Yeah so you get the game (60), 9 x 15 access (135) and in-game currency (125) = $300 So what is the other 75 for? Honestly, I would never consider pre-ordering something that isn't even remotely close to being finished and on which no reviewer has made any content. But I would consider getting a pack of multiple hundreds of dollars if that amounted to 100% playtime with a discount, so at least two and a half years for that price.

5:38 In the options menu 5th keybind from the top. "Toggle Turn With Mouse" = NUMPAD ENTER Peon had pressed num pad enter at some point which unlocked the cursor by default. Not too hard to check the options of a game. I have never heard or even played that game but it was really annoying to listen him complain about a fundamental issue of a game which is because he most likely toggled the feature on with a keybind. But in Peons defence the devs should probably turn that keybind off by default.
You know what truly pisses me off about these games? People spent time modeling, texturing, programming, etc. for nothing, some of those features take a lot of work to do. What all these games are lacking is proper game design. Neverwinter is still a nice game tho.
Level 70 is not max level, level has nothing to do with qualifying for content, that depends on "Item Level", in order to queue for specific content, you still need to complete the "Campaigns" in order to unlock those dungeons/that content, which is a time-gated process that can take anywhere from 5 to 10 weeks to completel (unless you also purchase campaign completion tokens for 1 specific character. not account wide unlocks), so for someone who wants to give a "revisited first impression" video, there is a shit ton of money to spend, or time to invest, and it's honestly just not worth his or anyone's time. Major design flaw, but try telling that to the diehard fans who suckle upon the cock of anyone who has the rights to use the D&D franchise.

100% support you going into other genres and just doing videos on anything u feel like :D If you cover a game i like or look forward to, i WILL Watch it.. doesn't matter if it's MMO or not
In Neverwinter, if you play as a DPS the queues take a long time to pop. Your best bet is to try the random trial queue and hope for the best. As for what is the point of boosting to level 70, the trials, dungeons and skirmishes are an account wide unlock. Therefore, if you are a veteran player and want to create another character, you can purchase the level 70 boost because you already have all the content unlock. However, if you are a new player, I do not recommend doing it. To be honest, Neverwinter isn't your typical MMORPG. 80% of the content you can do solo, and the rest are 5 or 10 men groups. Zones can only have 20 to 40 players at the same instance, so you don't really get the *MM* of the ORPG all that much... The good things about the game are the *combat and the lore of D&D.* (I only play for those two reasons, and because of the *friends* that I have made over the years). The *PVP shucks ass,* the drop chances of anything decent are *ridiculously low,* and the game is *HEAVY* pay to win. You can play for free if you want, but it will take *YEARS* to get the bis items and clear the end game dungeons and trials. I have never put a dime in the game, nor I ever will. Just waiting for Ashes of Creation to launch, so I can play a good and true MMORPG again...
I only spend on shit here and there, but anything progression or p2w related never. Got myself a skeletal steed and dragonborn up till now so no regrets
The leveling experience is the most enjoyable part of the game. Once you reach max you are just doing dailies and weeklies forever, to progress at a snail's pace. There are literally so many dailies that you could never complete all in one day. So you have to pick and choose which content you want to progress with. It would take years to complete everything which may sound good to some but it's monotonous. The same exact quests over and over for months. Oh, but of course you can pay real money to complete things.
@@mikekuzmicz8408 Yeah, which is unfortunate because there's a lot of potential otherwise. The combat feels good and even though the graphics are old I think it still looks great in some places.
Menzoberranzan is a city of dark elves (drows) in the D&D lore. it's where Drizzt Do'Urden is from, the main character in the books of R.A. Salvatore. Great books. must read for all D&D fans
Being a MMORPG fan is hard these days. The "golden age" of MMOs is long gone so you can play same MMOs over and over or wait for some "ambitious" MMO in development only to find out it's mediocre at best or completely a scam. When lockdown started I had given a try to Elite Dangerous and I found it very refreshing.
You should try something like Josh Strife where he purposely reviews terrible MMOs, you discover some crazy ideas and executions for video game designs
Josh Strife Hayes? Big fan. It must take a lot out of a person to intentionally review bad games, although some of them do turn out to be "not that bad." Still, like Peon said, after a while it starts to feel like you're just comparing trash to games that are slightly less trash.

@@june_o9 Eh, where to start with your question,? that is the real problem. Basically It comes all to one thing: company's greed well, to keep this short: basically every module forces you to rebuild your character by for example removal of some skills, adding new gear, forcing you to endless grind with stupidly low drop rates (sometimes it takes months to get what you want) etc. All perfectly solvable with you periodically coughing up some extra cash.
Biggest Issue with Never winter nights is the lack of an engaging experiance and how easy the content is, theres very few locations that you cant solo as a dps character, and even less as a paladin or Cleric. The best part is the Raids and dungeons and PvP but you cant really get on those till your in the later levels with abilitys to make you useful in them hence the games massive issue.

Honestly, I would never consider pre-ordering something that isn't even remotely close to being finished and on which no reviewer has made any content.
But I would consider getting a pack of multiple hundreds of dollars if that amounted to 100% playtime with a discount, so at least two and a half years for that price.
I like this video, because it shows me I'm not alone when I have these days. I try a lot of different games just for fun and because I don't like playing only one game for weeks, but some days it just feels like a chore. Then I get mad at myself because I can't seem to enjoy the very thing I've chosen as a hobby and I might even force myself through a game, which is obviously not a good thing. I really like your reviews and the way you approach new games, and to be honest up until now I thought you're just so calm and curious and well-adjusted all the fucking time. Cheers.
“Can’t think of a reason to play this over Albion Online.” 5 seconds later: Albion Online is a fantasy MMORPG
Is Albion good nowadays?
@@marinhrabric6162 Its okay, but I havent played since the fall.
@@marinhrabric6162 Genuinely would consider it top 5-10% of MMO's. It fits a very specific audience though, and doesn't have much for people not in that audience IMO, WoW has a lot for different types of players. Albion is "You must like Gather/Crafting or PVP on a large scale with organized groups" or there's not a lot there
@@SirProdigle you can get by with not touching gathering and crafting, but if you have premium it’s a waste to not use your focus points. But you definitely need to enjoy pvp. If you truly hate it you’re not gonna have a good time.
@@ryanzalk Yeah I'd agree with that, PVP is definitely the main focus, just feel like you're getting half a game if you don't do some amount of gather/crafting, needs a solid large group to game around as well
Was the game with the funny control scheme at 19:00 designed for Nintendo DS or Wii U? I could imagine some of those funny mouse gestures could make more sense for the stylus of those two platforms.
Not knowing menzoberranzan.... hand me over your dnd card, you are not allowed in here
I've read multiple 5e D&D rulebooks and i have no idea who that is.
@@mmorkinism it is a very famous dark elf(drow) city, where Drizzt comes from. you should check it out . great books
@@mmorkinism Menzoberranzan also known as the city of spiders is a huge drow city/state in the underdark in forgotten realms. It is the city Drizzt Do'Urden was born in, and escapes from before he starts his adventures on the surface world. Menzoberranzan drow are from this city.
Great stuff man, this was a fun idea and I would love to see future compilations. Hopefully not too many though lol, dont want you to have to trudge through too many crappy games XD
As you are someone who has played hundreds of MMOs it would be interesting to see a video from you detailing the little things in MMOs that you liked and would like to be implemented in your 'dream MMO'. Great video, cheers
I bet the editor had more fun editing these clips than Peon had fun playing the games, lol!

Glorious video!
5:38 In the options menu 5th keybind from the top. "Toggle Turn With Mouse" = NUMPAD ENTER
Peon had pressed num pad enter at some point which unlocked the cursor by default.
Yeah thats why I use ninja ripper on neverwinter for all those nice models 🤣
Love the failed first impressions! Hope we see more of these in the future.
Name: TheLazyPeon
Job description: Feudal Lord
Missed an epic opportunity there.
i thought that never winter progression was shared accross charaters meaning u only need to go though the unlocking process once
@@IntegrityGames yeah should’ve probably known that when I tried the game a couple years back it’s was so overwhelming that I just gave up
1:53 "I'm sure you're all aware i aint none Peon tho"... looking at his channel name and wondering when was the last time he checked he's channel name hahahaha
This video was hilarious, Peon! Keep posting this stuff! :D
I found those videos pretty interesting even with how short those were . Honestly I would also like to see more of the cut footage to see more of the game, even if there wasn't much to comment on.
Loved this keep doing these in the future when you ll have like 5-6 more failed mmo video ideas
This is a great idea, more content for you, and we still appreciate knowing if a game is not worth it, or if it's unfinished, but we are still interested once further development is done.
Timestamps are appreciated here. I kept reading comments where I didn't understand which game they applied to.
Heck.
Here they are:
1:18 Wild Terra: New Lands
4:57 The Yellow King
6:35 Rain of Darkness
8:34 Dungeons and Dragons: Neverwinter
15:05 Shattered: Tale of the Forgotten King
17:41 Wigmund: The Return of the Hidden Knight
Also. What the fuck are these generic names...
100% support you going into other genres and just doing videos on anything u feel like :D If you cover a game i like or look forward to, i WILL Watch it.. doesn't matter if it's MMO or not
Peon! We need more "Life in Thailand" videos! Make sure to put out updates every week or 2, loved your last vlog!
2:18 you need to tell your editor about the "WHY ARE YOU RUNNING?" meme thingy sound
I honestly enjoy every video you put out. lol You’re such an entertaining person!
This video is my gaming experience in general these last couple years
Lol, I'm listening to this while working at my desk and cracking up! Thanks for the laughs!
love that video style as well! its a nice mix up i very much do enjoy
I actually just got into never winter a couple of days ago, Not planning on spending anything on it but so far it is enjoyable
It’s the best way to play it
I only spend on shit here and there, but anything progression or p2w related never.
@@joeh858 yeah that's the sad shit with the game
@@mikekuzmicz8408 Yeah, which is unfortunate because there's a lot of potential otherwise. The combat feels good and even though the graphics are old I think it still looks great in some places.
@thelazypeon lookin lean and healthy my guy. keep up the good videos and hard work!
Well, to be honest, that third one man developed game looks better than Shroud of the Avatar =)
*Willpower loss compilation, and hair loss ad in the same video.*
*MMO struggle bus continues!*
4:20 escape from tarkov brings all the fun of tetris and inventory management
Getting acupuncture from a gorilla sounds more fun than these games.
Menzoberranzan is a city of dark elves (drows) in the D&D lore. it's where Drizzt Do'Urden is from, the main character in the books of R.A. Salvatore. Great books. must read for all D&D fans
there a option at 5:38 that lets you toggle mouse turn!
The last one looked really good. If the main gripe was the keybindings, why not just change them in the options?
I know you are running out of videos and this is a great idea. Good job man
Also, you could totally be bald. Anyone with a beard can do it
Being a MMORPG fan is hard these days. The "golden age" of MMOs is long gone so you can play same MMOs over and over or wait for some "ambitious" MMO in development only to find out it's mediocre at best or completely a scam.
When lockdown started I had given a try to Elite Dangerous and I found it very refreshing.
It's not bad for a horror game.
You should try something like Josh Strife where he purposely reviews terrible MMOs, you discover some crazy ideas and executions for video game designs
+1
Love that dude
His recent coverage of Otherland is phenom
Josh Strife Hayes? Big fan. It must take a lot out of a person to intentionally review bad games, although some of them do turn out to be "not that bad." Still, like Peon said, after a while it starts to feel like you're just comparing trash to games that are slightly less trash.
@@IntegrityGames what's up man

LazyPeon: I'm gonna be a dps Paladin
Me, a former main paladin way back before they f*cked this game: Say what? Well, this will end fast
So What went wrong with this game? I remember seeing it years ago and it looked fun. Now while watching him I got this feeling that there is something different about it and its not a good thing.
@@june_o9 Eh, where to start with your question,? that is the real problem. Basically It comes all to one thing: company's greed
well, to keep this short: basically every module forces you to rebuild your character by for example removal of some skills, adding new gear, forcing you to endless grind with stupidly low drop rates (sometimes it takes months to get what you want) etc. All perfectly solvable with you periodically coughing up some extra cash.
Thx Peon and great work Editor
Peon be like "Let me roll a dps Paladin which is a tank class...oh no where is the dps? I quit!"
xD
18:43, so you’ve never played Minecraft?
"Editor"... literally my idea in the real life mmo video. But its all good, wanted exactly this.
I wonder if Wigmunds keybindings make more sense on different keyboards.
You should do an updated first impressions video for Skyforge; I'm interested in hearing your opinions about it in 2021!
The Dark Souls 2 Majula sound, showed you are a man of culture. Take my like.
This video was a good idea Peon. It was interesting and fun with a bit of a funny twist to it.
