That's funny cause this is nearly the EXACT way I've been taught and have done for almost 18yrs! Now that I am a Beginner in Muay Thai, I'm learning OPPOSITE: The "Muay Thai March"... which feels great too BUT maybe I can go back this style of Stance/Movement but with use of EIGHT LIMBS (which I wasn't taught for 18yrs) A hybrid style almost
The traditional Muay Thai stance is 50/50 to check with both legs. When you put more weight on the rear leg, like 80/20 that's considered a defensive Muay Thai stance. And the footwork showed in the video is not new, is very traditional you can find it in many Muay Thai fighters of the 50's and 60's.
@@Skibidi4234harder to set up checks, I do this stance tho when playing offense but when I play defense I just do the weight on the back foot and the front foot tapping stance
In my opinion Seanchai combine muaythai slow more relax stance and a taekwondo or dutch kickboxing. Cus we always bouncing around so it's very dynamic and fast.
@@randymuaythai492 ruclips.net/video/mzWyoH4WrWA/видео.html watch this video, is traditional Muay Thai the footwork and stances were different, this fight is from the 50's and is really cool, every Muay Thai practitioner need to know that old school Muay Thai fighters were very light on their feets moving in and out with amazing footwork. Now everyone thinks that you should combine Muay Thai with boxing to have good footwork, but that's not true because traditional Muay Thai has already good footwork. Also the traditional stances and footwork, are perfect for MMA.
@@ryu3019 yup. But those guy on your link have a light foot works. Seanchai is fast but those guys are faster. Moving in n out. Awesome. Thank for the link. And they move like a taekwondo fighter. See my fight on my channel. We move just like that.
Try to ask An if this footwork is very similar to jumping on tire, the same latent springalike effect? I mean, I got big respect for you, but thais have different understanding and feel way beyond farangs, it seems to be, so his uncencored input on this is important, thanks.
A lot of karate fighters and boxers use this footwork combined with step-in feints like Manny Pacquiao does. The purpose of this movement is to disguise your attacks, get reads on your opponents, and pressure them with your feints, and to be light on your feet so you're able to cut more angles efficiently.

The Muay Thai community needs content like this it’s brilliant!
Glad you are enjoying the content. Thanks for the support!
Love this very good incorporation from the soviet style of boxing to Muay Thai

I don't see many people use this bounce, only the march as u said or just nothing. I think it disguises movements well
Greetings This comes at the right time Thanks Muay Thai PROS
Great video again! Keep them coming 👍👍
These videos are pure gold
Bro this is helpful keep it up
Was looking for a solid video on Saenchai's stance. His stance is different than the traditional heavy on the back leg stance we come to see.

What’s your training partners full name. Love his footwork💪
Kinda like the Fuijan White Crane Kung Fu/Shotokan/Taekwondo/Boxing kind of footwork. Muay Thai just tanks through attacks, Muay Boran is so cool
Each stance has pros and cons. Find one that best suits you!
What even are the cons of this stance

No, he use old school Muay Thai, this foot work was very common in the 50's and 60's
The stances of seanchai are 100% Muay thai
Yes I've just found out about boran muaythai. It's very dynamic. Always move around. You train muaythai?

Buakaw should do a serious sparring with Saenchai 👍
Traditional shotokan bounce
Muay boran, actually . Seanchai explained that he use old school style.
Basic footwork for karate.
Exactly taekwondo and savate too
basic for karate because so many karate rulesets prohibit low kicks
Then you get kicked in the leg
We’re all just different branches of the same tree
