- Just killed the Mojave Grom and today: Lasernut 93 … both within 2 weeks. What a series! The motor still spins but cannot transmit to the central drive shaft; steering servo also seems to be a little weak which is very strange.

An easy fix away to working did the gears get shredded
@@Johnny6ex Looks like it's the central differential, although I ugraded shims. 😞
@NUeB_RCFPV i dont like that centre and back difs in my opinion i like to drift so i lock them handles much smother i guess
damnnnnnn, but alright, this weekend, I landed my drone straight into a lake after it frog hopped on the concrete. So looks like we've got work to do the next weeks to repair shit haha
Wow, camera is 100% stable. Epic!
Dang that's bad luck. IDK how that stick got lodged in there at the end like that. This is all good experimenting though. Brushless and waterproof electronics solves the issue the Grom had. Here maybe some kind of front grille attachment can keep sticks out of the steering.
It just ended there because motor could not transmit any more power to the wheels… gotta look at the differential.
@@NUeB_RCFPV ohh the diffs burned out just from wear and not the stick. Are they metal?
@@Magneticitist Yes, all metal. And I also upgraded shims for a better fit.
@@NUeB_RCFPV IDK man you must just be driving them hard and I guess anything is going to give eventually. I guess that's part of why I drive my stuff like a grandma, I want the parts to last even though they are all basically designed to be ran hard and be replaced after failure.
@@Magneticitist I also expected it to last longer… 00:42 to 01:10 for example I go full throttle and that's not the only time in this clip. I was more like expecting a roll than gears break. 🤷 Gonna look if there are better gears from s'one like Vitavon.
How does the image look so stable without a gimbal? is the arduino arm that you mentioned in the description helping?
No, arduino arm is for better VTX range. Stabilization is from to O3 camera. Sadly only the recorded image is stabilized, not the transmitted one.
@@NUeB_RCFPV ahhh that makes sense.. so if the transmitted one is not stabilized I would assume it's quite jarring. A gimbal would surely help no ?
@@twistedyogi Gimbals are still way to huge for a 1/10 scale car - at least when you want it to look as scale as possible *AND* have some protection around the camera. I've mounted the camera like additional headlights on the car's roof with a cage around it.
