Really good video with easy-to-follow explanations. I'm trying to do the job with an IM608 but the blank key part isn't working for me. When I put the blank key in my XP400 it doesn't bring ask me if there's a key password like it shows at 16:08 of your video, it just goes straight into obtaining the password and programs the blank key. Any ideas on how to avoid this?

I was able to enter the Get Password menu by going through expert mode😊 The thing you said at 19:50 about not needing to follow the other steps in the Get Password process since we only needed the password and the way you explained the wiring diagram for the emulator at 22:50 were also instrumental. I've watched so many videos on this topic but yours is the best by far because you don't assume your audience know any of the steps and you don't rush over anything. Kudos to you, I wish I could like your video twice👏! Liked and subscribed👊

That’s very broad question. It’s all depends on what car model you are aiming. But you will need key cutter , and key programmers. And a lot of research or training

@@autopurlieu so I sent them my EIS they repaired it and sent me a steering wheel lock with my EIS but I have a 99 c43 and it didn’t have one to start with so I am trying to figure out there pin out diagram.
@@autopurlieu actually, I apologize they didn’t send me a steering wheel lock. They sent me the ignition switch and a new emulator. But still key won’t turn without the key in the ignition. The emulator still turns green, so I don’t know where there’s a fault any ideas
@@autopurlieuok, because I had one instance of the car not responding when I put the keyfob to the ignition so I took the esl out of the steering column ( i got it out w/o removing the steering column) and ziptie it under the dash just in case it stop functioning it's already accessible.
The esl finally stop working, I replaced the motor I bought from amazon but the motor stopped working after a few test. But if I directly put 12 volts on the motor, it spins.
Is it correct to say, "I replace ESL with an emulator and do the programming exactly as if I replaced the malfunctioned ESL with a new one?" I live outside the USA, which is why I'm seeking your advice.
Do you need a new key? Will the old ones stop working? I have a friend who has the tool but he’s never done one and I came here to ask in case. Thank you. He’s using the mini ELV Simulator from XHorse :)
pity that autel does not play the game is locked the fact that we cannot make a mercedes key with the autel im508 es xp400 until the update is finished because it forces you to buy the updates to be able to make the mercedes keys allor that on other model no need to have the update activated for the year
@@M12MA I have never used plug and play. There are some says plug and plug but still need programming. Think about it, (watch the video) each car has their own file and password for it to work specifically to your car. I don’t see a plug and play works that way
You know I did just read the old ESL and copied the ESL data onto the emulator and it worked I didn't have to calculate password or none of that stuff just read and write from the ESL menu

That’s very broad question.
It’s all depends on what car model you are aiming.
But you will need key cutter , and key programmers. And a lot of research or training
What if the data on the EIS cannot be read🤔🤔🤔….for instance if your EIS is bad…what’s the way forward?
If it can’t be read with this process. Try reading it eeprom. Solder it it directly

If they sent you a repaired steering lock, it should be plug and play.

Can you program an emulator as a reserve(spare) from a working ESL without sending you the .EIS.
To program an ESL emulator , I will always need the EIS and working key fob . I have to read the information from something to program
