Its the curse of the 4runner. You get rid of it and the ghost of the 4runner shows you what you're missing.
😁😁😁😁😁
Same comment as on the Defender video - get a GX460!! Full time 4WD, so very good on snow - especially with 3peak rated tires. Old school hydraulic power steering with real road feel - highly reliable!!
Yea... GX or LX, obviously GX for durability its still a ? for the LX. Id still consider it tho. They had one at my dealer. I love the size. To me that's PERFECT. Im talking LX... the GX is nice too i wouldn't turn that down either. Id overland the hell out of either with some bad ass Dissent bumpers and all the fun goodies. Yes yes...
Sold my gx there lame slow and boring love my 392. Reliability is overated!
Mr. Ben, you need a Lexus GX-460. Just do it, & stop it with these other junk vehicles...
I agree I own a Lexus
Seeing this thumbnail, I wanted to jump in here and suggest a Lexus GX 460. Looks like I am not the only one in love with this vehicle!
Agreed!
Lexus and Toyota are hard to beat
Lexus = 🥱
I went over every inch of my jeep when I got it. There were tons of loose fittings chipped paint loose bolts and loose fuses. They def need to be looked over. Still love it!
We love our 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 R-Code 427 FE V8. Still running strong and steering never has failed us. Cheers
Ben is the type of guy to get rid of a reliable car, then says he needs more reliable cars.
Be safe out there Ben.. video cool you showed us some stuff. Get a Mazda!! I have a 2021 Mazda 3 awd hatchback turbo.. not one issue love and super quick.
I love mazdas. I've had my mazda for the past 12 years no issues at all. Other than normal oil change, brakes etc....
Wrangler and Defender are at the bottom for reliability. Not saying they’re all bad! But, issues should be expected with both.
If only we could have Land Rovers looks with Lexus reliability and a Jeep with the same😍
I live near the tricities in southwest Ontario. You can get a real reliable horse and cart from the Mennonites. The horse is very green...the way Santa 🤶 Klaus likes it from the WEF
It’s not that your vehicles unreliable, take it to the dealer have them run a check, make sure you’re warming up your vehicle in the mornings it’s probably a sensor maybe not enough warm-up time just take it in there’s nothing wrong with your vehicle it’s the best 4 x 4 on the market.
I really cant imagine if i spent my hard earn money to buy new car...and only after couple of days it broke down....its really² turn me off and i will never buy that brand again for the rest of my life...
Pre-Covid made vehicles are GOLD. Mine have been amazingly reliable.
199k subs now almost 200k!!!
Ben review that area 51 platnuim f150 please
Im still going to push you towards the Golf R, but really consider the DSG its so damn quick to shift, really i own a Alltrack with a DSG and my Dad had a Golf R with the DSG and its soooo good. Funny enough he got rid of the R for a 4Runner lol.
I would love to get a 4Runner but it’s 2023 and I can’t get over the interior
0:47 Ugh... My LC500 was made durring line shut downs. Consequently its at the dealer as i type this for the umpteenth time for a SLEW of issues. SO many Lexus is reviewing my car. I feel like they just took marge from accounting and plunked her on the line to help build my car with bill from design, oh sorry Kyjo San from HR... i mean jesus guys I've never had a car like this. I FEEL YOU!!!!!
I have a 22 wrangler Willy’s and I would get messages popping up all the time and my speakers (Alpine system) with Bluetooth would sound staticky. Finally after the 3rd visit this was about 2 weeks ago they said a service bulletin came out to fix the issue and I haven’t had an issue since. They had to update the software. My car was saying “service fuel system performance limited” “service auto stop start system auto stop start disabled”
Your videos are helpful! Amazing job Ben.
Yeah...so you dont do the same mistake twice...again 😂
Once u own a Toyota...it is harder to drive another product...u have a higher expectation for a vehicle u drive...and most vehicles don't come close to the reliability of Toyota
That might be true when considering reliability. But if you want performance you just aren't going to find that in a 4runner. It seems you have to pick one or the other.
Fellow 392 xr owner here. Reliability is overrated. Make new friends at the dealer. 🤣 Could actually be the battery from what I’ve seen in the 392 forums. A battery that’s failing can seem to reveal all sorts of gremlins.
My Jeep 392 does exactly same thing and I’ve had two of them and one had horrible electrical issues
hey, my idol is here :)
Hi Ben, so sorry to hear about your troubles. Get a Volvo XC90 Recharge. You and the missus would love it.
🤦🏿♂️🤭👈 when it rains it snows huh
✌️😬😳👈... 🤭 Don't worry benny u/b aiiiight👍👀
Yep time to get a Hellcat durango Ben... 2023 baby they coming
Sorry to hear about the trouble. Just a quick advise.. could you not shoot the video with your cell while driving? You’re driving 90mph on highway👀
Is your garage heated? Do you warm up ur cars any before taking off? Maybe an engine block heater🤷🏻♂️
It doesn’t get super cold in Utah
Ben, do yourself a favor just get an Armada SL or Platinum trim new or used. You’ll come back here and thank me later.
Everyone realizes Ben buys and reviews vehicles that make good content on his channel right?
LX will be the best choice
Lol you're learning the hard way.....I hope
You know more than regular folks about cars, but you buy land rovers and jeeps, what were you expecting? But I understand, I love cars too, some of the most fun vehicles are also the most problematic!
Shoulda bought a Mitsubishi mirage 😤😤😤💯
One of many reasons why Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep, have such bad reliability ratings from Consumer Reports! They make interesting vehicles but I don't trust them!
Power steering? Must be all the garage Tetris you do.
P.S. Reliability is important. *cough* 4Runner *cough*
He obviously bought the Jeep for the big engine and performance it offers. The 4Runner may be reliable but not as fun when it comes to performance
@@tylerjantz882 Understood and agree. I actually think buying the Jeep makes sense if you have the $$$. Awesome toy that will hold its value. I just think its somewhat foolish to buy a Land Rover considering its reputation. Especially if you're buying it as a family vehicle
Qx80/Amarda is on the way
The Jeep power steering issue has possibly NOT been rumored to be caused by high speed driving (80+ m.p.h.) It is a possible safety feature designed into the vehicle to prevent driving at unnecessary high speeds possibly endangering the occupants of the vehicle.
OR
It may be the flux capacitor being defective and it is interfering with the blinker fluid negatively interfering with the spare tire pressure not being in sync with the gravitational pull of the lunar eclipse.
Didn’t you do a video a few weeks ago saying you sold the Mustang?
I know it is all this tech
Maybe it's the luck where the car makers are like, lets fuck with all of Ben Hardie's Power stearing on all of his cars!
Ben, you sell cars. We shouldn't have to tell you this. Honda, Acura, Toyota & Lexus. End of list, we all know why.
Should have got the bronco
Your next vehicle should be the Ford Explorer
One ecoboost cam phaser away from making your family ride the bus.
New Ford Bronco, Toyota TRD Sequoia or any of the Lexus suvs.
Do you offer a car buying course focused on purchasing for business use ?
No, because outside of the tax benefits that I’m familiar with, I’m not an expert in what is the best vehicle to buy for what business.
@@BenHardyCars thanks for responding and keep the amazing content coming on both channels. Is there a way to message you outside of the RUclips comment section? If you’re able to I’d like to get your expertise in regards how you were able to utilize vehicles as a tax benefit in your business.
Buy a Cadillac Escalade 2023 (CR says that its equally reliable as a Lexus)
🤣
Go straight to yota world and get a 4Runner, TRD off road premium. You’ll love it
With kdss.
Go for it Ben get a other vehicle
GOLF R all the way....AWD....a no brainer....cheers
That part of the interstate hates power steering. It's a no power steering zone. Lol.
Civic Type R
3:50 You sound like me. I only have an LC500, AT, V4S, and a Fireblade SP RR-R in my garage. Thats it. So if it snows or rains I'm a b!tch winning about how i cant go anywhere. I get it. And you do not want to ride in the rain or snow w/ Supercorsas. Not if you value your life.
told you, you should have traded in the jeep for a 4runner, still, I've got to admit, the jeep sounds good, but will never get one.
Audi RS3 as the new daily?
German cars are expensive money pits
I'd sell the defender/wrangler and get a 4runner or a lexus gx for the wife/baby
Poor ben family 😂
Bronco Bronco Bronco
Buy a Mazda!🤣🤣🤣
That would be the smartest thing someone could do.. there the best
Zoom zoom
Ben buy a toyota and your problems will be gone
Time for a GX460! 😂
You need to buy a Ford F150 Lariat Tremor 4door with 5foot bed. Trade your jeep.
You could have bought a Nissan Armada and lived a happy life with it.
❤️
Keep the four runner , loose the Defender and Jeep, build quality sucks, I got stuck in the woods with a Wrangler Rubicon, NEVER AGAIN!
Stuck in the mud/sand, etc. or stuck because of a mechanical issue?
@@dantimber Mechanical issue, lowrange would not engage.
Well to be fair I think both Land Rover and Jeep are historically unreliable brands
Ok you confirmed it was not the Defender or the Wrangler ...it's you... apparently you have made some bad choices in life or raked someone over the coals.
Karma, karma, will get you in due time.
FYI per the Land Rover dealer we bring our vehicle in once year or 15kmiles for service. The Defender new and old are built like a tanks. Its Karma Dude 😎
Sounds like you're driving an 18-wheeler. Jeeps are just plain crude.
Should have bought a Subaru!
😁
Yeah, totally trade it in for a Fiat, Mini, or Porsche. Then from there, maybe step over to any Korean or German model then Mitsubishi and Nissan. Get CVTs whenever possible, and the lowest displacement and/or highest specific output models you can. That's all a sure recipe for just slightly better reliability over time, and should promise plenty of opportunity for more "I can't believe it broke AGAIN" content. 😄
wow this is too funny
Your old reliable Toyota 4 runner is laughing….
You review cars, but you don’t know which ones are junk?
Buy the best vehicle on earth, a Subaru Crosstrek.
All the cars you review, you should know better. Get something made in Japan.
He buy 4runner...but sold it after few months 😂 for a broken land rover haha
I'll give you 45 for it😝
Toyota, dude. Get something Toyota. You won't have near as many breakdowns. That includes Lexus.
FCA cars are literally crap. 4 runner is way better.
Crap quality and reliability brands
Get a Toyota? 👀
Buy Japanese cars. Better quality control.
Maybe stop buying junk Chrysler and Landrover products...🤔
🍋🍋🤭
Buy Tesla.
