Some things to note with reapers Tamed ones get an armor nerf. Wild reapers reduce 95% damage, tamed ones reduce 80%. This means if you are fighting a wild reaper with a tamed one, its actually a good idea to have charge on, rather than off. If possible, its best to lure a wild one into a charge station while standing outside the light range with your tamed one, so you have armor and the wild reaper doesnt Wild reaper kings also have much higher base damage than queens, alphas, or tamed kings, tho tame kings get the 75 bonus levels, imprint, and damage level ups to make up for it. Surface reaper kings arent far behind a wild giga in terms of damage The tailwhip on all reaper variants also ignores saddle armor
the only thing i would add was be cautious of areas that have glowing gold dust particles in the air, those are spore fields an environmental obstacle and don't have to be triggered like the mushrooms. Great Guide!
Another tip for the Reaper if you find it hard to feed as a baby put a lot of meat in your inventory and let the baby kill you this will cause the meat to transfer to its inventory as the Reaper can be a pain to feed as a baby
Oh that’s an amazing tip, I did not know that. Can it just be regular meat since you would have already acquired the levels from defeating enemies? And the food is not meant for effectiveness, but more to just keep the baby from starving? Also, Thank you for sharing 😀

The only thing I’d say you missed was the fact that after you tame ravagers unfortunately bleed is no longer applied for them it’s only wild ravagers. Hopefully that changes in Asa. But dude you did a good job I learned some stuff and I’m very experienced overall keep it up 👍🏽
For anyone wanting a condensed version of this, all you need is 1. Always harvest the brown mushrooms and eat the aquatic or brown mushrooms whenever you run into posionous mushrooms, they lower the timer of how long your affected which is life saving. 2. Metal is primarily in blue zone 3. Lampreys give protection from radiation but if you run into red spore clouds,it will kill the lamprey. 4. Regular pearls are located at fertile lake 5. For narcotics,the midnight mushrooms can be a replacememt for narco berries. 6. If your reaper hunting,make a trap so you can get more then one baby. DO NOT go into red zone while preggers,it will kill the baby 7. You can now transfer off Aberration from charge terminals now(thank god) 8. Aberration is a NO FLYER map. 9. Shoulder pets are not damaged by spore clouds,yes you can test it. 10. Never go into blue zone without a light pet. Also,each light has a different hidden ability. I think the lizard has increased range,the goat has increased charge, the pup has faster regen, and i forgor the birdie 11. Always check what day and night cycle your on before venturing to the surface, it goes by 90% day 10% night for three days, 50% day 50% night for three days and 10% day 90% night for three days. This is useful if you want easy early access to oil nodes near the entrances so you dont have to walk too far out. 12. Lastly,if your fighting the boss,on old gen you could cheese it by bring cactus broth,idk if it still works on the new gen so you may want to test it on a single player world. It basically allows you to fight the boss with shottys without getting attacked back by the boss making it super easy.
I only play single player but I can imagine the trolling that’s possible with them 😂 or even better the flash bang grenades from the plant species z fruit 😂
my only advice i would add is that you need red gems for a gas collector so you can get gas balls for radiation suits but red gems are found in radiation biome so the best method but slow if you dont want to risk it with a lamprey is to sit next to a rollrat and it will eventualy spawn up red gems besides that great job loved the vid bro

Keen eye. I was just as puzzled as you are when it happened, but I thought it was cool and hilarious so I wanted to Include it 😀 When I watched it back, it seems to have something to do with the aberrant raptor pounce attack. You will notice the first roll coincides with the first raptor jump and the 2nd roll with the 2nd raptor on the left as they perform their jump. Rolling would be an interesting feature in ark. It would be kind of cool, not sure how much use you would get out of it in PVE though, and not sure how it would affect PvP 😂
They added it a few weeks after the raptor tlc on ASE and supposedly worked on both aberrant and non aberrant raptors, I only managed to do it a few times though and isn’t as reliable as a simple bola

Well lucky for you, I know how to survive on aberration. I played the game before and I can beat it again and hopefully I can beat it. I've recently beaten the island map. I'm still beating scorch Earth, though. It will take me a while but I will be that an aberration. I actually do know the layouts. And stuff planning to build bases. And stuff. I have my strategies, but they may change emregardless. I am ready to survive in Abersion
Nice, hopefully it has that sense of familiarity yet the feeling of being new with the remaster. Scorched can certainly be a challenge early. Hopefully our wait for Ab is short, it supposed to be sometime this afternoon/evening PST 😀
Yeah it’s crazy lol 😂 if you can get them in a trap, you can typically use the same queen for a whole tribe. Just make sure you put foundations at the bottom so they can’t dig down. They will stay in there until you leave render distance.
I just re listened to that, sorry that was rough to hear. I spoke a little too fast there. I said “surface charge stations charge the charge batteries twice as fast”.
I actually re listened/watched the full video last night with my kids since I was excited it was doing well and I did notice the same thing. I had made some last minute adjustments to the volume of the music before I published it because there was multiple segments where the music was so faint you couldn’t hear it. After upping the volume a bit I skimmed the video and I thought it sounded good, but after watching the full thing last night i definitely noticed multiple moments where it was a bit too loud. I will definitely be more thorough next time. I appreciate your feedback, thank you taking the time to provide it 😀
I am not. This was all recorded on the PlayStation 5. No filters were applied, just a lot of slow motion movement with the analog stick to capture details and color. Tried “filming it” in a scenic way. Usually that would mean multiple takes for 5-15 seconds of clips that I liked.

I’ve noticed that a lot of content gets rushed out on release day, and often, it's more about quantity than quality. We all know that the first content to be released tends to get the most views, even if it’s not the best. I’ve been guilty of doing that a few times myself, just to get my name out there. However, on release day, I’m working a full 10-hour shift at my day job, so I decided to take my time with this project and release it a few days prior to the release. Even though it’s an older map, the creatures, biome-specific resources, and mechanics will remain the same. The major differences will be the new creatures, landscape, and GPS coordinates. I do plan on releasing another tips video once the update is live, but I wanted to ensure that I provided something of decent quality before the release. I know many people are either unfamiliar with the map in general or find the sheer amount of differences and extra content in Aberration compared to other maps intimidating. I appreciate your honesty and your feedback is appreciated.
I made this as a refresher for Aberration prior to it releasing for ASA. I have since done a resource guide that covers metal and all other essential rare resources for ASA with the new map 😀

I know I definitely screwed up ravager. I actually had not the slightest clue that I was saying it wrong until I was in post production. Then when I spelled it out as the correction you see later on in the video, it clicked. I looked it up and felt real dumb because I said it many times thoughout the video…. 😂 I appreciate the feedback. I didn’t think I said anything else wrong, but if I did then please let me know so I can correct it going forward. I know I referred to the hazard suit as the radiation suit in the beginning of the video a few times. Then said hazard suit in the second half so it was more clear what the actual name was.

However with this, I thought It was ravanger for years… so I didn’t bother looking it up. Apparently though ravager is accurate…definitely had one of those light bulb moments 😂
They are. For aberrant variants that are immune: araneo, arthro, bary, carno, dimorphodon, megalosaurus, meganeura, paracers, pulmonoscorpius, purlovia, spino, titanboa. Then there are a few aberration specific creatures that are immune as well. Light pets for example. I updated the description with the link to the wiki. The otter could still be well utilized by being taken to the surface, as it gets to freezing temperatures at night. It can also be brought to the green and blue zone caves as well.
Me either, the anticipation build up from everyone 😂 let’s go! It’s funny how excited we all are to be the first ones to potentially die on a new map 😂
You cannot. You actually can’t even transfer fliers to the map. At least you were not able to before. The rock drake is the best for the surface drops as they can glide and climb. However with ASA getting the yi ling I am sure they would be a great usable tame for the surface as they can glide too. Also the cosmo that comes with the bobs tall tales dlc can swing with webs so they may make traversing the surface a little easier as well. Also there is a giant blimp that comes with the bobs tall tales dlc. I suspect it would allow you to float around the surface and just descend to the ground wherever you see a loot drop. Making it a bit easier to get the drops. However I can’t say for sure though, as we haven’t really gotten any concrete info on it yet.
I take a long time to write out my script lol. I write out a rough draft of everything that I want to say. The more info I have to start with the better. Then I decide to categorize it. So I will open a second word document and then put intro, section 1, section 2, etc. I then look to add extra details if I feel I need to elaborate further. I may spend time researching online or testing things in game. Then I review the script and see if there are better ways of saying what I wrote. I may look up different words to replace more basic ones or look up different phrases that mean something similar but sound more professional. Then the final part I’ve done in the last few videos is try to make it less of a bulleted list and more of a story. So it adds a different layer to the video that is not really used by anyone else at this time. Then I go to to the game and record 15-60 second clips of each take needed for each sentence or topic. So the scene is constantly changing to what I am discussing and hopefully maintains viewers interest.
Yes they are breedable now. As are rock drakes and basilisk’s. I don’t remember if drakes could before, but all 3 of them can breed for sure now in ASA 😀

The available creatures, biome resource locations, and general mechanics should still be consistent with the original version (ASE). That’s why, at the end of the video, I mentioned that I didn't provide specific GPS coordinates, as each map's coordinates have been slightly modified in the remaster, but the overall mechanics should still largely apply.
You are correct there are 4. Not sure how far you are into the video, but at 23:35 I specifically talk about the surface separately. I included chapters to make navigating the video easier as well.
Tests? Are you referring to the organic polymer test I mentioned ? I more meant that I’ve tested the best ways to farm organic polymer from creatures, this was done on the center. I have not done a test for farming the plants. I still don’t have that info yet. I’ve heard bears are the best for those plants, but I cant definitively say for sure yet.
@@nnktv28That makes sense. Yeah I was referring to just the testing I did with different creatures and tools to harvest organic polymer from creatures on a previous map. And the moschops had came out on top during the testing that I did.
It’s definitely the bridge between where it went from survival to more sci fi. As each zone gradually makes living more difficult and the surface is unlivable. To be fair in real life we have bunkers around the world where people set up to live in the event a huge world disaster takes place. This is more of an underground ecosystem that survived a huge disaster and mutated and evolved over time to adapt to the world’s conditions.

Well lucky for you, I know how to survive on aberration. I played the game before and I can beat it again and hopefully I can beat it. I've recently beaten the island map. I'm still beating scorch Earth, though. It will take me a while but I will be that an aberration. I actually do know the layouts. And stuff planning to build bases. And stuff. I have my strategies, but they may change emregardless. I am ready to survive in Abersion

Yeah it’s crazy lol 😂 if you can get them in a trap, you can typically use the same queen for a whole tribe. Just make sure you put foundations at the bottom so they can’t dig down. They will stay in there until you leave render distance.

I actually re listened/watched the full video last night with my kids since I was excited it was doing well and I did notice the same thing.
I had made some last minute adjustments to the volume of the music before I published it because there was multiple segments where the music was so faint you couldn’t hear it. After upping the volume a bit I skimmed the video and I thought it sounded good, but after watching the full thing last night i definitely noticed multiple moments where it was a bit too loud.

Are you using Reshade or Nvidia Overlay? The colour really pops on this video
I am not. This was all recorded on the PlayStation 5. No filters were applied, just a lot of slow motion movement with the analog stick to capture details and color. Tried “filming it” in a scenic way. Usually that would mean multiple takes for 5-15 seconds of clips that I liked.

I’ve noticed that a lot of content gets rushed out on release day, and often, it's more about quantity than quality. We all know that the first content to be released tends to get the most views, even if it’s not the best.
I’ve been guilty of doing that a few times myself, just to get my name out there. However, on release day, I’m working a full 10-hour shift at my day job, so I decided to take my time with this project and release it a few days prior to the release.
Even though it’s an older map, the creatures, biome-specific resources, and mechanics will remain the same. The major differences will be the new creatures, landscape, and GPS coordinates.
I do plan on releasing another tips video once the update is live, but I wanted to ensure that I provided something of decent quality before the release. I know many people are either unfamiliar with the map in general or find the sheer amount of differences and extra content in Aberration compared to other maps intimidating. I appreciate your honesty and your feedback is appreciated.
I believe that Iguanodons are very useful for gathering mushrooms. I think they also gather the toxins from mushrooms as well am I wrong?

I know I definitely screwed up ravager. I actually had not the slightest clue that I was saying it wrong until I was in post production. Then when I spelled it out as the correction you see later on in the video, it clicked. I looked it up and felt real dumb because I said it many times thoughout the video…. 😂
I appreciate the feedback. I didn’t think I said anything else wrong, but if I did then please let me know so I can correct it going forward. I know I referred to the hazard suit as the radiation suit in the beginning of the video a few times. Then said hazard suit in the second half so it was more clear what the actual name was.

Aren't Aberrant Otters suseptible to radiation?
They are. For aberrant variants that are immune: araneo, arthro, bary, carno, dimorphodon, megalosaurus, meganeura, paracers, pulmonoscorpius, purlovia, spino, titanboa. Then there are a few aberration specific creatures that are immune as well. Light pets for example.
I updated the description with the link to the wiki. The otter could still be well utilized by being taken to the surface, as it gets to freezing temperatures at night. It can also be brought to the green and blue zone caves as well.

Can you use flighers in the top region to farm the drops?
You cannot. You actually can’t even transfer fliers to the map. At least you were not able to before. The rock drake is the best for the surface drops as they can glide and climb. However with ASA getting the yi ling I am sure they would be a great usable tame for the surface as they can glide too.
Also the cosmo that comes with the bobs tall tales dlc can swing with webs so they may make traversing the surface a little easier as well. Also there is a giant blimp that comes with the bobs tall tales dlc. I suspect it would allow you to float around the surface and just descend to the ground wherever you see a loot drop. Making it a bit easier to get the drops. However I can’t say for sure though, as we haven’t really gotten any concrete info on it yet.

How do you have such a huge vocabulary
I take a long time to write out my script lol. I write out a rough draft of everything that I want to say. The more info I have to start with the better. Then I decide to categorize it. So I will open a second word document and then put intro, section 1, section 2, etc. I then look to add extra details if I feel I need to elaborate further. I may spend time researching online or testing things in game. Then I review the script and see if there are better ways of saying what I wrote. I may look up different words to replace more basic ones or look up different phrases that mean something similar but sound more professional. Then the final part I’ve done in the last few videos is try to make it less of a bulleted list and more of a story. So it adds a different layer to the video that is not really used by anyone else at this time. Then I go to to the game and record 15-60 second clips of each take needed for each sentence or topic. So the scene is constantly changing to what I am discussing and hopefully maintains viewers interest.

Yes they are breedable now. As are rock drakes and basilisk’s. I don’t remember if drakes could before, but all 3 of them can breed for sure now in ASA 😀

These remasters primarily focused on enhancing the experience through better graphics, introducing baby dinosaurs, making minor setting adjustments, and modifying the landscape. The available creatures, biome resource locations, and general mechanics should still be consistent with the original version (ASE).
That’s why, at the end of the video, I mentioned that I didn't provide specific GPS coordinates, as each map's coordinates have been slightly modified in the remaster, but the overall mechanics should still largely apply.

Tests? Are you referring to the organic polymer test I mentioned ? I more meant that I’ve tested the best ways to farm organic polymer from creatures, this was done on the center. I have not done a test for farming the plants. I still don’t have that info yet. I’ve heard bears are the best for those plants, but I cant definitively say for sure yet.

It’s definitely the bridge between where it went from survival to more sci fi. As each zone gradually makes living more difficult and the surface is unlivable. To be fair in real life we have bunkers around the world where people set up to live in the event a huge world disaster takes place. This is more of an underground ecosystem that survived a huge disaster and mutated and evolved over time to adapt to the world’s conditions.
