Thank you! You just helped me figure out what the problem is with my 2003 f250 5.4!
Enjoy your all your videos. Keep it up 👍🏾. At the end the truck sounded real good. 🛻
Great video! Helped me greatly.
My Ford Triton is Fix Or Repair Daily, also Found On Road Dead..but we have a love/hate thing going on.
nice clean work job well done have a great day
Thank you the video was excellent. Exactly the same thing was happening to mine.
Glad it helped. Thanks for watching.
Another good video fellas
Dam I have the same exact issue I got lucky finding this I was just looking up how to hook hook up the machine but I hope this works
Hope it helps you out
I need to change the fuel pump in my '05 F-150. It has the same symptoms. I've always been on top of regular maintenance. The truck has almost 300,000 miles on it.
How to check the fuel pump pressure? Where do you hook up the guage, I have 2005 f150 5.4 3v
Having a similar issue. Wound up ditching oem pump and tank.wireing in a inline pump 3 different pumps to be exact. Every pump installed surges and falls on its face when giving throttle. Also truck wont rev pass 3k
On the 3v, Fpcm is located at the spare tire, check it!
2v inspect/clean the fuel pressure regulator under the hood. Let me know if it helps
Best part of the video @5:43
My 98 Mustang GT did this a couple months after I changed plugs and wires so I replaced coil packs and o2 sensors and it still stuttering do I have defective plugs or wires? Gaps off? Or is it my fuel pump? I need to pressure test it
Fuel pressure can really throw a curve ball sometimes
Was that a racin jack leg?
I feel like Gary is breathing like Darth Vader.
hi its Dawson
I’m rlly hoping it’s my mass flow
I'm trying to figure out how to hook up the pressure gauge.
It’s on the fuel rail on the 4.6,5.4 and 6.2
What kind of rtv is fuel proof?
85420 would probably be your best bet, but what are you trying to accomplish?
Pain in the ass
Thinks it’s tome for the wife to surprise you with a bigger shop and a lift !
If only I could!!
Pretty scary when your customer has an issue with $400 for a new tank.
Yea that’s why we opted to use the old even though some idiot messed it up in the past.
Fix Or Repair Daily
It’s a high mile work truck, had very little problems. Every brand has their issues.
So basically how much fuel pressure does it supposed to be
It should never drop below 30 under a load with the Tritons is my rule of thumb. If I remember correct it was dropping to 10 or less
@@AutomedicGarage oh ok I started mine up at idol and it was like at 28
BRENDAJASON1 you have to check under a load(driving). You can have good fuel pressure all day running or even revving in park but the true test is under a load. Check for any major vacuum leaks also.
@@AutomedicGarage I’m gonna take a fuel gauge and tie it off like you did and try it mine really shows up when I went into all the gears feels like something is hitting the front of the truck. First I thought it might be water in the tank, I’ve put a new pump in it about three years ago but it did run it low a few times so I might got the pump hot
BRENDAJASON1 have you scanned it. If so what codes?
Where is fuel pressure port
On the fuel rail towards rear
Fix Or Repair Daily
-Feeling(s) Only(of) Regret & Disappointment
-Fixin Often, Rarely Drivable
-F@ckin Owner's Really Dumb
-Freaking Out, Really Depressed
-Funs Over, Revealing Deception...
... just some from the list I came up with while learning(self teaching myself) about my engine, transmission and every other aspect that is teeming with flaws on my truck.. none other than the infamous 2005 5.4l 3V Supercrew 4x4 Lariat.
