You can, there is DQXClarity. Sucks to have to jump through hoops to get a subscription though. It is all jumping through hoops, esp if you aren't in USA. The translation is sorta ok. The stuff that has to be translated on demand is sorta rough around the edges at times.
@@DDRHeretiCI think they’re planning a steam/console release for an offline mode in March of this year? Which would mean we’d eventually get online servers for the west as well, right? Don’t they enable you to transfer your character from story mode into the online mode?

Also the fight with Dragonlord in this stage is based on the Famicom box art of Dragon Quest.

- I love how inconsistent DQXClarity gets here, mixing up English and Japanese names.
- I also love how they even included the Dragonlord's offer to the player here.
- Dragonlord really do be evil tho, constantly double-tapping critically wounded players just before they can be healed.
- What wouldn't I give for a 3D remake of DQ1 in this style...

@@ZefoniusLinestraf Thankfully the requirements for DQX is very low. If anything, the reshade I use, and the Clarity tool will take up about as much processing power as the game itself does. Even a 500 dollar basic retail build with a simple nvidia/amd card can run DQX at 1440p 60fps no issue.

The Wii version was discontinued. It's currently on PS5/PS4, Switch, Wii U and I think the 3DS version is still playable.
