Exciting news! The inclusion of Rose number [225] beautifully symbolizes our collaborative efforts in this creative garden at CoinEra. Let's continue nurturing this shared space together! 🌹🌷🌼 Thank you for being an integral part of it! 😊💖
I remember the 2014 proof Britannia taking a long time to sell out at the mint, my favourite coins are those that take their time to establish themselves. And i love trying to pick the winners, that is part of the fun and if it was easy, well, where would the fun in that be?
I usually "shy away" as you say, from the collector coins and medals created by mints, either goverment or private mints, who seems to me started this whole product line.
Thanks, very interesting. I prefer to stick to the Sovereigns myself, where you get a guarantee of the intrinsic value. I also like the Queens beasts silver series, especially the red dragon, but then we go down the dangerous route of personal preference!
Great to see an arrival and unboxing video in one, great selection of coins again!! I think the designs from the Royal mint are great, comparing it with the Dutch mint. But like the royal mint, 95% of there coins decrease in value over time. It's better to buy them at auction, one year later.
@@Numistacker in the Netherlands we have gold €10 coins, they are issued 2 or 3 times a year, to remember a special event. But they cost way too much, at issue price. Most of them sell for their gold value, at the major action houses in The Netherlands only one year after they were issued. So I like a design (is not happening that often), I will buy it at one of the action houses, a few years later.
I was listening to the ramble, rather than watching, which is always rather a shame with your channel, because you show off the most marvelous things. Thanks for the contend and ta ta.
Brilliant Video , Love the unboxing , I think The 2022 Sovereign will become valuable in years to come , Great Design and the last sovereign of Queen Elizabeth II.
Hi Numistacker I have the Charles III Definitives 2023 UK Silver Proof Coin which includes a silver proof salmon 50p Is that the coin you mentioned becoming rare of is it a different version thanks in advance
With modern bullion coins I would simply get what you find most attractive - forget about potential increase in bullion value or possible low mintages. The bullion coins are rarely used in commerce and are quite difficult to use in this manner anyway. For clad -- it is a roll of the dice if the mintage is comparatively low. I bought the BU UNC 2023 set last year and see that it has developed a nice premium for something that usually loses value or at best you get what you paid after a few years (in the US these sets suffer greater devaluation!). SO for this it is either for a historical momento or you enjoy the design of the coins. The classic coins the Royal Mint sells are usually overpriced. I would avoid buying those. The piedfort sets while nice to get are to me only worth it if you can handle the splurge. They seem to do decently over time but can still be partially reliant on precious metal markets rather than numismatic worth. In sum the Royal Mint does make some gorgeous coins but due to the high price of many of its offerings, I would only get something that either you enjoy the design much or there is some other facet that grabs (+ of course you have the funds to get it without being a spendthrift).
Beautiful coins - but not really collectors item considering the limited issue and hence the price - available to the rich collectors only and the specific genre collectors - out of reach for most people
Can't beat the queen's beast series the first one that is always knew it was a winner and wow the completer one of the best coins ever made absolutely stunning coin. But yes definitely buy what you like my personal favourite special sovereign is the 2005 I have a pf70 in the 5 sovereign also love victoria young head shield.s in good condition don't like any 50p coins
Prices are pulling back from the excessive expectations from collectors however. At least in the bullion. We'll see if it stands up to father time. Especially in the face of desirable newer things, with their own hype trains, blaring horns, spot lights and all

Appreciate the tip on the circulating 50p salmon as well as the lovely selection of raw and graded coins.

I'd sure like to see a couple of those 70's when my coins go through 😊

The new sovereigns will have an intrinsic, or spot, value of about £460 each, but are due to go on sale for £860 each. I'm out.
@@DerekWalsh-l4i I agree there. I prefer the older sovereigns, where you may pay a premium, but get some ‘numismatic’ value as well.
I think the Queen’s fifth portrait shield 2024
Last of the rose gold designs is worth honourable Mention
best coin in 2023 was JRR Tolkien Gold £2 Proof Coin ,i think this beauty increas in Value in the next years
The Completer is part of this list particularly the gold 2oz. Wonderful design 🤤

Is that right? If you buy them at auction one year later you pay auction commission but they do not increase in value

It was kind of designed as almost a podcast

Thanks you are way too kind
I hope so. I ordered plain old bullion half sovereigns from RM and they sent me these 2022s in blister packs, not complaining though 😊
Very informative 😊
Go for a 1989 double sovereign

It is not the particular coin, which is rare, however like the kew Gardens, a lot of the non-rare derivatives may also go up in price.
@@Numistacker thank you
There noted for the bad quality control and always high prices ,,😮

Gold always undervalue.
Not from the royal mint with what they charge and their premiums, on the secondary market , yes.

The Queen’s beast series was one of those that everybody felt was a winner and so it became a winner.

Hello 👋
Hello
Greek, Roman, Byzantine??... no no, just the humble 50p from 1969 to present... 😮
Nothing wrong with the 50p
They got a milk spot problem.
