I finally found my people. I’ve been watching various reactions to the direct and most of them guessed Fire Emblem and then were just “oh dragon quest ok” upon the realization. This is the first reaction where I saw someone just lose it the same way I did and instantly recognizing Ramia.
I first guessed Fire Emblem, the art did look FE-like. But I was just as excited it was DQ3.
The west is not hot on Dragon Quest for some reason. I always look forward to the franchises releases but I think a lot of people don’t care about them.
@JKSmith-qs2ii I know. Dragon Quest is one of the finest and most important series for not just the franchise, but RPG'S in general. Without it, RPG'S wouldn't be there and the western side don't appreciated it. I guess because it was do big in Japan that they didn't have enough games to put outside from Japan and west were more interested in Final Fantasy and such.
i lost it the same way like you did! it was so long since they last show anything from this! and then seeing DQ1 and DQ2 getting the same treatment! CANT WAIT!

You know this is a genuine reaction when the reactor actually says something specific only a fan would know before any obvious visuals a casual might recognize or title drop.

Guess DQM3 won't get an expansion after all...
Not every game needs expansions. Especially considering Monsters is a spin off series

Yet Joker 2 and 3 had enhanced versions a year later.
Plus, the game has a lackluster postgame, so an expansion or "Professional" version wouldn't be far off.
@@Nando75549 I hope if they do anything it's a dlc expansion lol I shelled out for the Digital Deluxe Edition of the game
I can't believe it either man. I have been playing the modded SNES version for so long, and now it's here. DQ3 release date literally cured my depression.

I have all 3 games wishlisted on steam looking at the 30 fps cap trailer on the Switch trailer then watching the 60 fps trailer on steam is crazy how much smoother and better it looks.

@@ThatsRoyo This talk of a new class is making me wonder how easy/hard the game will be by changing or not changing classes, i heard it's not really needed to beat the orginal
its still doable with 1 white/black mage + warrior especially if Warrior in this version gets to KEEP its Dragon Quest 6 or 7 skills set in this version its just that all the physical jobs in the previous versions NONE of them have in battle skills just OUT of battle ones for Thief/Merchant + Whistle for instant encounters Gadabout/Jester only at lv 13+.
