    I love how Yasunori Mitsuda treats the Chrono Trigger theme in various of his songs. You can hear it here in 'Fields Of Time', 'Dreams Of The Ages', 'Chronomantic', all from Chrono Cross, and in 'Memories Of Green' and of course 'Chrono Trigger', from the first game of the saga. Truly the greatest soundtrack for a videogame saga.

      So true. These games do a very good job of that.
      I noticed something that sucks... It's harder to get immersed these days...
      Games tend to be crappier and less orig but also being older and so busy now keeps me from having the time to just chill out and get lost in the game.

      @rileyboy10 3 года назад

      @@Sealdeam I think the issue for me personally, as someone who views chrono trigger as their favourite game of all time. Cross just felt lackluster all around, there is plenty to love about it and i think it would've done better had it not been a sequal and was a stand alone title. Because for a sequal it does a poor job, 90% of the game you have no idea its even connected to the first game at all then out of nowhere they drop it on you but by that point I was more annoyed I had to wait so long. And even then they massively over complicated the story of the first game with everything they added, and it didn't need that. One of the best things about Chrono trigger to me is that it's story is straight forward and doesn't require a wiki to understand. Even after completing cross the first time I still wasn't sure entirely how the two games were connected. It had a good premise, the whole idea that lavos which was buried in the planet for such a long time pretty much screwed so many other timelines by getting rid of it essentially Crono and gang tried to save the world and they did, but also kind of messed it up in the process was really cool, but they could've executed better I feel. All the stuff with lynx and everything else just felt meh because all trigger fans wanted was the reveal of how the games were connected and what happened after the first game. And it takes so long before you get any of that.

    For a world to matter if it's worth saving, you need peace and serenity. only then can chaos and conflict have meaning.
    Chrono Cross had such an amazing music direction that despite the short scuffles going on over the entire map, it never felt like the game wasn't worth playing through to the end. With so many games coming out in these coming years, I feel many games forget that. It was a land worth saving.
    I think I understand the final message of the game just a bit more today than I did back then.

      Yeah, I hear you about gaming keeping one out of trouble. My parents used to constantly get on my case for gaming and told me to be more like my relatives and kids at school [who didn't game], and who were always getting into trouble doing all the things that my parents thought I should be doing instead. So many of them are messed up adults now because of those days.

    enjoying a song this much should not be possible the switches between smooth somber tones and drums passing into a soft high hat cabasa combo that works so well in there shared dynamic the way the piano blends with and transitions back and forth from strings this is magical the mix of conga drums or bongos with claves and wood blocks in the background and with the bells mixed with a more distorted and electronic sound giving the impression that you've dove under the water this is a truly a composition that would take far more then a thousand pictures to put into words just wounderfull thank you to all party's involved including Kuta Sensei for putting this together for us to find
