Great to see Ana, I've never seen her whole self. I just assumed she was tall. But she's short like me! And then a dog walks on stage...this is gonna be epic. LOVE YOU ALL!
I see where Ben is coming from on Land Back, but have some differences. I'd love to discuss but I would be reasonable about it :). I can give some real examples (from where I live) where land has successfully been given back to incorporated indigenous groups. In NM we have 19 Pueblos, plus Apache and Navajo reservations. Whether or not we agree with the concept of multiple governing bodies within a nation-state, sometimes Land Back is discussed as simply virtue signaling. I actually agree with Ben's critique of 99% of this topic, and I work in the thick of this stuff. But...not all "land back" is the that thing. There are ongoing legal issues between tribes and the federal government. This isn't about where people's parents/grandparents lived, this is where people are living now. I think Ben should debate Nick Estes from Red Nation. At least he would be a worthy opponent.
In general I love this channel, but it's pretty wild to invite Ana and then roast Emma. I don't really care about the demonization of Ana and don't have any issue with leftists inviting her on, but I don't think there is any denying TYT's right-wing shift, or Ana's fear-mongering about homeless people and crime. Emma, on the other hand, has stayed very principled.
We know about it. I don't doubt that SOME of the civilian deaths on the 7th were because of it. But also Hamas fighters literally filmed themselves slaughtering random civilians. Both are true.
@ Not doubting both to be true but scale is considerable. Hope you caught the original October 7 documentary by Al Jazeera + check out Asa Winstanley’s more recent reporting in the Electronic Intifada on the Hannibal Directive 👏

Ana, Jason, and Ben deserve high praise for speaking up on the ghastly goings on in Palestine. However the implicit argument they are making is against the state and in support of private property rights - rights which emerged long before the state and its attendant savagery ever arose. Just as language emerged by way of disbursed, decentralized, unintentional, unplanned, complex collective processes - so it is with private property rights. And it is just such private property rights exterior to and independent of any state which are at the very heart of the Palestine crisis. Now ironically Leftish commentators frequently argue that private property rights DEPEND on the state. Project Israel shows the opposite is the case, that the state makes possible - and only the state makes possible - the wholesale eradication and destruction of private property rights.
@@lukemacri6557 In other words on what basis does someone like you, Luke Macri, object to the state of Israel seizing the homes and lands of the Palestinians ? Are you not appealing to the private property rights of individual Palestinians in contradistinction to say the 'eminent domain' rights of the state, or if you like under socialism, the right of the central planning committee to confiscate property held by individuals in preference for property held 'collectively' by the state. In fact the latter is exactly the template followed by the state of Israel. A central planning committee first collectivizes the land to which Palestinians held title, then retitles it to those counting as Jewish Israeli citizens.
@robertcarpenter8077 ok got it. I've heard people make a distinction between personal property and private property, where an individual still has a right to a fair share of what is collectively distributed. So wouldn't the state in this case be violating that fair share principle by allocating on the basis of ethnicity?

It was his BOY. That shit was fucked UP.
Also, great job by everyone.
BTW, just tried to buy the book and it is out of stock. No pre-order option :(

Doesn’t seem to me that Ana has “left the Left”
This is from like a few months ago my guy.
@@DanielBurtonDidYourWife Do you think she's changed any of her political positions since October 22nd (the date of this event)?
