dope vid as usual heres a day in the life of a first year software eng student at uOttawa 6am-8:30 - wake up, work out/basketball workout, shower 8:30-9:00- eat 9-1:00 - study sesh 1 1:-1:30 - eat 1:30-6:30 - study sesh 2 (snack or meal in between depending on my hunger lol) 6:30-8 5k run and then just work on my basketball shooting and handling 8-8:30 shower 8:30-9 - dinner 9:00 - 10:00 - read a book summary and take notes on it (just like taking down the main lessons and points since i dont have time to fully read books) 10:00 - wind down, and sleep
@@kingkezz8483 it sounds a lot harder than it acc is, if you spend ur day playing ball and pushing urself mentally with crazy coding, you just tend to feel tired lol. Also add the fact i do go to bed at around 10-11 so i wake up naturally at around 6-7 (due to both getting enough sleep and the faxct that i get to play ball when i wake up lol)

Hey man, I really appreciate contents like this, it makes me excited! I'm a Data Engineer in Brazil and I this kind of videos makes me to develop new ideas to organize my work day. Congrats!
can you do a video talking about coding or how you code? I'm majoring in Computer Information Systems, and was just wondering about how you go about writing code or what kind of code you have to write at your job
as a first year software eng student, I just do my assignments (looking into doing some projects over summer) and just google wtv I dont understand from class, such as "what does the implements do in java" etc, geeksforgeeks and stack overflow are dope websites that give tips and lessons thru articles, and theres good youtube guys too like CS Dojo The codes you write at work vary depending on your employer etc, but job descriptions do give you a 75% scope of what ur going to be doing as an intern/employee.
Very cool, your cooking looks on point! Videos like these help give me a good idea of what I might expect to be working on in a job. If you could go into a little more detail with that, like are you involved in the design, the backend, frontend, api's, etc. thanks!
Hey Gyasi I love your content and the quality of your videos. I am currently a junior in high school and am greatly interested in the field of Computer Science and Software Development. One thing I am very curious about is when you learn how to code. Do you learn how to code these languages in college when in the major or on your own time after you graduate? Thanks for the awesome videos!
Great content! Dope sweatshirt (the beige one lol) A great idea for new content is too educate small youtubers on how to get sponsorships and paid promotions for videos! Show us the algorithm LOL
Thanks for showing us a lil about your week being a software engineer 👩💻 how many years of college did you need to do to become a software engineer? :)
hey what do you think is better for someone who's self taught and already working as a sdev, but sees they are lacking in fundamentals and has a little bit of time on there hands ? go back for a second bachelors or part time bootcamp ?
Hi, I’m a mechanical engineer 1st year and not sure if I continue with it or change to Software Engineering. I was taught C language and really liked it, so that’s why I thought of moving to Software; however I feel I have no information or don’t know if I have the abilities to be a good Software Engineer, pls, it takes me a lot of time to solve a task because I’m new to this field. So the only reason I chose Mechanical is because I have some background in Physics from high school although I hate physics problem solving, but I feel I can understand it faster because of the demonstrations of Phy concepts in real world. Right now, I’m really confused should I do Software or do Mechanical? Please give me your advice. Thank you.
Can i be honest? I can do math well if i pay attention, i can learn the content with enough time, and im pretty good at it. My parents (dad) want me to go into something like this, or engineering, and i can do those things. I know i can, and so does he, but my dream has always been to become an actor. The school i'm gong to go to doesn't have such a great theater or film department (not that it matters, since i doubt i would get any financial help from my family if i chose to go into that, they are pretty traditional) and my plan was to take health since course (CLS) and while taking the classes, and eventually when i graduate, take classes and learn, learn, learn about acting, but my dad talked to me and expects me to take a different major on such as CS (haven't told him about what i want to do with the acting, im honestly to afraid about what his reaction would be), and i feel like if i do that, then my dreams would be over, the hours would be long and i would have no time to practice and develop skills in the acting department (go to classes, analyze scripts/characters, create characters, build a resume through projects, memorize the lines etc.). Does anyone have any advice, im about to graduate HS and i have no idea what to do. Could really use some advice :/ (i typed this in another video of yours but i desperately feel like i need some advice from people i dont even know haha. (if you read this whole thing thanks btw)

Hey Gyasi great video bro! I was wondering if it's possible to start a career as a software developer, even tho i do not have much experience I've been trying to teach myself with doing small projects just to learn more about it. I've gotten a decent amount of coding experience in the ETM program but nothing too serious, what would you say about this?
Gyasi I want to be real with you, this lost a lot of what the original video brought- the timing, the realism, these things were tied together in the original, because they were more detailed "a day in the life of," in the move to a week, it has lost some of the appeal IMO. The sense of time between days is just not there- this doesn't help people trying to get their first job because this one won't help in the same way that the first video you made on this does. Perhaps I am just not the audience member for this, and don't mistake me as hating the content- it is presented well , and the videography is good, but I feel it could be better served and presented in a different manner. Just a random guy on the internet, good luck my friend.

So do you do any coding?
What jobs do you think someone with a BCIS Degree (Business computer information systems) would fit into in the tech world ?
