Great bike but earlier models didn’t have cruise control who does that on a sport touring bike, nice to see it standard on the 2025 . I wonder if it will work on earlier versions
@ no thanks I had one lasted about a week and locked my throttle, good thing I was on the highway and nobody around . It wasn’t the Atlas one but a cheap one from eBay . I’m looking for one from Triumph so when it’s installed it won’t cancel out my warranty. That’s great that it worked for you.

Keep what you have..... Don't 'fall out of love' with the one you now have..... and why it had you fall in love with it in the first place. There is always "the dangling carrot." Dont spoil the mood you got, when you first got the one you have now! A slight style change = such as the LOGO on the tank, the colors and then the 660 banner, its the same bike.... I like the 22, 23, styles. I have Red. The 800 IS different..... weighs more, and is configured and WILL handle Different than how the first 660 Was created at customer requests. Triumph did a great job when the 660 first came out. Dont ruin that experience!
[you] Don't NEED a center stand for basic use. That's why there are the bobbins and the wheel lift, for use in the garage. A center stand adds weight and looks terrible hanging from under the bike. The 800 is gunna be heavier.
@@simonclare-fu7sx doesnt need one for this segment the 800 need a rs version though or just like speed triple may be the tiger sport 1200 will come only in rs variant
@@anneakhil1998 I know what you mean, but the 660's weak spot was the suspension, it just couldn't handle enough when conditions deteriorate, a 1200 would be lovely but expensive,at the very least better suspension should be an option on all of them
@@simonclare-fu7sx you see quality of products and run in costs are in favour of consumers so manufacturers need to cash amap before selling so cutting costs in every aspect matter i love triumph for this unlike ktm they did not put too much into r and s and facing troubles triumph is disciplined ,snooth and spot on the price so they will only adjust suspension based on feedback
@@anneakhil1998 there is no doubt these will sell obviously, there is a very good chance I will go for the 800 myself for all its possible advantages, after many years of riding one thing has been consistent for me on all styles of bike, the better the suspension the better the experience, the bike works better, chassis and suspension are king and that handles a wider range of environments, seems a shame to not offer that as an option at least, I've never experienced a time when it didn't improve the bike
now it has cruise control, 6 axis imu, additional sport mode, connectivity module and quickshifter as standard! basically a crazy electrical overhowl. well done Triumph!

Me too! The addition of a quick-shifter and cruise control make it a no-brainer if you’re looking for a bike in this class. I’m picking one up next year after the winter is over.
Don't chop ALL rears of ALL bikes. It makes no sense, it is not practical at all, even dangerous, and at the end, loses and design meaning because all bikes are like this. Boycott.

Not true. The 660 is restricted to learner power (in some countries, like Australia), which sets it aside from the 800.

the 'Atlas' model [type] throttle "hold" (I have it) for 22 dollars is all ya [need]... With the TC on, you have CC.

For the price point [and] for the middle weight, the options and stock features are pretty good. Triumph did a nice job on this new series.

@@simonclare-fu7sx Nothing wrong with the suspension. Its a middle weight street bike. I would not want "the feel" of 'No feel'.

Not cornering ABS for sure, that requires a hardware IMU.
