I wont lie, the animations seems to be focused on getting the players to understand why the Traveler really wants to meet their twin again. And they don't really care about attracting new players since most of the people who don't play GI really does think nothing of it. The fact that you can recognise and visit all of the places in the animations really makes the animations even better. And to all WuWa fans who wants to yap about their game, I wish your game to be more successful, so that we will have more shits like this (let's ignore the fact that this shit has been planned for months by hoyo).
I think that's their general philosophy on their anime as well. Companies like Yostar put together their anime (Azur Lane, Arknights, Blue Archive) in record time by making a new and untested animation company under them. The new company is tasked with getting the anime out there as fast as humanly possible in order to promote their mobile game, which is where the money is. MHY instead gets one of the most stacked animation studios in the world to pick up their anime, and by the time Ufotable clear their backlog to start work on Genshin and release it in another 2 or 3 years time, Genshin's game story will be at the end of the Teyvat story-line, possibly even concluded. For MHY, Genshin's anime isn't about promoting their game, Instead they just want to have the best anime they possibly can in order to celebrate and commemorate their crowning achievement, and that more people will understand the story even if they don't play the game.

To be honest you don't really need to play genshin to experience the story just watch story videos on it and you're set, basically saves the time of skipping the filler especially if you have no interest in playing it I enjoyed the time I spent with genshin but I wish it was paced better and didn't have several months to give new story sometimes If you only care about the story then well just watch RUclips videos about it it's enjoyable when you can skip the yapping, which you can't do in game Literally turn my brain off when characters keep repeating to me what they just said and spam clicking to skip dialog I don't care about It raises the standards for mobile competition that's for sure, people won't settle for less it's a good thing but man does it get boring I would rather watch an anime of this game than play it, which they never announced further on

Not to mention I also noticed that most people couldn't even comprehend the implicit narratives written inside its stories, which I myself did after some research. Weird, these same people are the ones talking about how badly written it is. Oh well, at least my own experience wasn't hindered by said ignorance and that's enough.
come on I've played the game since 1.0 it really doesn't get anything that dark. It's a childrens game at the end and I think they went a lot harder and better at HSR.

Genshin is a very good game for it to be free. Its the closest I Have experienced to a Sword Art Online vibe. The game doesn't need to be masculine for it to be good.
The open world aspect of the genshin is what keeps me playing the game. The art is beautifully executed into the world, its so fascinating to explore each and every corner of teyvat

Yeah peopel really hyped, and they pretend that it's a masterpiece. But hearing Yangyang's bad voice acting was jarring after playing Genshin. The other thing is Genshin's lore is expertly crafted. It's deep, it's connected, detailed, makes sense, and interesting. An almamagination of several different mythologies, folklore, and old textxs with their own spin on it. Wuwa's storyso far looks hastily thrown together, and it's lore is not as high quality as Genshin's so far.

Nah, I haven't played Genshin but I can feel the emotions of hype and sad conveyed by the cinematography, even if I don't know the specifics. It's just a really good cinematic.

People have short memories. Genshin's launch wasn't good either. Most open world games are train wrecks on launch day. But free 10 pulls and a 5 star of our choice in Wuwa is certainly something Genshin could never. Players have begged for that for 4 years.

For Genshin, throughout the entirety of 1.0, the launch megathread on their main sub didn’t even break 600 comments. For WuWa, their subreddit’s technical megathread literally has over 5000 comments complaining about optimization issues, and it’s barely been two days since launch. Genshin’s launch wasn’t flawless, but compared to WuWa it might as well be. Genshin could never….. release an update so buggy and rushed.

Somehow people started criticizing genshin for how childish it looks. Well, the game appeals to the masses (like every Nintendo game ever and you don't see people complaining) and while you would think that the game doesn't appeal to more "masculine guys", I myself, almost AR 58 genshin player, see it sort of like the anime "Made in Abyss" where the looks and art style are certainly deceiving at first, but if you give it a chance, the story sweeps you and takes you for a ride you will never forget. Genshin has always had a very rich underlying story (and that is what kept me invested all this time) that didn´t get the spotlight because only people invested in the lore get access to, meaning that the first 2 years of genshin, the way the story was told by the game was at times very ineffective which left players confused and not really engaged with the lore, and for me the real beauty of this game is its story, the incredible multi-layered cross-factions, cross time-lines, cross POV story that Hoyo purposely keeps at the backend of most story quests until recently where in Sumeru and fontaine we constantly got huge lore bombs. Its like we are constructing the same puzzle and which every new archon quest we get another piece. If Genshin was an anime it would be popular like AoT and Demon Slayer, the story really is coming to a stage where it will make the whole thing a masterpiece overall. I started genshin when it came out, played most of the story and dropped the game after like 15 gaming sessions and not really liking and understanding the story bc I was mashing the X button and trying to skip everything for the gameplay and rewards. When Inazuma dropped I came back for a bit to try and get Raiden Shogun, failed and only picked it up in 3.1 when I started watching videos on YT about the lore and finally I understood what Hoyo was trying to do and I got very excited and sucked in. If anything, Genshin is worth it just for the story but still is a pretty decent game excluding the gacha garbage stuff like limiting your resin and primos

You could put thousands and thousands of free pulls and five stars into a game, but if it’s not the same wonderful, detailed, beautiful and passion exuding game as your competitor it doesn’t matter.

I do not think GI is a girl/guy game, its very much a design game, if you like the design and art of GI, it still has no competition as Wuwa isnt really competing in the art department, they are competing in the gameplay department..but I am still not sure who plays gacha games for "gameplay". But it does have for sure more girls/ women playing it than other games, coz it is simply more visually pleasing, which is generally more important to women.
Their placement on the revenue chart likely won't even be at the top 1 because Wuthering Waves was released near the end of May while Genshin and Star Rail continue pumping out content.

I think it's actually pretty cool that they remind us of the goal we have had since the start. Find our sibling. Asmon is right by the way, I have simultaneously layef Genshin and HSR, and now I am trying to fit in WuWa. There's no real gaurentee that I can manage all three, but I can sure as shit try. Once work picks up again, I might have to consider dropping WuWa. We'll see.
The goal has shifted from simply finding our sibling. The moment they reunited, the twin told the Traveler that the focus should now be on discovering and experiencing the truth of this world. This journey of exploration and understanding will ultimately help them decide their ultimate purpose once it's over.
In term of male/female playable characters ratio both game are really close, wuwa 6/17 are male while genshin for every 3 males there are 5 females. But it is true wuwa have slightly more "manly" design, they have 1 man with facial hair while genshin has none edit: with the new future characters it's now 6/19 male/female ration for wuwa
They only have 3 models per gender and recycle them. Adult, Child and toddler. They just change the hair and clothes calling it a new character. All the designs look the same for me for most characters.

I wont lie, the animations seems to be focused on getting the players to understand why the Traveler really wants to meet their twin again. And they don't really care about attracting new players since most of the people who don't play GI really does think nothing of it. The fact that you can recognise and visit all of the places in the animations really makes the animations even better. And to all WuWa fans who wants to yap about their game, I wish your game to be more successful, so that we will have more shits like this (let's ignore the fact that this shit has been planned for months by hoyo).
I think that's their general philosophy on their anime as well.
Companies like Yostar put together their anime (Azur Lane, Arknights, Blue Archive) in record time by making a new and untested animation company under them. The new company is tasked with getting the anime out there as fast as humanly possible in order to promote their mobile game, which is where the money is.
MHY instead gets one of the most stacked animation studios in the world to pick up their anime, and by the time Ufotable clear their backlog to start work on Genshin and release it in another 2 or 3 years time, Genshin's game story will be at the end of the Teyvat story-line, possibly even concluded. For MHY, Genshin's anime isn't about promoting their game, Instead they just want to have the best anime they possibly can in order to celebrate and commemorate their crowning achievement, and that more people will understand the story even if they don't play the game.

Wuwa's storyso far looks hastily thrown together, and it's lore is not as high quality as Genshin's so far.

Wuwa does an amazing job with the echos with this, they all look cool and horrific compared to what genshin has

Somehow people started criticizing genshin for how childish it looks. Well, the game appeals to the masses (like every Nintendo game ever and you don't see people complaining) and while you would think that the game doesn't appeal to more "masculine guys", I myself, almost AR 58 genshin player, see it sort of like the anime "Made in Abyss" where the looks and art style are certainly deceiving at first, but if you give it a chance, the story sweeps you and takes you for a ride you will never forget. Genshin has always had a very rich underlying story (and that is what kept me invested all this time) that didn´t get the spotlight because only people invested in the lore get access to, meaning that the first 2 years of genshin, the way the story was told by the game was at times very ineffective which left players confused and not really engaged with the lore, and for me the real beauty of this game is its story, the incredible multi-layered cross-factions, cross time-lines, cross POV story that Hoyo purposely keeps at the backend of most story quests until recently where in Sumeru and fontaine we constantly got huge lore bombs. Its like we are constructing the same puzzle and which every new archon quest we get another piece. If Genshin was an anime it would be popular like AoT and Demon Slayer, the story really is coming to a stage where it will make the whole thing a masterpiece overall.
I started genshin when it came out, played most of the story and dropped the game after like 15 gaming sessions and not really liking and understanding the story bc I was mashing the X button and trying to skip everything for the gameplay and rewards. When Inazuma dropped I came back for a bit to try and get Raiden Shogun, failed and only picked it up in 3.1 when I started watching videos on YT about the lore and finally I understood what Hoyo was trying to do and I got very excited and sucked in.
If anything, Genshin is worth it just for the story but still is a pretty decent game excluding the gacha garbage stuff like limiting your resin and primos

Genshin impact is amazing, wuthering waves doesn’t have anywhere near the same passion and detail this has. You could put thousands and thousands of free pulls and five stars into a game, but if it’s not the same wonderful, detailed, beautiful and passion exuding game as your competitor it doesn’t matter.

@@hly1226 We have yet to see. If I were to guess, these looks like a mode of fast travel. Similar on how Inazuma has Thunder Spheres, Sumeru has Leaf Sigils and Fontaine has Aqua Rings so it's very likely a mount like the Waverider.

I do not think GI is a girl/guy game, its very much a design game, if you like the design and art of GI, it still has no competition as Wuwa isnt really competing in the art department, they are competing in the gameplay department..but I am still not sure who plays gacha games for "gameplay".
But it does have for sure more girls/ women playing it than other games, coz it is simply more visually pleasing, which is generally more important to women.
Some parts of the animation reminds me of mushoku tensei. Especialy scens where there are alot of shadows

In term of male/female playable characters ratio both game are really close, wuwa 6/17 are male while genshin for every 3 males there are 5 females. But it is true wuwa have slightly more "manly" design, they have 1 man with facial hair while genshin has none
edit: with the new future characters it's now 6/19 male/female ration for wuwa
They only have 3 models per gender and recycle them. Adult, Child and toddler. They just change the hair and clothes calling it a new character. All the designs look the same for me for most characters.
