- In this video I rushed to the Mountaintops of the Giants as soon as reasonably possible, to see if you can make a completely overpowered Pyromancy build, WITHOUT relying on Elden Ring’s most spammable and broken incantation, Catch Flame. Here’s how to do it.

I rage-quit every souls-like game within 2 hours of playing, including Elden Ring. But after watching your build guides, I've now beat Elden Ring 6 times, and finished my first NG+ build as Maliketh. Thank you helping me discover my love for these games.

Additional tip for Godfrey and Malenai. Ironjar Aromatic. Since these two bosses only use physical damage, pop on whatever heavy armor keeps you below 99.9% equip load, use the Ironjar, and then just spam your spell. If you need to heal, do so, they can't do anything about it. You'll kill Godfrey before he can do his arena wide explosion, so the fact you can't run won't matter. For Malenia, save using the Ironjar until second phase, after you avoid the first flower. Then stand there and melt her. Waterfowl? Take it to the face, and heal through it.

For Malenia there is a cool and consistent strat for dodging the clone attack:
1. roll the first two clones backwards
2. roll the third clone forward and keep walking forward
3. do not roll the forth! it will pass over your head. As soon as it passes over you, roll (you will evade the fifth this way)
4. look up at Malenia and roll as she attacks you
As much as I don't like the fact that this strat is impossible to guess intuitively looking at the move, at least it exists.
Cool strat but outdated, the close application strat is more effective and you’ll 100% avoid every time

So, if you've been wondering whether it's worth putting the extra time and effort into making these build guides... well, there's absolutely no need to think about that. Even after 1000+ hours, countless builds and runs, I am learning a lot from you... about writing, storytelling and video editing. And ofc pyro is awesome. Thank you.
If you wanted alternatives to Catch/Black Flame in the early game. Go kill Flying Dragon Agheel. You can buy two flame incantations from the Dragon Cathedral (Dragonflame and Agheel's Flame)
Edit: Through your set up guide, you can also get Frenzied Flame and Whirl, O Flame so you can also use them along with flame sling which You can buy at Roundtable.

He probably didn’t use the dragon ones because they’re Dragon Communion incants, not pyro spells
If you didn't want to use Catch Flame. Near Adan's Evergaol in Liurnia there's a camp with a bunch of Fire Monks where you can find their Prayer Book. With that you can buy "O, Flame" which is essentially a Heavy Catch Flame, and Surge, O Flame which is the Fire Surge spell from Dark Souls.

This is the first time I've watched your channel and I have to say, I'm loving the combination of a build guide and playthrough.
I think my favorite part of your videos is the fact that you honestly show your deaths and mistakes despite being a veteran player. I had a feeling the flame tear avatar was going to one shot you once you said “don’t be greedy.” I was like “oh he’s dea…. Yup.” Your build guides continuously give me inspiration to log back on Elden Ring. You are one of the key content creators that are holding my sanity until we get some DLC or a new patch buffing and nerfing weapons. Context: I’ve already done a Flame God build but I still watched your video even though I did practically all of the same steps… even in non flame-centric faith runs. You inspired me to dust off my str/fth build. I’ve been wanting to use Cranial Vessel Candlestand. Perfect excuse to do so.
Technically speaking (this is what I am doing in MY current playthrough), you can use Fire Monk/Giant incantations as well as Frenzied Flame spells AND finally Bloodflame spells. They are all incantations that deal solely fire damage (and some status buildup) so they combined make for an excellent fire incantations build.
I had the same save file issue on my ps4 and lost all of my 500+ hours. Lost motivation to play until after completing demon souls. I always do pyro builds my first play through on any souls game and this guide is incredible! The music behind is so epic! Thank you for taking the time to make this. I wish you the best!

Edit: whoa, now that I’m most of the way through, what happened to your save is crazy! I would smash my console, LOL. Sometimes the Xbox has trouble loading saves and you have to go into the menu and “quit completely” and launch fresh and that fixes it. IDK about the PS…
This happens every so often for me on XB1. Closing out the game completely then reloading has worked every time.

Just found an easy way to cheese the dragonic tree sentinel if anyone is worried about getting one shot or struggling. You’re gonna use frenzied burst at range to bring him down.
1. Lure him towards the cliff just east of the castle, past the trees. he should stop a little bit past the tree line.
2. Buff up with golden vow, flame grant me strength, and howl of shabiri along with your physick flask (I run faith-knot crystal tear and flame shrouding cracked tear)
3. Hit him once with frenzied burst, he’ll immediately call down lightning. Don’t go for a second frenzied burst, just dodge the lightning or you’ll take massive damage/possible one shot.
4. He’ll then start to “reset” and slowly make his way back to the original boss place. Nuke him with as many frenzied burst as you can. It’ll get him to a quarter healthish, maybe less depending on the level.
5. Find a time between horse fireballs and lightning dodges to hit him with a few more frenzied burst at distance. Don’t get greedy.
6. Ez dub.
Edit: I am now realizing you can cheese a lot of bosses with frenzied burst… good lord.
I love the content, it's always fun to watch. I have two suggestions for potential build guides. 1. Death Poker build, this weapon I have heard and seen is nuts and would be a choice video to make. 2. Not sure if you would do this a Lvl 1 guide.

This was a blast to play-a-long with. Great job getting to the Mountaintop to pick up Fire Giant spells and still having plenty of content left to use 'em on. I'm looking forward to what you put together next.
Finally, always been a dedicated pyromancer. I was curious what you would do with this. My main build is a pyromancer themselves, and quite similar to this. I've taken it to ng+4, staying at level 150 and it's still going strong. I've added another Giant's seal for when I cast burn o flame or giantsflame, but still have erdtree on for catch flame. It's my favorite build in elden ring.
I feel like you have to look at Flame of the Fell God in the exact same way as Ranni’s Dark Moon even though it’s even slower. Setup move ONLY. I’ve had decent success with fell god when using it this way. You can usually get a charged and uncharged Giantsflame before Fell God bursts.
The editing put into the intro cinematics is incredible, as always.

one of the reasons i love your content is that it shows that you can make a crazy op gamebreaking build using some unorthodox weapons and gear instead of just using the same things everyone always uses its really cool to see stuff like this
Great video! I use the Cranial Vessel Candlestand on my pyro character. The ash of war attack shreds a lot of bosses and enemies.

Flame of the fell god is way better if you combo it with other incants. If you just stand there after casting its useless. At the beginning of a fight or during an opening, cast it, then spam catch flame or another incant, and they will stack together for massive damage. I killed Morgott mid phase transition like that. Also,since bosses input read they only dodge the initial cast, not when goes toward them. Its really only good against tougher enemies and bosses it also knocks down low poise bosses like misbegotten or Malenia and stunlocks shield crucible knight because they stand there and block it. It's not the best incant, but it's B or C tier and needs some buffs.

I've been loving the content for a while and I know its similar to this build but I would absolutely love a samus type build with the Grafted Dragon from Godrick, Just fire punching people with your cannon and doing big dam. I love the weapon and never see anyone talk about it and would love to see your build on it!
I like how you start with a new character every build. Thats how i like to play. I always start as wretch tho because thats the most fun part for me, going around gathering everything at low level starting with nothing

Tried this one as well. I did the Leydell elevator skip, went straight for Morgot, then got the incantations. In the end, I just did Fire Giant, Maliketh, Horah Loux, and Rada/Beast without entering a single castle. Fun. Thanks.
Hey just so you know you dont actually need to get the valkyries prosthesis for flocks canvas, you just need to meet millicent at the erdtree gazing hills and then kill her.

Could you perhaps make a build on one of my fav elden ring weapons being The fallen starbeast jaw. very fun and the build is super unique and has 2 really cool build paths, into strength and into int, some cool cheeses and could builds, fun stagger and funnier with mimic. If anyone’s struggling with the Caelid mini tree lad if you get flame sling from the round table you can shoot him from a distance and run to the minor erd tree catacomb grace.His annoying magic bullets won’t be able to hit you, and once he de-aggros you can run back out and repeat

Because Elden Ring has such a wide variety of fire spells, I think the idea of a Pyromancer who wields Blackflame, Bloodflame, Frenzied Flame, and Giantsflame is very attractive.

You can cheese Commander Niall not per se more easily but you can lure him out to the exploding rot pit/bubble things he’ll take damage from the burst and from standing in that spot.

You can also pull that putrid avatar tree in calied to the left of the tree hit and walk away a bit and he'll keep turning around so you can kill him without being hit. Flame fling kills him easy enough from the distance
Fun tip, the easiest way to kill eard tree avatars is plain old fire pots. Alternatively, throw an oil pot and then hit with any single instance of fire damage for a significant damage bonus. Kale wasn't kidding when he recommends the crafting kit. Hrm... Fun idea for a challenge run. Become the Jar Wight and destroy the game with the crafiting kit!
For those who don't know or have noticed, you can use the same gold-pickled fowl foot to kill Greyoll and the Night's Cavalry. Just advance the time to the night near Fort Faroth and when you kill Greyoll use the gold-pickled fowl foot and make your way to Lenne's Rise but don't use fast travel. One more thing, don't use the Morning Star to hit on the wall in the bridge or you fall. 150k easy.
Do you want to get revenge on Elden Ring? Head into the dark side and create a bleed build and absolutely destroy any boss.

Dude I fucking feel you with that save file. I was 5 hours deep into a new poison build setup and it literally deleted everything.
