That’s definitely fair. The pyromane wasn’t out when I made this video, but not something I would have thought of even today. That’s a great call out. Thanks for sharing that info 😀
Thank you very much, I really appreciate it. Comments on a smaller channel are few, and far between so I really appreciate you taking the time to say that.
It was my understanding that otters were used for hypothermic protection (the cold) and not hyperthermia. Do they benefit both? I should have tested that out on the island. I am doing some reading and online it is saying that dire bears offer protection from both cold and heat as well when riding and dimetrodons also benefit both when nearby ( I know they can help incubate eggs). Unfortunately there is not a perfect place that lists all the info. Got to get info from all the great experience out there.
I've gotten 100s of drops of all colors on SE. I've only gotten one pair of low lvl purple dessert gloves. Then just a few primitive pieces. Sucks. I've spent days only running drops for hours, and no luck yet. Going start going after cave drops next. Edit: I play on an unofficial PVE server, so this could be a large factor in this.
I would suggest making a custom beverage at a cooking pot. The industrial cooker seems to not always work. Make the recipe with the basic note. There is two tabs on the bottom of the cooking pot. Click on the one that says auto craft and it will bring you to a Custom recipe page. Use 5 citronal (you can use other crops too) and see how much water it gives you with the basic crafting skill. Up the yield till you get roughly 100 water. They are super light and won’t leak. I think I will make a guide on this in the next few days. Thanks for bringing this up.

I want to add a Pyromane as a Shoulderpet. No problems with cold or heat anymore. I do have a fortitude of 70 though.

3:40 u heard this would work but wasnt sure where i heard it. You confirmed it for me. Thanks. Now i gotta 2ply my walls.
Yeah of course. I know it was common theme in ASE, but haven’t seen it talked about as much in ASA even though it’s still possible.
thank you for being so thorough. This video is well made! Keep it up. Subscribed.

I didn’t know about the iced water, thank you.
Yeah of course. All the tasty stuff 😀
Thank you so much for this tip! As a new Ark player, this is greatly appreciated. 👍
I am glad I could help.
Good concise video.
Thank you very much, I appreciate it.
I had no idea you could get that much heat protection. Also I liked that dancing dinosaur 😂
Yes it’s crazy! I am trying to incorporate fun stuff while being educational. I just don’t know when I over do it.. 😂
Crouching and stay on the ground also helps with the temperature and to reduce the water amount that the stamina drains to recovers itself
I knew crouching helped with stam, I didn’t know it helped with temperature and water. Thanks for sharing
Most of my bases are three levels, and all ACs are on the second, so you're good no matter where you are.
That makes perfect sense due to them emitting air in a radius. I may have to build a similar set up. Thanks for sharing.
The humble otter

@@ChaosBearGaming yeah, they work well. free 200-300 heat resistance
That’s good to know. Thanks for the tip.
Only thing I didn't know about was the cold water curing heat stroke I don't have to Kermit dewicide anymore XD
Well I am glad I could help with that. Yeah heat stroke can be tough. When I first got it I didn’t know what was wrong and thought it was my eyes 😂
Hit up blue drops for ascended desert armor.... Heat problems gone
Is it specifically just blue drops? Or all tiers blue and above?

@@jellis I wish you luck, sometimes you find that high level tame or the perfect shotgun on the first try, other times in takes forever 😂
Best drops are the treasure maps. Second best is the cave drops
@@joshpalmer7118 I finally bought the DLC pack a day ago. Will be trying to get those next to increase my chances.
The water jars and canteens leak. Solutions?
