- Here I’m providing a prerelease video discussion some of the new features that are due to be available on the next Internation R7 firmware update.
Two main improvements over International v137 are: i) better K block options and selectivity; ii) Auto gps lock outs (actively coupled to K blocks and K Limits).

I'm really enjoying testing out F138 in Canada! Many unique features that solve a few things Uniden has missed out on. Performance has been better than USA F137 so far. Well done Mike.

Hi Mike ,after googling I have decided to go with a R7 , if I get this from Amazon US (to save money)will this work in NZ straight out the box or do I need to update the firmware to international? cheers

Can I install with Windows 10, last international firmware on Uniden R7 purchased from the USA ? How can I convert from US to an international version (Europe) ?

I upgraded my two R7 units to 1.37 and both now have "GPS error" on both. I hope this is corrected in this quick follow up with v138
GPS error seems to happen on some cars during gps startup initialisation when battery voltage drops below minimum threshold. Partly a hardware issue, not so easy to fix as such. For those instances, better to turn the R7 on after starting the vehicle. Shouldn't get any GPS issues during use if started in the correct sequence. Also check your car battery is fully charged, as that can also help.
The R7 cannot be updated on Mac computers... Uniden is behind times!
R7 International v137 and v138 are compatible with Uniden upload tools for Mac v1.2 and v1.4. I am a Mac user so I should know!
R7 got some extra goodies again and with R3 and R1 still have a problem to add anything.
Hi mike i m willing to buy Dfr9 if u got any available. Or if i buy frm amazon thn would you be able to convert to nz firmware?
I have one second hand DFR9forNZ that was returned recently after the buyer upgraded to one of my R7 Internationals. This is in perfect working order and has been well cared for and still with original packaging etc. I don't have a magnetic mount for it, but I can get some more. Please let me know if you're interested
