Short, sweet, and to the point. Thanks for the great tips! I like to use a wyvern, once I have one, to harvest cactus sap with the "crouch" attack. I know the chainsaw will get you more, but also puts you in danger when you dismount....
Yeah dragons make surviving a lot safer for sure. Is the crouch attack the wind attack with its wings? I haven’t tested that out yet, I forget you could use that for thatch and wood. Also thank you for sharing the feedback, I really appreciate it.
@ChaosBearGaming Yes, that's the one. It gets you thatch & wood with regular trees, sometimes sap from pine trees (ASE), and cactus sap from cacti. It also pushes smaller dinos away without drawing agro.
Very good video. My usual farming trip goes with two horses followed by 3-4 direwolves and a low level doedic with mostly melee points that I adopted when the parents mysteriously disappeared. I have thousands of sand from farming from only like an hour or so.
Thank you. That sounds like an awesome resource caravan party! I am a little curious though… parents mysteriously disappearing… questionable… 😂😂😂 unless you are near 50, 50.
@@ChaosBearGaming hehe. I saw a low level mutated doedic baby that was mutated and looked like a tiny blueberry so I tamed it after my wolf had a meeting with the parents. I needed one asap so didn't bother trying to find a good level one.

I think mine was only staying there because as it drank water it then distributed water to the nearby crop plots. It drinks 50 water and distributes 50 water a time. It very well could be a glitch that it stays stuck at 750, but in my video that’s why it never went above 750 is because it was watering the plots as it drank.
I leveled water stat up to 2000 an it never goes over 750 water no matter what the most useless stat in entire game all it does it take skill point an give you a visual appearance that you can hold 1k or 2k water but really it'll hold 750 even if you dump 50 levels into water or 0 levels into water beyond useless thought it would be fun to try an breed them to get water stat muts but wouldn't even bother after the 16 morrelatops we tamed not single one got any benefit from leveling the water skill could not think of a more pointless stat might as well give argys oxygen stat bout as useful as water stat
I have always imagined 1 unit of weight to be equivalent to 100 grams, which is approximately a quarter of a pound. My reasoning behind this is that a beer weighs 6 units, or 600 grams, which matches up nicely with a 'pint' of liquid being 568 grams.
You know, I am a sucker for math, so I appreciate you sharing this. That is good to know and the best part is that beer was the logic for the statement being made 😂
Yeah the tent is amazing. I wish we could build different variations that were permanent at our base. And the mobile ones kept the durability. Or a way to repair a type of tent just because they look cool. 😂
Same! We did decide to add a tent mod to make it a bit bigger. Def also kinda wish they weren't 24lbs. But they're a literal life saver. @@ChaosBearGaming
Yeah it was an interesting choice to give weight reduction to a creature that can’t even harvest that material. It’s a little odd. But I guess we have Argys who get massive weight reduction on many things. So maybe because Argys and equus are travel mounts they get the weight reduction. I think the golems should get the reduction for sure as they are literally made of stone and were released on this map.
Pointless? Not quite, since doeds are the best stone farmer. When you have too much stone for your argy to carry your doed, simply drop all sand in the doeds inventory after filtering "a" to drop all the sand. Furthermore, if you farm metal nodes with the doed, you don't get sand and you get more stone.
@@ThahnG413 yeah being able to carry creatures that have a weight reduction while also having the argy have a weight reduction really helps with transporting stuff for sure. That’s like having a a double bonus.

I am just getting started on my playthrough so I have to experiment too much in regard to comparing it to ASE. However ghillie will give better protection from heat than desert gear. But tents should be able to deal with the heat. I will have to get back to you as to why that would be happening or if I experience the same thing.
