PS isn't the flashiest rate, but it translates well if you get your certs (PHR) while you're in. As a PS, you can go Federal HR, which arguably has the most opportunity on the Feds right now, aside from IT. Of course, you could go Admin, but as an HR Specialist you have more promotion opportunity and you generally make more money

My job was O.S. not much do in port but they made us stay every day till 4:00. I learned how to look busy in the afternoon when thete was nothing to do.
Yeah, former OS here going all the way back to my Honorable Discharge in 1980. Even way back then, we struggled in port to ‘look busy.’ Luckily, I was in charge of the secret safe, so anytime there was ‘look busy’ work to be done, I could simply say, ‘ I’ve gotta get some secret safe work to do.’ In my opinion, OS was the best sea duty rate in the navy, but a struggle in port. There was only so much one could do by grabbing a foxtail to look busy.
Hello. I just want to add to the AZ part. We are not only on carriers . I have deployed on the Reagan ( CVN 76) twice and the Makin Island (LHD 8). Also we are in Squadrons and FRCS.. In a lot of commands there is an AZ for each work center 400-900 divisions. We are the paper work side of aviation. There's actually a lot more to it but I just wanted to expand a little on the AZ part. Great video though.! -Az2(AW/SW) Figgs.
Hey what’s up I just put on Az3 going to the uss Ronald Reagan. Do you have any background on what it’s like there or anything I should know before going and what to expect?
Thank you very much! I like your friendly and informal style. Ignore the negative comments. It is much harder to make these videos than one might think.
Joining the Navy Very Soon. Haven’t picked my Job yet. Leaning towards PS, LS, AZ & NC. Your videos are sooo hopeful & Informative ❤️ Thanks So Muchhh for taking out time to help others. You Da Goat 🐐
Prior Service army logistics specialists,Unit Supply, and Culinary Specialists. I am now working on my process with the navy reserves coming in as a LS2
Everybody should look into the MC rate. It's the most overlooked and most hated on rate in the fleet. They walk around, take pictures, make videos, social media posts, posters, and even a TV show just for the ship during deployment!
As a YN i can say she's right on some of the things we do. We do Correspondence, Evals, and Awards. We also handle paperwork such as transfer and separation paperwork as the PS's do depending if you are in a smaller command. So really we go hand and hand. We push all paperwork through the command, or department. We work more with the chain of command to route everything before it goes to a PS to get it into your record. If there isn't a PS or a LN in your command and your the YN, you will most likely take on those duties. I would say from my experience, ranking up hasn't been to hard. Work hard, study, and constantly learn. Grow in your leadership skills and also stay connected to your community. There's much you can do to become successful regardless of what rate you are! Great video!
Agree! As a former YN, I can say either I've done it all (YN, PS and LN duties) or I've supervised my YN's in doing those duties, so I had to at least be familiar with them. I loved being the Legal Clerk/Officer, probably more than my own rate..lol. I did a lot of personnel security, arranging travel/processing travel claims and inspecting other commands' admin depts, as well. Retired at 21 yrs, 3 yrs short of my HYT, but when you know it's time to go...even if promotion is on the horizon, it's best to go. Retired 5 years now and enjoying it greatly ❤️
@@tammyt8306Same here. I retired in 2005 as a YN1 with 20 years which was the HYT back then but they moved the HYT back a couple years in 2005 but I was ready to go. I did various sea and shore duties including OPS YN in VFA 151 during Desert Shield/Storm. Would’ve liked to have done a tour as Engineering Logroom YN but it never happened. Been retired almost 19 years and it still seems like it all happened last week, the time does fly and before you know it, the ride is over.
You sure do love paperwork. I was a Quartermaster submarines which no longer exists. I became a Boatswain’s Mate in the merchant marine which is called able seaman. If I had to do it over again my top five rates would be: Aereographer’s Mate [1]; Air Traffic Controller [2]; Culinary Specialist [3]; Ship’s serviceman [4]; Operations Specialist [5]. The cushiest job in the navy, so far as I could tell, was air wing weatherman or Aereographer. For outside employment with the federal government I chose air traffic controller. I chose culinary because in my opinion being chief cook on a merchant vessel is the #1 job in the merchant marine. Then as an ex-QM who hated submarines I’d gravitate to OS since as an AB in the merchant marine I spent lots of time when on watch staring at the collision avoidance radar. Then finally I was a barber for 20 years so I could be ship’s barber on a large vessel without even bothering to wake up for the haircuts, so easy is hair cutting for me.
This is the person I wanna talk to . Im currently a barber as a civilian . I want to join the military for the benefits . Could I get in touch wit you to get some tips and some kind of guidance when enlisting .
@@NotSongha We can correspond here. I was a barber for 20 years and if you’re comfortable with that I’d recommend enlisting in the navy for 3 years if possible as a ship’s serviceman which is the rate which specializes in barbering, laundry afloat, PX retail shops afloat, and then for shore duty frequently gets assigned to policing navy housing with the master at arms division. If they don’t have reserve 3 years active duty enlistments available then you may have to enlist in the regular navy for 4 years to get rated as anything other than a cook or a boatswain’s mate. I would stay away from ground forces such as army and marines. I would also stay away from the Coast Guard. The Air Force might be good but they’re more uptight than than the navy. The Air Force might be good if you want to be a military policeman though. The Air Force has the nicest bases and the best food typically. Whatever you do don’t join the navy and volunteer for sub duty. Once you’ve volunteered for sub duty you’re stuck and that’s it. If you’re interested in learning either construction or heavy equipment operator the navy SEABEEs could be good but that’s at least a 4 year enlistment. Air traffic controller could be good but that’s a 5 year enlistment. Write me back with any further questions. I can’t put my email address online or they’ll just take it down.
Seabees rates are in demand and transfer to outstanding money making civilian jobs. Pick the EO, EA, OR CE Rates. Seabees...we build, we fight, can do!! Also, if you don't want to ship out on a ship or on the water, seabees stay dry except for when it rains.
@@Coo1St0ry still enlist, get through boots and your respective "A" school. You should be able to cross rate whenever they have an option available. Remember, even if you're haze gray and under way, you are still a part of the greatest navy in the world. Also, scoring very high on your ASVAB (particularly in mathematics is crucial) will help you get a better selection of job opportunities.
IC And ET attend some of lots of the same C schools etc. It's a combined rate. And yes with either of the two rates you will be loved by most, envied by some and hated by few. They hate because they think all these two rates do is skate, but that's far from the truth, it is just that most areas these two fates work in most of the crew does not have access to and is not allowed.
@@kaybee19ks ICs are similar to EMs where they are electricians. ICs work on very specific things rather than the whole of ships power like EMs. Also you will work with us ETs but we are NOT a combined rate at all.
1. ND, Navy Diver 2. EM, Electricians Mate 3. CT, Cryptologic Technician 4. AWS, Naval Aircrewman Helicopter 5. SB, Special Warfare Boat Operator/ SWCC Special Warfare Combat Crewman I was EMFN on USS Peleliu LHA-5, 2001-2002 and EM3 at MDSU 1 Det 1 2002-2005.
I was an EM on three ships back in the 1960s. The EM has perhaps more access to the entire ship than any other rating, with your tool belt on you can go almost anywhere. The work took me to the top of the mast out at sea (aircraft warning lights) and to the bottom of the engine rooms. Some work very difficult and unpleasant, some very pleasant and exciting, all great memories...The training/knowledge and work experience was extremely valuable throughout my life...
so i got an 89 on my asvab so i qualify for pretty much everything and i didn’t expect to score that high so now i have a lot more options to explore lmao
I’m in talks in with a navy recruiter rn. I did a practice test last week and got a 40. Today I just went and did paperwork, signing all the “don’t do this don’t do that” “ID, birth certificate” stuff. I’m sure I’ll get in once everything really starts meps type stuff. I wanna score high on my actual asvab. Any recommendations on what parts of the test to specifically study for??
I was a PN in the Navy. That rating has changed drastically over the years because you are new required to deal with pay matters which used to be handled by the Disbursing Clerk. They did away with Disbursing Clerks and gave that job to the PN rating. They changed the title of the PN rating to PS{Personnel Specialist}.
@@josephkelleher8820 They merged DK and PN into PS, they didn’t get rid of DK and give that job to PNs. Long before the merger, personnelmen were already creating pay and other personnel documents and handing off to the disbursing clerks to send off the ship. They were also in two different departments to avoid conflict of interest. Now they’re one in the same similar to the way it was before PSDs were created when every shore command had their own disbursing personnel like onboard ships and it wasn’t uncommon for “friends” to get preferential treatment because there was no oversight in place to prevent it.
I’ll say PRs too. Very chill, you make good money when you get out, and it’s just a great rate. The biggest problem you’ll have is the ignorance of your fellow shipmates thinking the sewing machine is for their uniforms to get fixed and not to fix the survival equipment of the pilots and aircrew BUT it’s not your job and you don’t have to do it if you don’t want and there’s room for advancement
One of the best ratings for shipboard service is EM (Electricians Mate), there's perhaps no other rating that gives more access to the entire ship. The training and job experience is extremely valuable on the outside and the variety of shipboard jobs from the top of the mast to the bottom of the engine rooms make for great memories...
Hello, would you say that EM A school is more hands on because I’m really thinking about switching rates from HM to EM, because being a Corpsman is really not working out for me
@@tncg2302Electrician's work is VERY hands on and varied, of course it can vary depending on the type/size of the ship. I'm sure it's quite different now from the 1960s when I was in...
Retired Navy here, I always tell everyone who wants to be police as a civilian to become a Legalman and NOT a Military Policeman. MPs deal with a better class of criminal in the Military and it is totally different from from the civilian job. But, cops always need to deal with legal paperwork.
TAR/Selres aircrew, c40 platform Occasional vacation missions Awesome mission areas NO SHIP LIFE Loads of per diem. You can make over 100k a year as an e4. Flight suits. Direct civilian job opportunities (Airplane mech, loadmaster jobs) Super fast advancement. People I went to a school with got to 2nd class in the first 2 years after a school.
I took the picat when I told the petty officer I didn't feel ready and he insisted for me to take it I got a 44 and I only qualified for ABF, ABE, ABH, AO, BM, CS, EN, MM, And PR. Was only ok with PR and CS, but I was told to choose rates, but didn't feel comfortable with the other 3 rates, cause they are hard labor jobs and risky at the same time with aviation, so I decided to retake the asvan a month later and unfortunately scored a 30, so I qualified for ABF, ABE, ABH, AO, BM, And PR. I'm only fine with PR, but not the rest. So I decided to take it a third time, but was informed by the recruiter that as per their supervisor I'm not allowed to retest again, cause I scored lower. If I would have scored higher they would allow me to retest, but since I scored lower I'm not allow to retest, it's a new policy. I think I'm banned for three years until they switch management. So my desires of becoming a sailor won't be happening
I wish you would’ve stayed with your original score cause now they basically screwed you and they should’ve told you a month of studying for the asvab is not enough. However if i was you id reach out to a different branch (not to join) to ask them if you could take the picat again you might have to play along with going with another branch then just switch back to navy but find new recruiters. And definitely take the time to study, its your job on the line here, 3-4 months
@@strawberrymilk4497 I was told to choose 5 rates when going to meps was only ok with 2 rates not the other 3, that's how come I decided to retake the exam again, but unfortunately scored lower, but now I've heard that to study for the asvab all I need to study for is the 4 core subjects that arithmetic reasoning, paragraph comprehension, word knowledge, and math knowledge account a lot more for the overall score. That general science and electronics and all those don't account for much, so who knows.
@@strawberrymilk4497 I'm 34 all I have is army and airforce. I'm at the max age limit for the army, if I was to join I'll be surrounded with a bunch of youngsters and I will be the oldest recruit, how embarrassing for me. Airforce I heard they are picky with their applicants. I really wanted Navy. Who knows what could happen.
@@rodolfomorenoiii135 yes those are the main subjects, you could still go Navy if you want to but they’d probably tell you it’s best to pick the undes rate because of the 30. Airforce dropped their AFQT test scores to 31 so low score jobs in the airforce is security forces and admin. So it doesn’t hurt to reach out you just gotta gotta study. Klan Academy is great for the math portion. Army’s age limit is 35 so try reaching out to them too. And if your heart is set on the navy then go undes and you’ll learn different rates and pick the one you like…
Also if you go navy with one of those jobs you don’t like after 2 years of active service you can switch your job (reclass) to another one and you’ll have the option to retake the ASVAB and at that point there’s no punishment cause ur already in.
Why do a top 5 rates if 4 of them are admin ratings? That could’ve all been in the number 2 spot. The best transferability to the civilian world in my opinion is below. 1. IT 2. Trade rates (Electrical/ Mechanical) 3. Admin rates (PS,YN,LN,NC,AZ) 4. LS (Logistics) 5. Anything requiring Top Secret clearance (CT,IS,etc.)
1. IT - civilian translation is none really. You'll want to get AWS, cloud, cybersecruity, or some other certificates on the very low end to get hired anywhere in the civilian world for IT. Coding bootcamps (with a good reputation and high post-grad hiring rate) or college are the best ways to make money in IT after leaving the Navy. It's difficult otherwise and chances are slim. However, Google has Apprenticeship Programs for IT-related careers but I forgot the stipulations. I do know you can not have a degree though. I think that's the best bet for anyone Navy IT to civilian with no education. 2. PS - civilian translation is "Human Resources Manager" or related titles. You may be able to swing something paying well, but no promises. HR Managers/Specialists in corporate typically require a Bachelor's. However, some jobs, especially on the federal side, accept experience as an education substitution and pay well depending on your rank when you get out. However, the government doesn't start paying well until you get to like G-12 and it's way easier to get to G-12 with a degree. YN - civilian translation is "Executive Assistant" or related titles (if you get out and look for Administrative Assistant jobs or present yourself as an AA as opposed to an EA, you're going to miss out on money...so you were an EA). Same deal as PS, but EA's typically require a Bachelor's to Master's and are paid well out of the gate. However, you may be able to obtain an EA role without education if you market yourself well. 3. LN - civilian translation is "Paralegal," "Legal Analyst," or related titles. I'm being liberal with Legal Analyst, but you may be able to swing it. LNs get Paralegal cert/education, so this is probably best aligned with actually getting a good paying job in the civilian world. 4. AZ - civilian translation is "Aviation Administrator," "Repairs Administrator" or related titles. I don't know personally about this, because I do not work in an industry where I'd ever come in contact with these folks. Probably the lowest paying unless you transition to Air Traffic Controller or Chief of Staff in some aviation capacity, which you need education for. - I'm a former AO, three years separated, Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, current MBA student, and transitioning Legal Analyst (yes, I've done A LOT since being out). So, you can do whatever you want with education...and nearly nothing with only your Naval experience unless you plan on making no money or going to get a license/education/vocation in some field. Civilians prefer formal education and experience over experience. Good luck to everyone!
I’m an AZ and I would say we deal with record keeping on aircraft logbooks. Avg salary for civilians working for companies like Boeing or Lockheed Martin would be $50k-$70k. We can find jobs as Technical Publication Specialists ($60k plus depending on what company). Our biggest money maker is Database system administrators (DBAs) starting at $90k plus for aviation companies or any at that. But always best to get a degree while you’re in to ramp up the resume.
Bro number 1 you’re lying about IT and you know it. I was a 25B information technology specialist in the army and there are plenty of positions for people who don’t have certifications and degrees in IT just experience stop speaking on what you don’t know. I easily got jobs out of service
@@glo.hardie and let's be clear--we're talking about gainful employment. Not all 50k/year jobs. While slipping one in for someone who doesn't care about salary is fine, let's not go for bottom of the barrel income jobs. I don't ever consider those in any conversation, as you could work at Target and make 50k. So, you being in "IT" doesn't really pay off atp.
this is fucking annoying people will say these jobs are good and transferable but then others will come out and say the complete opposite of literally every damn job in the military

FC's maintain and operate weapon systems. We are responsible for the ships defensive and offensive capabilities. If you look at a destroyer for example, a ship like that is built for us. @AllAboutBrionna, you are talking about RATINGS not RATES. I was in the Navy 78-83, but I know this hasn't changed. You probably know this, I don't know why you are saying rates instead of ratings. But for the newbies, rate refers to pay grade, like E-1, E-2, etc. Rating refers to one's job, like BM, OS, EW, ET, etc. It's not hard to get this right, but folks were getting this mixed up back in my day, too. But, Brionna, you're teaching recruits and civilians about the Navy. You should probably get it straight. Besides this nitpicky pedantry, you're doing an outstanding job. ---from an old-time OS.

I notice you didn't mention any Nuclear fields. For promotion, nothing in the navy is faster but you will also work you're your tale off in Navy schools and on the job. You will have to pass a pretest before you can even apply and you better be excellent in higher level math skills. In other words, way above your average H.S. Grad. It's hard for the Navy to even keep these people in service, even with bloated reenlistment bonuses. In this field I've even seen "slick arm chiefs" (no hash marks).
Also should have Chemistry & Physics. I think people who have taken college level courses in these subjects with a 3.0 or higher would have the best chance of getting in.
I was AZ !! Best rate ever ! 94-99! Old school Navy . Served. On the Peleliu! Very good info but AZ also goes on LHA ,LHD class ships with Marine aircraft like the Peleliu! Your right about advancement with AZ , its tough ! I made 3rd class in my final year !
It's about 50/50. Half of the time PRs are with fleet units (sea duty) and half of the time at shore stations over the course of a 20-year naval career. That is assuming you are going active duty. If you go the reserve route, shore stations probably your entire time. Are you wanting to be on a ship or would you rather be on the shore?
Do you know a uber that can pick me up from Tambla where i moved to , to see about getting enlisted to the US Navy for a career it will be very important at this time.
Good information hey I was wandering if you have an idea of where most of the rates you have mentioned are station ? For example are PS usually stationed onboard a ship
Heyy! Thank you so much, and yess the ones that I named all will definitely see a ship. (especially on sea duty) and you can also be at a squadron like I am!
Most ratings have sea duty, it’s the nature of the Navy. Some have more sea duty and some more shore duty, it all depends on the rating. Seabees have very little sea duty unless ferrying cargo and equipment onboard ships to overseas construction sites. They do have a deployment schedule but from their homebase to an overseas site for months and back to home base. They’re the Navy’s version of civilian construction companies and that’s what they do on deployments. You don’t have to be a Seabee to be assigned to a unit or battalion because they need support ratings like the various logistics, medical, religious, admin, and other ratings for supplies, food, pay, paperwork, healthcare, spiritual needs, etc like a ship or regular shore command.
Just took the practice asvab today and scored a 37. What is the required score to be eligible for SeaBee rates? I’m very interested in the CE, BU, and SW rates. Are you allowed to keep retesting until you’re eligible for those rates? Thanks!
37 is pretty good on the practice test. People usually score higher on the actual asab. You can retake it, but you would go through the whole meps process again but you can and you have to wait a minute. I scored 30 on the practice but got a 68 on the actual one. I got AC and i leave in 3 days :D
Yess so you have to be that rate for atleast two years before you can even consider switching or converting to another rate. Then it depends on if your rate is overmanned or undermanned. If it’s overmanned meaning “A LOT of ppl” then it’ll be easier in oppose to if it’s undermanned, then you’ll probably be stuck. But I have plenty of CS friends. It’s not too bad!

I’m prior service as well for the Army as an 88M. I’m looking into going to the Air Force or Navy so I can finish what I started back in 2014.
Did you go on deployment alot?
Thank you!! ❤️❤️
@@tammyt8306I just got to the fleet as a YN and tbh I know nothing at all so I’m kind of worried

If y’all ain’t informed, pick IC, Don’t get confused with IT. Different advancement quotas, but ic is a dope rate.
Is this rate hard? I’m going as IC
@@kaybee19ks ICs are similar to EMs where they are electricians. ICs work on very specific things rather than the whole of ships power like EMs.
Also you will work with us ETs but we are NOT a combined rate at all.

1. ND, Navy Diver
2. EM, Electricians Mate
3. CT, Cryptologic Technician
4. AWS, Naval Aircrewman Helicopter
5. SB, Special Warfare Boat Operator/ SWCC Special Warfare Combat Crewman

My friend can I ask if this is a good path to find a job on the civilian world after ? Thank you in advance
What about IC

Great job, Brionna, on your videos! You give lots of great info ❤ At shore commands, many times the YN/PS jobs cross .....Retired YN here!
Thank you thank you so so much! 💗💗

@@strawberrymilk4497
I was told to choose 5 rates when going to meps was only ok with 2 rates not the other 3, that's how come I decided to retake the exam again, but unfortunately scored lower, but now I've heard that to study for the asvab all I need to study for is the 4 core subjects that arithmetic reasoning, paragraph comprehension, word knowledge, and math knowledge account a lot more for the overall score. That general science and electronics and all those don't account for much, so who knows.

I'm 34 all I have is army and airforce.
I just passed MEPs and I chose it as my navy job

AZ is admin for all aircraft platforms as a whole not just aircraft carriers.
Why do a top 5 rates if 4 of them are admin ratings? That could’ve all been in the number 2 spot. The best transferability to the civilian world in my opinion is below.
1. IT
2. Trade rates (Electrical/ Mechanical)
3. Admin rates (PS,YN,LN,NC,AZ)
4. LS (Logistics)
5. Anything requiring Top Secret clearance (CT,IS,etc.)
I ship out in march as a HT very excited
How was A school
@@glo.hardie name the plenty of positions that require no certs or degree. That would be great. At least five, for the people who are ITs.
Thanks for the video. My recruiter mentioned LN to me because I have a B.A Paralegal Studies I just need to do well on the ASVAB to get the officer rank.

I thought about being CS for Culinary but I feel like I want to be a LN tho
Do you know a uber that can pick me up from Tambla where i moved to , to see about getting enlisted to the US Navy for a career it will be very important at this time.
Enlisted already with LS shipping for my boot camp in March, and am really nervous 😢
LS is a good rate! you’ll be fine!
Would you say the quota for Legalman is similar to the others? Or do they have better opportunity to rank up faster?
Good information hey I was wandering if you have an idea of where most of the rates you have mentioned are station ? For example are PS usually stationed onboard a ship
Heyy! Thank you so much, and yess the ones that I named all will definitely see a ship. (especially on sea duty) and you can also be at a squadron like I am!
@@Brionnasonline okay great thx 🙏🏾
My daughter is thinking about AC is that a good one?
Im going in as an AC and I only hear great things about it from sailors in the fleet
Is that in order of what you think is best?
so .. jobs that don't require physical labor ... got it
Lol
Just took the practice asvab today and scored a 37. What is the required score to be eligible for SeaBee rates? I’m very interested in the CE, BU, and SW rates. Are you allowed to keep retesting until you’re eligible for those rates? Thanks!
37 is pretty good on the practice test. People usually score higher on the actual asab. You can retake it, but you would go through the whole meps process again but you can and you have to wait a minute. I scored 30 on the practice but got a 68 on the actual one. I got AC and i leave in 3 days :D

Hey what website and where did you take your ASVAB , practice test ?
And also if I pick a job I don’t want how long would it take me to re class because meps told me 2 years but other people are telling me different
Everyone from the baby be complaining about they’re rates I don’t want a chill rate I want something active
How many deployments have you been on as a PS?
I heard really fast and 2 years and was like 🤨🧐
I was wondering if you being a PS or just administration jobs in general, is it manageable having that job and going back to college ?
Yes it’s highly manageable! It’s a few people I work aside that are taking college courses as well!
What’s the best navy base?
I’m non U.S. citizen and got 33 on Asvab what good jobs can you guys recommend, I’m kinda interested in LS than getting any other unpleasant jobs.
Help pls especially non U.S. citizens 🙏🏽
Hey! Tomorrow I’m uploading a video that’ll probably help with your decision so stay tuned! this is the channel for you! I love helping you guys! 🫶🏽

I hear that undes is pretty cool bro. You get a lot of moneys 😂 jk jk
I’m an MA, it’s pretty chill.

I ship out Jan 9th as an MA
Religious Program Specialists where you at?
Can you choose some jobs that you don’t have to have a high asvab score for. These jobs I will never qualify for …
My asvab score wasn’t really high at all 😅 & I still got a good rate. The jobs you get if you score super low aren’t really nice jobs to have in my opinion. Just do your best in every subject when taking the test.
I got a 70 on the picat want a good job to build a career outside the navy
Do PS get deployed a lot?
Everybody can deployed alot…
I would think pharmacist tech would be easy.
Hello, what are the navy rates that is shore duty? Thank u
Air Force jobs are all shore based.
I qualified for yn, Im really considering it
I see they merged DK with PN and now called PS. I was a DK.
what about AT or AE do you have any thoughts on those.. are they good? i’m not tryna be slavingg lmao like i always hear choose ur rate choose ur fate but idk how life for at or ae would be
Those are TWO great rates as well! Especially AT. I’ll do some research on them and add them to my part 2! I never hear anything bad about those two rates.
@@Brionnasonline Okay thank you! hearing that eased my mind alittle lol cause i didn’t really get to choose when i went to meps and when i went i didn’t know like i could leave without signing if i didn’t wanna sign so i just been tryna figure out as much as i can cause the rate i got was AV and that’s either AT or AE so thank you for the response!
You are so welcome! I’m glad that I could help. lmk if you have any other questions!
ATs work. AEs barely be working unless you're at a helo squadron.
What was your Asvab score?
Hey so I got a 96 in ar and wk I needed a 98 for ma :( can I still get it my recruiter don’t wanna send me to mepes because my mind is set for ma but it’s. A 50/50 shot should I retest ?
I was off by one point, I got a 97 🤦♂️🤦♂️
I ship out next week for basic, going in as a BM…any insight on that job?
Good luck bro
Can you let me know how it went

How about Corpsman?
I'm 34, so I'm running out of time, had really wanted to join at this time, I could still enlist and sworn in with the rates they offered me, but I don't feel comfortable with them except for PR. So that's bad news for me.
Enlistment age has been raised to 42

I can't retest for the asvab until they switch management, I could still enlist, but I don't feel comfortable with those rates offered to me based on my score
What’s about HM
HM is great if you’re interested in the medical field! The advancement quotas aren’t the best so when it comes to advancing you have to really put in that work! It’s a great rate to crossover into civilian world ofcourse.
my top 5 is ctt ctr cti ctm ctn
