Please make a digital OCG version. 🙏 Something like Master Duel and Pokémon TCG Pocket would be awesome. It'd make the game more accessible to everyone.

This game seeming to be built with multiplayer formats in mind makes me think Bandai has noticed the success of Commander in Magic the Gathering and thinks there's money to be made in these even more social play formats. I'd imagine there would be ways to homebrew a full-on Commander variation of this game in some form or fashion if you really wanted to.
To bad Commander is dead now thanks to recent backlash...
@ZombieSlayerTakashi Nah, people will still be playing it and not even care about the rule change in reality. It's such a casual play focused format that like 75% of players won't even know about the changes or abide by them even if they do.
@@ZombieSlayerTakashi in my 6years in the format at 3 different local stores. ive played with a grand total of 4 people that have and used cards like mana crypt. the fact is normal players just dont make 3000$USD lists with the best cards imaginable, most lists are jank 200$ decks and fantastic games

Zeon sleeves would be nice, tbh. Something simple, a zaku green colored sleeve with a gold zeon emblem on the back.
This actually looks really good to me. As a tcg/ccg veteran of almost 30 years I've played pokemon and yugioh in the past for several years, I dabbled in several smaller games like a naruto game a maplestory game and a couple others, and I've been playing magic for 20 years. I see a lot of elements of this game that are comparable to systems from other games and it looks like it all comes together really well. I'm definitely going to give this game a shot once it's available.
It definitely feels like they're taking some of the formula they've had with some decent success from games like One Piece and Dragon Ball Super, and mixing it with more Magic the Gathering tidbits. I think there's a lot of potential here, but it'll be up to how they handle supply and balancing for if it'll work out in the end.

What is the point of a month-long preorder if you can't purchase them?
this is so interesting, it's like one piece, magic the gathering, and union arena all combined into this one card archetype. what's really interesting is that even though the way they explained the game, and its rules may look like it's simple, and easy to play. there's a lot more to it than what they are telling us.
like for example we have to learn how to utilize, and manage our resources, how to protect our own base while trying to hit the other side's base, which color combination works best, and how to gain an early lead by striking at the first turn.
Just saw this announcement and checked the site only to see that it's already sold out. Awesome...
PLEASE give support to grunt suit units. I want to build decks and play as Leos or Aries and many other Wing grunt suits. Flags from 00, etc. Side stories should get love as well, like Stargazer or the 08 series. Focusing only on main character suits will make gameplay boring and repetitive. The meta can be more diverse with so many different suits and playstyles you can create. I want a team of grunt suits working together like Doms, or Leos boosting each other's strength. Make army units matter.
I'm hoping you guys are planning to update those P-Bandai allocations massively, bad enough it's being pushed through that service without selling through within hours.
I'm a One Piece player since the the first set myself, and to me, this looks really cool.
The Mechanics seem a bit more complex but at the same time it gives me the anxiety to try out new combinations and possibilities, having a Base card that can change the turn of battle seems quite cool, running out of shields? Place a new base, trigger some effects and put down some mechs and keep going. The Link ability seems a bit restricted until we see mechs that can be linked with multiple pilots (Imagine a Banshee Norn, could be linked by either Marida or Riddhe). It's a nice bonus for whenever you have the right cards at hand.
It seems quite interactive, and the multiplayer formats seem quite cool and less complex than lets say Commander and it's 100-card decks lol.
The fact that it will launch globally means that there will not be any speculation for prices and over-priced cards because they did good in japan, which is always a good thing for people wanting to play... will screw up scalpers trying to make a quick buck as well. In the end building a deck is gonna be a trial and error process, which is always good.
Absolutely cannot wait to play this!

Definitely need to restock, didn't even see this release until now and it's sold out? I know it's a beta release but what killed Digimon for me was the scalpers in the early sets, so this isn't looking fun anymore if it's going to be the same.

@@cybobb one thing the Gundam TCGs have never cheaped on is the card art. Go look up some of the variant artwork for the Cross War TCG, they pulled their boxart team from the model kit division to do most of them.
@@YzaliaJoule The art on Criss War was sooooo good. I still have a bunch of those cards just for collecting purposes because they look great.
@@JackgarPrime I still have my entire Cross War collection, which is all complete main and SP sets, just missed out on some of the alt art cards and the JP-only final set that I couldn't find any resellers carrying. I can't bring myself to get rid of them with how great the art is.

I honestly like how 2nd player gets something because their are going 2nd (ex resource). Most card games going first is so strong.
It's like The Coin from Hearthstone, or Energize from Force of Will. A mechanic I think should be more common
I mean many games give something for going second (bonus resource, card draw, scry, fewer limits, some combination, etc). This looks like straight up the one from hearthstone

The logo is cool. The card visual design is clean, but basically the same as any other Japanese TCG. The mechanics are derivative but functional. It seems you're betting on the IP to do most of the heavy lifting.
The only way I see this game lasting more than a couple years is if there are lots of fun, innovative card designs aimed at multiplayer, and open-ended synergy to encourage creative deck building. That, plus the corporate/ logistic management going smoothly. Including a couple other IPs wouldn't hurt either.
I finally finished Gundam Seed after all these years. Now starting Destiny and of course Freedom. Now a Gundam TCG!? This is awesome!

There's an announced distributor for brazil already, and the game will be supported in Latam in general.
How well supported/short lived will it be? and will it suffer from the previous instances of power creep that made 'still viable' earlier released cards completely non-viable?
Every card game suffers from power creep, even One Piece isn't safe anymore, try playing any card from the decks from the first 3 expansions and you will find out quickly that there are so much better leaders to play nowdays.
This is so strange and un-gundam in a lot of its mechanics, I will keep an eye on it though and hope it is better than it looks.
Bases, Ships, Actions, Mechs and Pilots, shields, I think it really reflects a gundam battlefield to be honest.
@@Elratauru Shields that arent held by mobile suits. All mobile suits working like Bit Ms/drone suits. Pilots that dont interact with the battlefield outside the mech are the only humans seemingly present. Ships that dont launch mobile suits but insteam protect them. Those things together distance it from gundam.
That doesnt mean it will be bad or even that that distance is insurmountable though! I will give the game a go like I said. But any work that is to have value deserves critique.
But those are not really gundam like features.

Not really, maybe at first but once you get a few pilots for some mechs, and some mechs may even support multiple pilots (Banshee I'm looking at you).
I think this is mostly hype and only for fans of the IP. The cards look great but the game mechanics are nothing refreshing. Sorry but I bet it won’t last long in the TCG market on a global scale.

Ok I am new to current card games but an absolute Gundam Fan.
Why are they doing this bs with premium Bandai and USA only?
I am from Germany, so couldn`t order this beta TCG even if it was still available.. sorry but not having a TCG product available anymore on announcement day is crap.
Don`t like this type of handling things at all.
As I already saw before, Bandai is a master in printing card games with low quantity to make it "rarer".
In the end its just printed paper.
Here I wanted to start again with a new TCG after decades.
The Beta version will get to local tcg stores at some point, just ask around in your area stores for it and they will probably get it. The P-Bandai order was just for the US.

Unfortunately, Digi is a zombie at the moment, they already knew they couldn't get more players for a while... and most people switched to One Piece since it's the new thing.
Listen I would love to have a digital version of these tcg games first since that way they can test the waters if it is good or not. And there are times where someone is interested but no one in the neighborhood plays or even at the card store and if it is digital you can play online. Like for me I play would love to play Battle Spirit Saga but no one here on Guam plays it or is even interested. And is the reason I plan to play Vanguard Dear Days 2 since they got the new cards and online play.

Every Bandai TCG uses the same mechanics or a mix between then... Security, Life, Shields, and so on.

Except that they don't need to pay a licence for this... It's most likely that DB and Digi will fade out over time and OP and this will become their defacto's card games.
