Six years later after those failed attempts, in 2003 and travelling in Sydney, in a small CD shop, I found the only Oasis CD I never had... that Japanese only Don’t Go Away single!! It was such a thrilling moment!! With the CD in hand, and eight years after I had first heard about the song, I waited a few more hours until it was dark and I could sit on Coogee beach in silence. I listened to it on my CD Walkman, and cried for it’s beauty. To then hear Liam’s version another sixteen years on is so touching. Blessings to Noel and Liam for their art and brilliance.

Mate, don’t try and conflate discrediting with him doing his job. His job was rhythm, and the only person you need to hear any credit from that matters are the band members. Noel Gallagher is quoted saying “bonehead was the heart and spirit of Oasis” … like and respect him all you want, but he’s never been seen as less than what he was. An absolute legend.
I hate these brothers for denying us their music. I have to be honest they belong together for the sake of the world. It’s a shame Noel can’t get over his jealousy and Liam can’t get over his ego. Together they are the greatest band in the world alone it’s just sad for us fans. That being said this was incredible performance. Love you Liam!
I think there's something very nice about Liam finally singing this song live with an older, more worn and weathered voice. It's almost as if he waited until he could sing it like this. It really adds something to the song that he wouldn't have been able to add at his peak.
