As someone who's a slow learner, would u still recommend programming as a profession? Computer science is one of my combined majors but I really don't know if I want to continue, because of all the intelligent people I'm surrounded with and seeing how much fun they're having on their internships. My thoughts are that I hope (if you haven't touched on any previous video) is being an engineer as an African American. Understandably so, the subject is we all try to avoid as a society which is why I personally feel will slow down our progression to move to pass it. I would like to hear you speak on what possible roadblocks you ran into because of your race, how often did you realize the difference in the community you are in that you are the exception unfortunately not the norm, and did this all the more motivation to succeed beyond your expectations? FAN FOR SURE, continue to be an inspiration and sold voice to the community.

The second thing is, I’m trying to pursue Front-End Development, but this video doesn’t necessarily talk about the longevity of it? Unless Software dev is synonymous with it? I’m assuming not. But i guess what I’m looking for is if there is job security within front-end development from here on out. There are many tools like Bubble and some other names i can’t remember that do no-code variants. Whatre your thoughts? Is Front-End dying from your perspective as a front-end developer? For the most part, the resume is the key to getting internships and jobs. Employers will take about 6 seconds to look at your resume to see if you are good fit. Make those 6 seconds count. Next tip is, apply, apply, apply. There are hundreds of stories where people apply to 100+ jobs and barely hear back. It can be very discouraging but, keep applying and you will find an interview. Last tip is pretty basic but, shouldn't be forgotten. Prepare for interviews!

Do you think learning coding (full stack) through a boot camp is as reliable as receiving a Computer Science degree?

Coding? Yes. Engineering? Maybe. Problem solving? No. Bootcamps teach you more job relevant skills, but good luck passing an algorithms interview with only bootcamp exposure.

    Money IS everything.
Wealth is directly correlated with crime rates, hunger, and happiness.
If it pays any less than $25/hr... to me.. it's not a real job. It's trash. You wanna work to thrive, not work to survive...
