Thank you for sharing - I had a similar experience moving to the middle of nature from cities - it was like shifting to living life in a completely different consciousness and rhythm. What I love about the subtext of what you're saying here is that we have the space and time to recalibrate our inner worlds and to come home to our self by exposing ourselves to new energy - which is so powerful. Really appreciate that you're sharing some of your "coming home" story. It's such good medicine for people these days. (I also make videos on RUclips with a similar intention - Just started my RUclips journey actually ☺️ - on that note, thank you for your beautiful videos, totally inspired by your vision and work!) I watch a number of people on RUclips who are into nature, living off-grid, etc., and they can all have their interesting thoughts and ways that I enjoy very much, but I appreciate how you can think a little bit more about some things and the unique perspective you bring to that.
You are a bit like the philosopher in the woods, and I can imagine it would be so much fun to read one of these books and then sit around a quiet fire at night sipping tea and talking with you about what they all mean. :) I will definitely be listening to the first one, so thank you again! 🌲

Jordan Peterson is a run of the mill Christian conservative who has become famous for spouting generic self help tips. His form of self help is very much part of the illusion that Kalle has managed to break away from. This self help serves to make you a better cog in the machine that is the corporate run industrial society (the destruction of the world). It makes you interpret political and social issues as your own. Jordan Peterson himself is right wing, the right wing push for keeping 'tradition' (these traditions are part of the illusion and destruction of the world) while also advocating for industrial and technological growth. Technological growth and 'keeping tradition' are not compatible. You cannot have growth without drastic societal change. And this societal change is propelling us towards more degeneracy and destruction. He is not able to see this because he has fallen back on and takes comfort in the illusion of Christianity (a system of control that has allowed the mass of workers to slave away all day destroying the planet for monetary gain of the oligarchy). I strongly recommend to stay away from Peterson's destructive thinking and to instead see behind the veil: Who benefits from getting people to follow his ideology.

@@Tom-sf7cm I am glad you have your own opinion but i dont appreciate if people put words/thoughts into my mouth/mind. Its in my top 3 list because it helped me a lot in my life so it is very personal. I grew up and was raised christian and i am very close to nature and i call myself minimalist. There are many ways to understand his books and I took the best for myself. It helped me to get a stronger mind and get my life together. I am now self employed and not working for any big corporation. If you are a true christian you will not waste money on materialistic things. The biggest problem we have as a society ist over consumerism which leads to all the climate problems we have right now. I can 100% assure you that it has nothing to to with any Ideology but with people spending money on stuff they dont really need. Thats why i like kalle living a simple minimalistic life. He is a big inspiration and i am happy that i will soon live like him because i am self employed.
The only thing i might agree with you is, that some people get blinded by JP and worship him like some kind of god. Stil i can totally recommend his book.

I cannot believe in such short time how much difference I see. I say I was forced because of health matters but I believe my body was refusing to continue with old patterns (although it wasn't too bad) the change is significant. I think we are forced everytime more to really look closer to what we are eating. We can't reach for sustainability only externally, it must align also internal with our health habits.

I have read such books through and through my life thinking during my very young days thinking as if I have to fix my lost soul to a standard of which the authors of such books have set. Reading what anyone wrote was always a human dialogue and all ideologies and philosophies were fascinating till the next life situation showed up. I read many new age books, about Buddhism and too many to explain. It was always a fall and stand up on my own until I realized I am not just a soul but I have a Spirit in which all I need for this life and beyond is Divinely and precisely stored up. It was Bible that gave me the way and the truth about everything that exists or beyond. I am not relating to The Bible as a religious book, but more a relational one that only one's spirit can reveal. I am now seeing why this world is full of humans suffering including my self and thankful for the Bible for opening my eyes to the HEAVENS❣❣❣

Kalle, thank you for sharing your book list with us. Ishmael sounds just up my alley. I very much do not, nor ever have, vibed with the consumer driven world around us. I think a good number of your viewers are seeking a simpler, quieter, even more holistic life. They, like me, see the many benefits to a great number of modern things, but want to live in a world full of artisans, not factories. Balance.

“Small wonder that spell means both a story told, and a formula of power over living men.” - J.R.R. Tolkien. I remember the Breath book from your Patreon post, and I am thoroughly intrigued! I signed up for Audible and decided to use my credit for Ishmael though, since I have trouble focusing while reading fiction sometimes. I'd say this is a good start to my "read one book a month" new year's intention 👍🏻 Thanks Kalle, and I hope you and Christine are getting better, slowly but surely 💙

I must admit that no one really thinks of how they breathe until someone truly focuses on it....I think I'd be more interested to read Nestor's and Javis's books....the philosophical one is also insightful, but the second and third books would be more applicable to me at the point that I currently I'm in life.....thank you so much for sharing, Kalle.....Please pass my greetings to Christine.....

I'm glad you found happiness, but I can't really imagine that you can resume yourself to three books. Mainly the desire for change was already there, and you found some guides in this three books, but mostly and surely all of the other books influenced you on a subconscious level as well. I'm glad you found happiness, it is indeed a precious gem.

Hi Kalle, thanks for the recommendation of the tree books. It's interesting, I'm the first time on your channel and exactly then you speak about breathing - my biggest topic actually, because five weeks ago I launched a book which is called 'just breathe -toolbox' with video exercises where I also speak about this amazing topic, about our breath. So thank you once more for making this topic conscious.

I'm just now knowing of this wonderful technology of audio books. Thank you.

Ishmael had the same effect on me; it completely changed the way I saw the world! It is a really important book. In fact, we buy cheap copies periodically so we can give them away. It is not hard reading, but it can be annoying. Stick with it: you have to get all the way to the end to fully understand it!
