The younger generation that’s just finding this has no idea what it was like to be a 90s baby playing your video games every chance you get to go into another world or dimension and these tunes just took a kid’s imagination even further. That’s what life is about translating imagination into creative reality, while slaying dragons on your life’s mission of course !!!!

I played this when it first came out and when I got to the forest part (yep tune starts in the forest) I kinda just froze for a moment, then did what I had to do and got out. A very small part of the game. The next day I was thinking of the tune and it took forever to rediscover the location but I did and stayed in the forest for a long time. Finished the game and was glad it got a ton of accolades but kept thinking but what about that song??? At least once a year I go searching for the tune on RUclips. Can't remember the superior game but I can't get this otherworldly song ever out of my mind...yea
It seems this song pays direct homage to Genji Ito's 1977 song Konukaame, with a similar arpeggio, bass, and tom-slide-thing they do to make that 'ooooh' sound.
