Remember cherries, pears and plums to produce fruit have to cross pollinate. So you need different sorts of the fruit trees in the garden.
Several seedlings of the same species reasonably close to each other.
Your videos have such a calming effect on me. Just watching them soothes my soul. It must be heaven living the life you do with your family in such a beautiful place. Thank you for sharing this.
Nice to be cuddled "gosad" when you are gardening
Loved the video. You and your lifestyle are truely an example forr me in life. It gives me hope that I can live the life I have in my head. Thank you Kalle
What an absolutely lovely video in every respect 🥰💖💞 the sweet little snippets of your son being the icing on the cake 💓🙀
Greetings from California USA Kalle. You are doing well as a father and husband.
,"A Rolling Pin" is what it is called in English. We hand them down in my family. I have my grandmother's from the 1930s.
I have my mother’s, it’s pretty old, too. I never asked where or when she got it.
Nudelholz = kavel , Ger- Swe
What a beautiful family and property... each season gives me more of a glimpse of what life might have been like for my farmor, in Nordmaling, where she was born in 1905. My parents and i visited in 1977, and I remember it being very full of tall trees, and beautiful. We also went to the coast around Nordmaling, and saw the Baltic Sea. Truly beautiful country. I look forward to your cookbook !
Wowsy wow your farmor was from Nordmaling. 🤍
Wow! Such great fotos of your delicious food! Looking forward to your book! Lovely greetings to you and your little happy family ❤
Great video! Watch out for that mint - it will next send roots out under the planter square and into other areas of the garden - you may want to pull it while you can and replant in a container…
Yes container may avoid a future headache unless you really love mint.
I grew a small peppermint in a raised bed last year. This spring I discovered that it had sent out lots of up to 2 meter long underground shoots ready to overtake the whole bed. 😀Never again. From now on they will be potted.
I’m loving the Cook Book photos, amazing job! 🥗🍝🍔
I love hearing g the Swedish names of the plants, some names are similar in German like Ringelblumen for calendula.
Oh dear, the mint! You will say this year that you're giving it the whole box to go crazy but do you think mint stops with just one box? The boxes are close enough to each other so that next year you'll find it sprouting in other boxes as well. If you want to grow mint indeed, I would give it a corner far from other veggie boxes and flower beds and pray it doesn't take over the whole yard eventually
Nice to see that you are acquiring new skills such as "gardening" (usual Christine's work!)...
I am curious... How did the dogs reacted to the baby?!?!?! 👶
Would be nice to see your new "running water" in your house! 🌊
Good luck for your wood... I thinking you were wishing that your son be already 10 yrs old!🤪 Maybe you should try to find a way to open you shed on both sides because your old wood will always be in the back!!! but if you could move the frame from one side to the other, you could rotate the opening every year ... one year one side,, next year the other side!!!
Cooking book making... a multi task personality!!! wow you continue to amaze me!!! 😲
I notice that you have tattoos and I am curious to know why to choose to have tattoos? I am 75 yrs old and could not understand how people put those on their body... How does fit into your healthy living... put ink (everything else than the body isn't is a kind of intoxication?!?!?! Is it a pain "test"? 🤔
You planting trees for special occasions is a beautiful idea!!!
Just a thought: Christine and your son are very lucky to have you!!! Hard worker and dedicated to whatever you do!. Rare man!!!
Thank you to share those beautiful moments with us... soothing and enlivening! 💫💖👌🥰👌💖✨✨
Such an exquisite video the way you shoot, (like babies feet in the sox), and also the food photos your friend created with everything so beautifully arranged, I love how you (all) think in terms of cozy.. lovely.
When loosening and tightening, remember, "righty tighty ... lefty loosy"! 😊
I was just going to say that! 😁
❤
This is the kindest and most relaxing video I've seen in a while
Hi Kalle and Christine, thank you for sharing your experiences with us! Kalle, I like your story about saying different fruit tree names to your son and he smiled at "Plum" tree. I grew up with many different variety of fruit trees and have very happy memories enjoying the raw fruit and also fruit pies and cakes. Wishing you many happy hours together!
How is your indoor bathroom in your main house coming along?
The pictures turned out SO GOOD!! You have such an eye for aesthetics and beauty! 😍
Kalle it’s always a joy to watch your progress on the cabin!! You and Christine have made a lovely, peaceful home for your family!! Watching your videos definitely helps calm me when I’ve had a hectic day!! Sending you, Christine and your beautiful baby boy lots of love and prayers!! Blessings to you all- from the US(Illinois)😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏
Thank you Kalle for another gorgeous video - you have more patience than anyone I know - peace and happiness.
Nice video. Lot's going on...came together really well. Good work!
Beautiful video, thank you! Congratulations on new son!
lovely video Kalle!! Happy to see your family happy!!
Kale loving your videos. Thank you for sharing your life. Question- why do your dogs always have harness on? Beautiful garden.
Very nice and relaxing video 😀 And at least I know one of the cooking book dishes is very very tasty 😋
Thank you Guy 🥰 Oh yes, that's right!
This is how you remember which way to pull: Righty tighty, lefty loosey. I use this all the time 😃
How smart about the shape of the hole and the root growth. I will be trying that!
Do not feel stupid about the tire. We have a saying here in the US righty tighty, lefty Loosy.
I have to say that so often so I remember that left loosens them and right tightens things. Usually with a screwdriver. Or maybe the hose outside. Or… :-)
A little tip regarding the tire issue. In the US we have a product called Fix A Flat, that is pressurized and has an ingredient that plugs the puncture. It has saved me on a number of locations in remote areas.
Wow, how nice of you to treat Christina. Beautiful. And now you are parents. Your doing a great job 😊.
Thank you for this lovely update. Greetings Melinda 👋🏻 🎉
These are early days that will pass you by in a blink of an eye..so cherish these days enjoy them and hold on tight.. it will be a fast moving pace that in a years time you will say where did the time go?keep the love alive and enjoy each moment..god bless to the three of you..thank you for showing glimpse of the baby ..it satiates me with wanting to know and also makes sure your baby has privacy..congratulations once again on the birth of your precious little one..
Always excellent videos. I so appreciate your work in putting them together. You make it look easy but I know the work that goes into making them so professional.
Loved the video today ❤ I so enjoy watching you live a beautiful simple life. I am definitely interested in your new cook book . 😊😊😊😊
Beautiful photography for your e cook book. Thank you for sharing your videos
This is such a good video, only ten minutes in, I can tell already 😊😊😊
Aw, thank you so much for saying that 🥰
Amazing photography, best of luck with it all!!

What a wonderful video! Thank u for sharing! Greetings from Canada :)
A “Trellis”. ( trel.lis) is a light wooden or metal bar structure which supports climbing vines, flowers or plants. The wooden kitchen object you referred to earlier as a roller, Americans, call it a “rolling pin”, or baker’s rolling pin.” Please continue to teach us objects in your language as well, as it is interesting to learn. Ty for presenting nice videos complete with music. May God, bless the three of you and keep you in His care! ❤❤❤CarrieJo/North Carolina/USA 😊
We have all been there, baby fog brain is a natural part of parenthood 😊. I'm glad you are taking care of yourself. It's most important ❤️
All your receipts look delicious 😋 good luck with your book. 🎉
Thank you 🥰
Get well soon
Why are you not carrying a spare tire, epecially in rural areas?
I know you are very busy with your little one but please try and dry as many herbs as you can for the winter. They are so expensive in the stores nowadays!😍🇨🇦
Kalle du borde få med stomp-bröd i receptboken 🙏🤩 På Farfars vis åt man stomp och messmör men det går ju att variera 😂 tack som alltid för trevliga videos!
Good luck for the fishes!!🍀💚 Poor who are killed!🥲
How do you keep the animals from snacking on your plants? I don't see any fencing and it's pretty low to the ground.
As we say in America...righty tighty....lefty loosey! LOL
Thanks bro ...
Hey :) Thank you for making these beautiful videos!! I love watching them and get inspired by the way you and Christine live your life. One thing I always wanted to ask is, how are you handeling the ticks? I remember, when I went to Sweden, especially to the forest, there were so many tiny ticks. And also here in Germany.. So, I am wondering, do you have a problem with them? How are you able to relax when walking barefoot in the forest and sitting there, to not get a tick.
Much love to your little family 🥰
Vilken ljuvligt fin fisk
Try to contain that mint while you can. If you can dig it out now and put in a pot you will be better off. It will take over that whole garden it is ruthless. It will spread in the paths and continue on. Dig out everything and then cover the area with cardboard and that might just have caught it. Good luck.
Great video
Righty righty lefty loosey rule!
Dragon is tarragon in English.
Or you could have a plug kit in your car and fix puncture on the spot.
Hej Kalle! Mysig video som vanligt. Visst har du förnyat ditt stelkrampsskydd med tanke på att du brukar jorden utan handskar? :)
I've always heard the saying "having your work cut out for you" in American English. Is that a saying in Sweden too, or did you pick it up when you learned English?
How much you pay for birch fire wood per cubic meter in Sweden?
Cherish every moment.
I noticed you are wearing a wedding band on your left hand. Did you both get married?????
Righty righty, lefty loosy... Ugh. I do the same.
14 m^3 is what Americans call about 6 cords. A cord is 8x4x4 feet.
Allways remenber For the tire rightie tightness lefty losey
Coming to yours for pizza
dragon = tarragon
Don’t you consider your head space as an outing?❤
Try moving the baby's crib to change the energy. You seem to be living your old life as a single man doing everything in and outside of the home. You need to take it easy.
I wish I could walk outside barefoot 😢
Your oregano will go wild too!! Beware
You are such a peaceful soul, Kalle. Christine and your son will keep you grounded, and I wish you much happiness together! Greetings from Pennsylvania, USA. 💕🌷🐻
A truly beautiful family. Kalle, you appear to be very calm. It’s encouraging to me who is not. I truly love your lifestyle.
I'm also quite stressed a lot of days, but when I have days and moments like in this video, that brings me true calm and happiness 😊
I remember last spring you would say planting for you and Christian and now you say planting for your family. While things change they also stay the same with different meanings and thought processes. It’s a beautiful time in your life. And there will be nothing harder and more rewarding as being a parent. To all three of you I send the very best for as much happiness as you can bring to yourselves.
❤❤❤ Thank you Edward ❤
Kalle, I really love your channel! I always had a special place in my heart for Sweden and your videos make me want to live in the swedish countryside too!
I like your connection with nature and food and how you appreciate the small things in life. It's a breeze of fresh air on social media to see people who are not all about money and materialistic stuff but also not too focused on being perfect in any kind of way. Many channels about alternative/sustainable living give me these pressure vibes of not trying hard enough but yours never does! You two just seem so genuine, happy and just like people you would like to know in real life. Truly inspirational!
Thanks for your great work and all the best - especially for your little son,
Annika from Germany
Greetings from a Berliner living almost 40 years in the USA.
I named my 3rd child Annika!
I always loved that name eversince growing up with Pipi Langstrumpf❤
So very grateful for your humility, it is calming for me to watch a man admit to little mistakes and how you overcame it without losing your temper.
Your persona is a beautiful example of how a man can be both strong and humble. It is very therapeutic for me to watch because I have a bit of trauma from many men in my life. Thanks for being you.
' lefty Lucy...Righty tighty' Now you know 🤣🤣🤣
Haha that's exactly what I screamed out loud to myself when I realized my mistake 😂
A slightly pedantic correction, but the saying is "lefty loosey...", as in "left to loosen the nut". Minor, I know, but it might make more sense for non-native English speakers.
@@mistersquid23 Mea Culpa!
You are a natural at editing! It is so easy to follow along and I believe it is because you are a good story teller. Soon, you will become a natural at fatherhood. There is early evidence of this that we see in these short clips of you with your beautiful son. So happy for you, Christine and family!
p.s. RE: Tour tire repair -- here in the states they say, ‘righty tighty, lefty loosey”! Your recipes looks rustically scrumptious!
His was an easy to watch video. I love that you don't try to be a sort of macho man telling us openly you were turning the nuts the wrong way. It's so refreshing. Good that you both enjoying your baby boy in a relaxed way as it's easy to become over tired. Enjoy the life we all wish we had. Thankyou.❤🎉❤
You need to add soil/compost to those boxes.
happy first mothers day christine!!❤
Remember every giggle, burp, blink and toot! You are blessed!🇨🇦😍
Kalle, always carry a spare tire - even if it one of your winter tires!
The sense of peace I get from watching your videos is like a meditation in itself.
Thank you for another great video. So peaceful and calm. I look forward to ordering your cook book ❤
Hi Kalle, what a Beautiful video! I am so impressed with your photos for your new cook book. I will definitely be buying one. I'm so happy for you and your Beautiful family! You definitely put a smile on my face and I was able to relax and just enjoy your content. Well done!! Much love to you , Christine and your new baby boy ❤🌷❤️
Such a peaceful video. Thank you.
The photography for your new book is stunning.
Bless your beautiful family.
🌿 🌱 🌿 🌱
When baby is 6 mo old you won't be as tired and your outlook will be better
Beautiful family!
Tea made from hops, intriguing.
Just beautiful. This video really touched my heart from beginning to end. I'm so happy I ran across your channel so long ago.
Hops also spread and grow under ground, not like the mint but as above so below,as you know ❤
It seems you don't have a lot of mosquitos (yet) up there? Is it common or are they still to arrive? All the best!
I think you are doing an excellent job on RUclips and as a dad and a farmer.
Left for loosey and right for tighty
great idea for a tradition of planting a fruit tree for big events; May the roots grow deep and nourish your family for many years!
Enjoy your supper ☘️
Love the video, but why you need an app to meditate when you're in the middle of the forest😄
Don't you need 2 Plum trees to get fruit?
Lovely baby moments, his little feet🩵💛🩵
