What bothers me is you run through the entire level carrying the chest, but when you get to the boat you have to winch it on? Why? Just walk onto the boat?
Or if you want people to wait and do pvp do a thing where you shoot a flare or call your boat somehow and have to protect the chest while you wait till your boat shows up. So then the enemy has to take the chest to another site to fire off the flare since you already called your boat to that spot.

We typically run against teams that are over stacked melee characters and win. Ranged snips one shot, and if your winching you don't move that much. This game should've been: Team A is Hood's gang but you can only have 1 of each character in the group. Team B is some sort of special guards that sort of mimic Hood's characters archetypes. Keep the whole initial stealth section the same for Team A but Team B is fully blind to Team A and the Sheriff until they get spotted/alert the NPCs or the hunter type character of Team B finds tracks or something like that to help them have a general wide location of the movement of Team A. Once the key is taken from the Sheriff, it has a hidden timer until the Sheriff "finds out" the key has been stolen and gives off the alarm, which makes NPC vision X times better to spot Team A's members quicker. Team A's players are highlighted on Team B's screen only if they're within an NPC's or Team B player's line of sight. Team B's players are highlighted on Team A's screen only when they have the chest. Team A would still have to take the chest to a drop-off, but the maps should be reworked to make teamwork necessary (Like locked doors/gates that need to be lockpicked by just one specific character, some sort of traps to be disabled by another character, etc). Random ideas outta my ass in 5 minutes, but I feel like it'd still be better than the current game.
I said before the game's release that it would be a nice concept for another party of people. They'd play the guardians,1 dude controls the sheriff and the guards when they are alerted, the other ones acts like the mindmaster in RE Resistance
Maybe other secondary objectives that will give a team an advantage. I’m thinking stable master that could give a team a temporary horse, weapon master for a damage increase, a buff for the first team that picks up the chest to compensate for the 4v5 nature, etc.
In all honesty, this should've been a DLC for FOR HONOR. The combat system and the characters are already there just the addition of a couple of features and it would be amazing.

I bought this game on day 0 and i got to play 3 days before the global launch. By the time the game came out on may 10th i already had unninstalled it. Every single cons you mentioned are also in my and almost every player's review. Basically the game has potential but right now is just a team deathmatch game and who can steal the last winching checkpoint to take the win. Let's hope the devs find a good balance in a very near future... otherwise it's really like you said Craig, it won't get past 2 months. Great review as always
They should just get rid of the whole wrenching system and just makes it so whoever get to their teams respective ship with the chest first wins the round. So it would be more of a capture the flag style. As for stealth, I think making the npcs more dangerous would help with that. Maybe they kill you in one or two hits, so you really dont want to be caught by them. They should also make a lot of noise when they detect you so it alerts the enemy team. To tie into that, maybe have multiple extraction points, making the enemy have to guess which one you are headed to and make stealth more of a priority when escaping. Since they want to have stealth types and brawler types, maybe give the brawler types some advantages to last longer against the npc, allowing them to purposely distractions from the noise of the battle, throwing off the enemy team.
40 hours in and feeling so addicted to Hood. Mechanics are simple, but it just works. Its unforgiving and filled with one-shot mechanics, but it still feels fair in sense that it happens to everyone. Game balance does feel quite balanced to me at least in not a high skill level. However I do realize it has flaws and it seems to be off-putting to many. I feel like this game is not gonna break into big popularity, but instead will maintain a cult-like following for quite some time.
Hoping the same, still installed but waiting on updates, don't think 1 character added will keep peoples attention. Its a decent pvp game that does reward stealth. I was saying to myself how many attacks do I really need in a game to be satisfied, 3-4 attacks seemed enough, but didn't keep me logging in.
Hey peon! Thanks for that video, I have no clue if you'll see this but I recommend you check out a game called Absolver, it's quite old and sadly is not as popular as it deserves to be, because the gameplay is quite nice despite the PvE side of the game being a bit lacking, I hope I'll be able to see you make a video of that game so it can gain a bit of popularity because it truly deserves to be played by more people. I wish you a good day!
Given the graphic fidelity and amount of customization they prepped, I think the game was meant to be something else but they ran out of money and was told they gotta launch in 6 months.
I think a few things could be done to improve the game just based on what I saw in the video. One fix is to make NPC's MUCH harder in 1v1 when alerted, thus making assassination the most effective tactic. Another fix would be to make it so you have to have 1 person playing each character, rather than allowing multiple of the same to avoid stacking the most effective character (which itself should be balanced ofc). The final fix would be to make each character have ONE LIFE! You die and your team now has to win with whoever is left. As for a way to fix the tactic of waiting until the other team gets the chest and then stealing it, I can't really think of any fix as that just seems like a smart tactic, but perhaps some sort of buff for your entire team for a somewhat short period of time after you first grab the chest would help. What kind of buff I personally don't really feel the need to consider, as I don't feel like putting in the cognitive effort for a game I don't care about lol. I'm only posting these ideas for the fun of it. Be they bad, or good I really don't care, so feel free to roast the shit out of them if you want.
Better and easier to design and balance the game too. Cause right now, they have to juggle between the characters and the NPC who are very dumb and weak.
But then it would be the same as every other capture the flag game. I think they wanted to do something different but missed the target all together. Looks good graphically I guess.
How to fix the sniping problem; Make required hazards or blockades each team MUST pass before they can get to the chest or the other side of the map. So now each team must be funnelled towards the chest to even have a chance at the chest to begin with. Fix Combat; Gut it almost entirely, make it MUCH more based on stealth and make actual fights with guards hard to nearly impossible unless you are good at the game. More guards should just be Sheriff level of kick your ass.
we all MMORPG players are desperate for a good game, but i believe the fulfillment we are looking for its right here and its NFT! please please please lazy peon dont be lazy and let everyone know about this life changing tech for us the gamers!! this its not the end brother and ashes its not our only hope! you'll all see!
It sounds like there should be a chest for each team. That way, you can’t swoop in at the end to steal the win. It becomes a case of the team that executes the heist fastest wins. PvP could be used to slow down your rivals.
I started to watch after the title screen and I literally thought this was a new Assassin's Creed game 😆 It really does resemble it. Its a pretty looking game too..
the winching needs to be fixed into a tug of rope system or something like that... also stealth gameplay can be really rewarding, if you are fast at taking out guards and taking key and box, you can start extracting before the other team even finds the sheriff. if you extract near your spawn its nearly impossible to take the win from the other team unless your much better than they are. another comment on stealth, if you carry the box all the way to the extraction point without the guards seeing it, the armored guards never spawn and the sheriff never moves to the extraction point. I enjoyed the game a lot, but then again i had 3 friends playing with me the whole way through, playing with randoms is super frustrating cause the level of teamwork you can preform is much more limited than with your own crew of friends.
It's alright I got over it after a week of playing. They need more maps and gear. The perks make it more fun you get more abilities and stuff. I feel like it definitely needs a pve story with each character. I do feel bad about about paying the pre order price though.
How about this: multiple chests/treasures to steal all worth varying amounts, all randomly placed each game. Being able to steal a map from a guard that pinpoints where the chests are. Teams would have to decide whether to go for a smaller value chest or a more valuable one, and whoever collected the most points at the end of a game wins? And maybe a roll feature?
They should have done it so you cant play the same char and each char is responsible for a part of the mission. Like which extraction point u wanna use. how u getting the chest and so on. Can even do if they get more chars than 4 that u unlock more things u can change (like more extraction points u can choose from when u plan). And do so both teams cant pick the same extraction point. This will make it so u cant just scoop in just before the other team wins and get the win. Because then u first have to carry the chest to your extraction point. And ofc make it more punishing if u get caught by guards. Just like in the hitman series. stealth can take a long time but brawling your way to the target is very punishing at times of i dont have a good plan for that aswell.
I know it's console and not PC, but have you considered doing a first impressions on Ghost of Tsushima online legends mode? Me and some friends are playing it. Can be a little repetitive but is pretty fun.
Peon basically got the same comments anybody who only plays an hour and understands only the surface layer gets to, which the more you play the more you realize the different strenghts of characters and how much getting to pick your chest placement matters (if you put it at your neutral spawn then its much harder for the enemy to get a win)
Well at least they can add points mechanic to the game, that's way if you just wait and took the chest from other team you get little points. Despite the team that took the key and chest.
Respectfully, I do not think you played the game enough for the Pros/Cons list because some of the things on the Cons list are a little off in my opinion. And First of all, yes the game is most def janky and needs SO much work LOL and the rulesets and combat are clunky. I do think that stealth is a very important factor though and does in fact matter, to keep your teams location hidden. Also, the characters are imbalanced but john is nowhere as OP as you might think as he is easily countered when against an experienced player. Love your videos man!
super small smap with static objective doesnt mix in a PVEVP, you can go entire matches without seeing other players in HUNT pretty much, it BEGS for abuse, then the fact that there is only 1 objective that can be stolen instead of several or spread out ones that can just be completed every PVP game always just boils down to meta brawling, these people must have literally never played a game before or tested it to see what it would become
You make amazing content! you should be covering Mirandus for the next Vid, youre getting into the NFT market (from the last ads) , and probably know by now thats the future of gaming, Murandus its an MMORPG with blockchain tech and real ownership for the players, you should def cover to get the hype going. keep the good work (y)
You're 100% on decent team mates in this, anyone not helping the team out and you just loose. It's also got a lovely one shot mechanic that makes me rage quite every time I'm in the middle of a fight and someone presses one button...
They seem to be attempting to make a ton of cash by making it player Vs player rather than a single player or 4 player co-op game. I would think that if they focused on making it a PVE game it might get somewhere but they would have to rework the NPC's and maybe add more to the maps etc. At least if it were PVE that would remove the PVP crap where all you need to do is wait for until the end and kill the others to win.

I really like Hood, but I feel like they should’ve launched at a slightly later date, to give us a couple more game modes
But isnt this the MAIN game mode? So it has to be the most fun one right?
Even the game trailer centers around it.
This game should've been:
Team A is Hood's gang but you can only have 1 of each character in the group.
As an FH fan, I approve
For honor is a terrible game. Please do not ruin hood by ever comparing it to Ubisoft’s disgusting child. The game is dead and has less then 5 devs working on it
@@M1das Gets a pretty lot of content for being dead man
Dont get me wrong im sure you have good reasons to hate it because there are PLENTY, but its far from dead.
@@M1das finally someone who agrees with me
@@M1das What makes For Honor terrible?
TheLazyPeon is a brand I can get behind!
Thank you for the excellent review, it helped me make my decision.
Mr. Peanutbutter and thelazypeon? What is this, a crossover episode?
The world team is really crazy!
Worldtoken seem like a legit project and the price seem good too to enter… thanks for sharing
"Tookie is miiiine!" - That vampire from True Blood probably.
Dat hammer sound tho x) Nice editing
It would be better if one team is defending the treasure
Technically, they are, while winching it on the boat. But I get what you're saying :P
Better and easier to design and balance the game too.
Cause right now, they have to juggle between the characters and the NPC who are very dumb and weak.
Yeah, doesn’t really seem like NPCs serve any actual purpose.
But then it would be the same as every other capture the flag game. I think they wanted to do something different but missed the target all together. Looks good graphically I guess.
10:11 Hahaha!
This editor is awesome!
How to fix the sniping problem;
Make required hazards or blockades each team MUST pass before they can get to the chest or the other side of the map. So now each team must be funnelled towards the chest to even have a chance at the chest to begin with.
Fix Combat;
Gut it almost entirely, make it MUCH more based on stealth and make actual fights with guards hard to nearly impossible unless you are good at the game.
8:38 Cheers to the editor. He said wassup baby!
Hey Peon you really need to do a preview-review on Sword of Legends : Online . It looks like a great new mmo coming to the west and soon at that.
at 10:12 i absolutely lost it 😂😂😂
Great review, straight to the point and super valid.
the winching needs to be fixed into a tug of rope system or something like that... also stealth gameplay can be really rewarding, if you are fast at taking out guards and taking key and box, you can start extracting before the other team even finds the sheriff. if you extract near your spawn its nearly impossible to take the win from the other team unless your much better than they are. another comment on stealth, if you carry the box all the way to the extraction point without the guards seeing it, the armored guards never spawn and the sheriff never moves to the extraction point.
It’s got a lot of potential💯 it’ll get better
Alright Mr Editor, you got me. The fucking Logan Paul edit almost made me choke on my breakfast. Well played.
Well at least they can add points mechanic to the game, that's way if you just wait and took the chest from other team you get little points. Despite the team that took the key and chest.
Missed u handsome, keep up the updates!
I gotta be honest Hood: Outlaws & Legends sounds like a GTA clone made by 50 cent.
Love your videos man!
super small smap with static objective doesnt mix in a PVEVP, you can go entire matches without seeing other players in HUNT pretty much, it BEGS for abuse, then the fact that there is only 1 objective that can be stolen instead of several or spread out ones that can just be completed
every PVP game always just boils down to meta brawling, these people must have literally never played a game before or tested it to see what it would become
These sound effects are killing me! lol
You should create your own channel and do that, instead of being a lazy and telling someone else what to do on their channel.
@@grimcapo4390 i follow lazy peon, let that sink in.
Holy shi* world token. I got $5,000 in that. I wasn't expecting you to give them a shoutout, damn
Soulworker Online just got rerelased on steam, can you do a review?
10:11 I died laughing 😂
You're 100% on decent team mates in this, anyone not helping the team out and you just loose. It's also got a lovely one shot mechanic that makes me rage quite every time I'm in the middle of a fight and someone presses one button...
im right there with you with the "meh feeling" from just watching.. interesting concept but yeah.. thats about it
9:07 lol at guard death.
Craig try Hunt:showdown it's like this he but 1000 times better. It's set in an cowboy type area with guns and stuff. It's brilliant game. Give it a try
He did and he made a video about it too
@@masterrhonin ah yes I've just watched it. Well that video is out of date now coz hunt had changed loads and is a full release now. It looks nothing like in his vid 2 years ago
Congrats Man.
Wake up babe, new Peon video
In concept the game is really cool and interesting, but the way they implemented it just seems like the most generic way it could have been made.
Sometimes the game boring you is the first impression. Still a worthy video in my opinion. Good watch
Just wondering why you don’t do SOLO first impression Peon??
I got an idea for your next first impressions! Can you try out wakfu or dofus?
The Brothers of Big Damage will return but after this message from our sponsor!
