- So recently I was bored browsing Steam and decided to check out the tags "Massively Multiplayer" I then came across a game released in 2018 called "Phoenix Dynasty 2" which is the sequel to "Phoenix Dynasty Online" from 2007, after reading the extremely hype description this game was given I decided to check it out and spent the next hour or so in the worst MMORPG I've ever played.
Are there any worse MMORPGs than this one?

--Phoenix Dynasty 2 Online Steam Description--
City War
The magnificent NUWA! The city that lives in the dreams of gallant warriors!
Every Saturday, the dynasties fight each other to become the new rulers of the city of Nuwa. The City War is made up of two stages. Firstly, the warriors breach the city gates and destroy the statues and bosses in the city. Then the dynasties race with one another to collect the highest number of flags and become the new rulers. The winning clan receives the highest share from the treasure of the city!
Village War
Every Sunday at 09:00 pm, the dynasties join the battle to conquer the village castles. Only the true warriors bear the power and courage to invade these castles. The Village War is also a pathway that leads you to join the city war and conquer the dream city of Nuwa.To take control of the villages, the warriors must destroy the statues and bosses as well as delivering the highest number of dynasty flags to receive the highest share from the treasure of the village.
PvP Map
This 24/7 open map hosts high-level mobs and unique bosses. You may enter the PVP map either with your party or on your own. This map also offers you plenty of Fame Points and rare titles that will boost your attributes remarkably.
Caravan Challenges
Escort the caravans through the world maps and earn tons of gold in return! You may also raid the caravans protected by other dynasties and be cruel outlaws who would do anything to get richer! Be a reliable merchant, or be a dreaded warrior among others! The choice is yours!
Dungeon System
There are several challenging dungeons you can enter via the related NPCs in Jiangdu. These dangerous maps host cruel mobs and bosses that have sworn an oath to be loyal to Darkazure at any costs! These rewarding challenges also play an essential role in your character’s progress.
BOSS System
Phoenix Dynasty 2 is full of ruthless Darkazure generals in every corner! You will have to encounter them while dealing with the mobs on each map. By killing those vile bosses, you can receive secret treasures any time and anywhere!
Auto-Bot and Auto-Direction System
Enjoying your tea or coffee while playing an online game has never been this easy! When a friend of yours drop by, or you want to take a break to watch a TV episode, you can just leave your character to the Auto-Bot and let the Azurian make progress 24/7!
Wing System
Craft your wings to have a magnificent look and acquire bonus attributes! You can also upgrade the wings to higher levels and types to become invincible.
Dynasty Labyrinth War
Every Monday, the dynasties battle to take control of the secret labyrinth in Demon Tower specially designed for prominent clans! Only the most powerful will have the privilege to rule this dungeon and challenge the crazy bosses!
Tiger vs. Dragon Event

The Royal Battlefield

Lmao. This game is pirated. It has a mount from Perfect World, skills and skyblades (the flying sword) from Jade Dynasty, the UI is almost the same as JD and some other stuff.

Phoenix Dynasty 3 is going to be exciting. I have source that tells me you can actually Auto Path to Max Lv in 5 mins. You have to buy the legendary pack though. I heard it some kinda transcendence perk. Also you will have 4D option. Sounds Awesome!

That would be awesome if they can reach that. We of course will need a free auto bot to navigate through the 4.5 dimension. I mean thats the only way to experience PD. Hopefully its a speed of light bot. That way we can take it all in in one press of a button. Exhilarating!

Those players you've encountered in the town center were Turks. Joshua said "sa" which means selamun aleykum. There are lots of Turkish players playing these grindy, pay to win and generally abysmal games. They don't hesitate to spend money to get better gear etc. I suppose they have small but dedicated circle of players, who form alliances and rivalries, which make the game interesting.

FFXI, Ragnarok Online, WoW were all exceptional MMOs, the next set were great, but either derivative or plagued by bugs (warhammer).
Big modern MMOs are great, but derivative, hence the genre is in a bad state.

The video was really funny Peon, but somehow it made me just sad and depressed for being an MMO player when I see these sort of games actually being made and people actually playing them.
Why would you be sad? Hey, if people can find enjoyment in this crappy game, more power to them.
You probably didn't play enough eastern mmos during their prime. They want to give some nostalgia to their niche with these crappy games. Early 2000s Conquer Online was a blast. Of course, there was no WoW, it was heavily P2W, just like Shaiya, and if you died you dropped everything on the ground. But life was harsh back then. These asian games mix that with the mobile asian trend of autopathing and teleporting you everywhere, for some reason.
You wouldn't believe how much money these garbage mmo's are making.
What makes me sad is being unable to enjoy these crap games like those guys do.

Oooh, that takes me back. I had to play my first MMO, Knight Online, with a Turkish phrasebook nearby. I've seen MMOs like Phoenix Dynasty survive before, with an inexplicably dedicated fanbase, just because a single nationality becomes predominant. The game then morphs into a national pastime/social network.
I've seen that happen on Florensia long ago. Players got split into servers depending on their nationality, but since "DURRR SPANISH BRAZILIANS AND ITALIAN ARE THE SAME ANYWAY RIGHT?" they all got heaped up in one server.
The Brazilians were in sheer majority. Of course since everyone was trying to use the world chat everyone got annoyed at each other. Problem is, the community moderators in the BR/ES/IT server were also brazillians, meaning they could silence or petition to ban Italian players for doing something as minor as to tell someone to shut up or pulling mobs in an area.
Eventually lots of Italians left the game, myself included.
Knight Online is basically a cultural part of Turkish gaming, with Metin2, and Silkroad to a lesser extent, and they are not aggressive to other nationalities unlike the upper example, and some of them will even try to speak to you in broken english. At worst, they'll think you are a turk imitating a foreigner and swear at you.

looks fine if this were released about 15 years ago during the time of cabal, perfect world or lineage II but doesn't quite meet today's standards.
I would be less critical about it if it were f2p although any game with an auto feature gets a thumbs down.

I've played it yesterday evening for 1h 30mins and I've actually came across 2 players. I sent them a friend request but they never accepted. I took some in-game screenshots and I uninstalled at level 12.

I dunno. A lot of this reminds me of asian mmos I played on my fphonw foe like an hour before I got bored and uninstalled them. I have the suspicion they took a phone game, ported it to pc and gave it slightly better graphics and different camera options.

As someone who still enjoys dragon age, a game where everyone looks like they had their makeup done by leather face I might add, i agree with the whole content over graphics standpoint but this........ this needs to burn before it makes cuthulu lose his fucking mind
To give you an idea of how FEW PEOPLE play this game... LazyPeon reviewed this 2 years ago, and it had 285 reviews.. now in Sept. 2020 it still has only 377 reviews. Not even 100 people bothered to review the game, good or bad, for 2 whole years.

it seems it was shut down early january just the other day, but with no announcement
only 1 player in the community tab is asking what is wrong and why they cant login
the official website is down, it only loads a JPEG image and thats it
there hasnt been a single update to the game since release 2.5 years ago, not a single one
