The film will be continued and turn into a short film created by the director, Jericca Cleland. She'll continue work on it with her team, so it won't be a Blender Studio release but I'm really glad it's still being worked on!
So the model with the brushstrokes and all will have a pretty high plycount right? Is there any way to bake the final creations into a game ready mesh?
is there a way to set a new rest position for the strokes? I have a mesh with brushstrokes for which I added a blendshape. Since "Deforming Surface" is checked, the brushstrokes deform with it. But when I try to bake the blendshape, the strokes snap back to their initial position. Any workaround for this?
Hey, does anyone know if it's possible to have the fill brush strokes pick up the colour from where they spawn? as in: i have an object with multiple materials and an image texture. I'd like to add a fill that reflects the colour changes
yep. im confused they dont add this option but u can made it with color attributes create new color attribute in target mesh e.g. strokes_color then go to cycles bake tab, set bake type to defuse > color set bake output target to Active Color Attribute and bake go to strokes settings > color > METHod: Surface Attribute and paste created color attribute name
After downloading the addon Blender says the init_py installer has an error and won't load the addon. I'm trying to find a solution myself for that. Oh. There it is. Read the limitations Kenzie. 4.2 and newer Haha. It looks cool I think I'll update then.
late answer but no due to the sheer amount of polygons unless you find a way to bake the strokes into textures but at this point you might as well just hand paint them.
You guys working on blender are God sent
This is a really mind-blowing workflow! Thank you so much❤
This looks amazing, thank you for the hard work!
Tried this a week or two ago, lovely setup! Customizing the color and flow is so intuitive.
Absolutely awesome, stunning art tool and workflow - well done !!!
Les prochaines versions de blender sont toujours intéressantes ’wow
Secretly hoping Project Gold becomes Blender's first feature length animated film because this is practically alchemy at this point.
It was cancelled :c

So exciting! Thanks, Blender! Will there be a demo of how to make and use our own brush stroke atlases?
That's planned, alongside some improvements in the UX for that 👍 Keep an eye on our blog in the next coming weeks!

@@BlenderStudio, does it mean we can't import Ps brushes to the tool?
This is amazing, i hope to use it on a personal project i want to do one day when i have more time.
Can you add noise modifiers as with greasepencil?
This is it! Thanks so much for a tool like this!
Is there a way to export the geo/color/texture of the strokes outside of blender?
We out here!
How to bake the Brush Strokes to a texture or mesh? So that it can be exported to a game?
can you bake the strokes as a uv texture?
I love you guys
Awesome
just as i started to check out this style thats fucking awesome guys!
Are Brushstrokes a new object property? Or an add on that extends Grease pencil?
can you transfer the color value from textured base mesh to the brush strokes?
This is awesome! I really want to export this painterly look into Unreal...does anyone know how I could do that?

great
Can we bake this as a texture ?
Blender obrigado por existir
How long before the flow tool is ported over to retopology ?
...the free edge flow tool ?
...ported to retopology ? ?
.....retopology as a own 3d editor or as own toolset ?
@@sebbosebbo9794 Drawing the retopo flow, just like I have done in at least one app that works on topology.
what if a model holds image texture with logo marks or labels, how do we creatively use over there?

wonderful work , tool, update & showcase. ............thx............

Is this graphical style easily exported to UE?

@@AliVe1234 hand painting all of this seems like a lot of work, I hope it can be baked
Basically blender towards cgi what toon boom for rigging? Too bad flash disappeared wasn't bad.
flash isn't gone, just renamed to adobe animate, toonboom is just flash with more fancy features, both use the same technique for drawing underneath.
@maxrinehart4177 . Honestly, when toon boom gets the right budget and art style, trumps flash(Polly pocket was good example while still running).

Is it possible to release Cut Tool which is also been used in Gold? 🥹
Keep a eye out for an upcoming series of articles about that topic on our blog! Files and explanations how to recreate it will be attached 🙌
