Embrace the freight train of dissonance careening your way, with the most... unserious... rendition of the most emotionally impactful moment in the game. This is a love letter, albeit very absurd and silly, to my favourite game and favourite soundtrack.
australians in my audience, do correct me on my use of australian grammar in the lyrics. honestly, it's like, my fifth language... but yes hollow knight is made in australia so i did have to perform one of the parts in that language as an homage
This one was a really fun challenge! Trying to figure out all of the counterpoint melodies and so forth that are so intricately arranged in this track, plus getting it all to sound decent while still making these things in my video editing software for whatever reason was a challenge that took many hours to overcome. making these is, to say, a real challenge.
It was a journey of learning, messing up a lot in a variety of ways, but eventually, i figured, why not just wrap it up and stop dwelling on it?
I've also been trying to improve the quality of my video edition a little, to make it a bit more... cinematic? good? idk. It's all a part of a creative struggle i've been having recently, where i'm debating how to feel about the "content" i make, as i feel some level of insecurity at not making something a bit more "meaningful" (?). I know entertainment has a value and place too, and this might just be the impostor syndrome talking, but i can't shake the feeling. uh. idk. with so much going on in the world i guess we all feel some level of that. Maybe feeling that insecurity is proof that i'm self aware enough not to be making pure slop at least. eh. Idk.

I didn't think it would be possible to one up the truly magical greenpath vocalized, yet here we are.
blue, you prob wont see this, but you don't need to meet any deadlines, stay with one type of content, or anything. You have made it on youtube and you can do whatever you want and your subscribers will stay with you and support you all the way. Even if it takes years for a project to come out (you still making HK content proves this (silksong is real never take your pills).
This really made me understand what was going through the Hollow Knight's mind as it stabbed itself.

'T had been a long quest. Many dangers and trials had the lonely knight faced. No cost to great. Not the vast quantities of spilled hemolymph and tears, not the emotional devastation that comes with repeatedly losing your entire fortune to some goop-spitting six-winged fiend. By desecrating and ransacking every corpse and grave in a 6 meter radius, challenging and defeating every restless spectre there was left to find, and obsorbing their remaining energy by way of poking their ectoplasmic form with a sharp glowstick of questionable origin, they were now ready for their final challenge. They would have to battle and defeat their possesed sibling who was unscientifically selected by a pale fork as superior and was, regardless, now being ruthlessly puppeteered by a lost kaiju moth who was seething with ire because it's past followers cheated on it with the aforementioned fork. Then, the knight would have to, practically singlehandedly -because their half-sibling was still busy starring in the indefinitely extended shoots of her spinoff/sequel- enter and eviscerate the dreamscape within their posessed sibling, engulfing it with a thick landscape of hyper-distilled black coffee from within their soul that was so strong the abominable moth instantly perished of caffeine overdose.
