Started training for my 1st marathon. With exactly 6 months until race day.
Marathons are incredible feats, and it's completely natural to feel drained and frustrated after hitting an injury. Injuries are a temporary hurdle, not a roadblock.
But remember, you pushed your body to its limits, and now it deserves quality rest. This temporary hurdle is a chance to focus on neglected areas like strength training and flexibility, potentially making you an even stronger runner. Think of this as an investment in your future runs. While recovery is key, stay connected to the running community for inspiration. Perhaps explore other active pursuits like swimming or yoga.
Imagine yourself back on the track, feeling even better than before. Running a marathon is a journey, not just a finish line. Embrace the learning experience, celebrate your accomplishments, and know that even the greatest runners face setbacks.
It's your determination that defines you! Goodluck.
