 100%. youtube is where it's at!
I have 19 subscribers and am so happy with it in the short time I've been on you tube. This video gives me the encouragement to keep going❤❤ thank you
Always keep going even when your mind is telling you to stop.
It gets greater later.
I sure hope so. It's starting to get hard if I don't get subs but I'm not giving up
RUclips is definitely a hustle but it's straight from the heart.
Love to hear it!!
147 subscribers is awesome! I hope one day to reach that level! Well done to you!

I started 5 years ago never took it seriously and only had 12 subs for that time Then I did something about woke and bud lite. With Super Bowl. I got 3.7 view it shock me. So I put up my first serious video on story that happened this week as a truck driver that had a few problems. And called an April fools joke. In last 8 hours since posting I’m over 50 views and I’m sure the subs will eventually come. I just planning to tell stories of my road trips Some will take off and others will give the attitude that they just wasted 5 minutes of their time
If you found yourself on this video I hope you reach your goal don’t give up !! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

Thank you.
Thank you I needed this ❤
I've been on RUclips and was a daily uploader at 1 point, but rarely ever touched TikTok.
🙏 keep at it
Look how great this video has done, maybe your strengths is giving people help and advice for YT 🙌
I discovered many genuine individuals on RUclips, and it's enjoyable to engage with people, especially creators who interact with their audience. I'm exhausted by the quick pace of short-form content and prefer storytelling like you do.
I wish you more success and telling more stories.
I really appreciate it! More to come :)
Great job soldier! Continued success!!👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
Well, I'm in my forties and going out on this limb! Thank you for sharing!
Really happy this showed up on my home page. Thanks for putting yourself out there and giving some insight and words of encouragement.
I’m really glad to hear that and I appreciate it!

P.S This was a very helpful video and had to subscribe to your channel. Definitely deserves more subscribers👍
You’re very genuine and authentic. Really enjoyed your video!
I have finally dived into RUclips Showroom of content creation.
I like to think that you left the camera going all night between Day 1 and Day 2 and then edited out 8+ hours of total darkness and silence. Now that would be relatable (to me, anyway). New subscriber, btw.
hahahah my memory cards would never forgive me. Welcome, I appreciate you 🤝
Haha, love this comment!
yeah. I feel what you are saying. RUclips allows you to just be you😊
I love this video!
This was dope. Very similar feelings and ready to create for myself rather than trends or clients
I‘ve got several on my channel, check them out 😁
More to come as well!

I appreciate it! Well it sounds like you already have a strong skillset that's really popular on here so you're already a step ahead of most.

nice one Darren. You're cool ;)
Thanks, bro! 🤝
Subbed - Really enjoyed the video Darren.

heck yeah dude!

@@DarrenNaylor well said my friend. It is such a huge place of community most of all.

RUclips will forever be my favorite platform. I love love creating videos here!
Darren, I love this. I'm an actor in NYC and started a YT channel three months ago. I share your views and your video gives me hope. Thank you.
As someone who is just starting their channel, I appreciate what you're saying here.
Thanks for the encouragement, I am on my second try at starting here. Hopefully, it works out.
I'm so glad this video popped up on my home feed. I must admit, at first I thought it would be just like the others but I genuinely got a lot of value out of this. I'm the same, I love the slower nature of RUclips and how you can share things in a longer format.
