you have to bleed some air out of your scuba tank every month anyway so maybe if you bleed them into the HPA bottle you wouldn't loose any money on the 10 dollars it costs to fill your scuba tank.

I’ve seen people try to buy the adapter and put it on a tire pump but that won’t work because those don’t generate high pressure air. Hope that helps!

Hydraulic refers to how the compressor is powered. It would really depend as to whether you can connect an air hose to it and how much pressure it produces. Most hydraulic compressors are made for vehicles and machines, I strongly recommend not using this type of compressor on an air tank as the pressure may cause it to explode.

No that’s not true. You only need to get it tested every 5 years if it is a carbon fiber tank to make sure there’s no cracks, so it doesn’t explode under pressure. You don’t have to get it tested if it’s an aluminum tank because it doesn’t crack like carbon fiber. Tanks have a life span of 15 years and there is a born date on all of them.
most oiled compressors... in fact ALL oiled compressors will put small amounts of oil into the air line.. that is why they use desiccant air purifying systems. Build up some oil in a 4500 tank and BOOM. Sounds freaky to be doing htis.
Nah it’s fine, there is a filer for the oil and water and I’ve upgraded it. Been using this three years steady now with no issues. It’s fairly safe it would break down and won’t start before it explodes.
@@theultimaterental Well I hope it works out for you. I do automotive painting and had to create a massive oil and water purifying system. The only thing that really stops oil is desiccant beads. Was this compressor made for filling tanks? I have never seen one quite like it.
Yes you can use a premium oil / water filter that has 4 different filters including disicant beads. The best thing to do is fill a full scuba tank and then use air from the storage tank until it’s empty then refill again
No the pump and cord are waterproof, no air actually goes through the pump all it does is pump water into the hose so it can cool the engine while it’s running. Does that make sense?
No unfortunately those only go up to a couple hundred psi. you need something that goes to at least 3000psi. The options in the video are the only options sorry. Thanks so much for watching!
if you have a steady source of water like a hose that you connect it to it is much easier. There are other cooling methods but they are large and expensive. I suggest only doing this to fill up a big scuba tank once every month or so. then you have air ready any time

Like riding a bike you never forget!
Is it true you have to replace your Air Tank every five years? And if yes why??
No that’s not true. You only need to get it tested every 5 years if it is a carbon fiber tank to make sure there’s no cracks, so it doesn’t explode under pressure. You don’t have to get it tested if it’s an aluminum tank because it doesn’t crack like carbon fiber. Tanks have a life span of 15 years and there is a born date on all of them.
@@theultimaterental thanks for the info
most oiled compressors... in fact ALL oiled compressors will put small amounts of oil into the air line.. that is why they use desiccant air purifying systems.
11:15 putting the pump in water aren't you suppose to fill it with air not to mention the plugs aren't even 3 prong what the
No the pump and cord are waterproof, no air actually goes through the pump all it does is pump water into the hose so it can cool the engine while it’s running. Does that make sense?
@@theultimaterental ohhh i see yeah now that makes sense
Can I give ur channel an shout out ?
Sure! any support is greatly appreciated ❤️
@@theultimaterental alrighty done
Can i refill my hpa tank with a normal compressor? The one you use to fill your tires
No unfortunately those only go up to a couple hundred psi. you need something that goes to at least 3000psi. The options in the video are the only options sorry. Thanks so much for watching!
Looks like a lot of work just to get air can't you just buy a air compressor and not deal with the ice water
if you have a steady source of water like a hose that you connect it to it is much easier. There are other cooling methods but they are large and expensive. I suggest only doing this to fill up a big scuba tank once every month or so. then you have air ready any time
Canadia is not a real place. Finally someone tells the truth
