Happy Sabbath It end's Tonight Love the Amazing Grace Tutorial but I need an EsyOne until Am able to play the hard one that will take Time. Oh,Ammm,"How do you Carry a guitar without strap of 🎸 Guitar Case?" I will like to see you show me in U-Tube T.V.
Lauren you ARE SURELY, for me a college teacher , the best guitar teacher I have seen on the web. You are also a beautiful woman with a sparkling smile that make me smiling while lurning on your great teaching, dont quit ...
I made a breakthrough when I learned a reggae/punk song that was all quarter up strumming and then did it interchangeably up or down strum. Feeling the strings and how I use them improved my sound.
I've been paying, but not learning for years. I've recently started up again and have been watching a ton of strumming videos. This is the first time I've watched one of your videos. I'm not sure why, but something just clicked for me! I was able to follow all of your patterns and actually FEEL the rhythm. I'm subscribed and THANK YOU! I feel like I just had a breakthrough.
It is a good lesson. Also playing the pattern without the voice should give a very good impression about how the pattern should sound alone. Thank you Lauren
As you work on these patterns, think of your arm as a metronome, going up and down in time to the tempo, always keep your arm moving, even when you skip an up or down strum. Strongly suggest practicing with metronome (lots of cellphone apps) and set the tempo to 60 or 70 beats per minute if you are just beginning your guitar journey. Remember the 3Ps, Patience, Perseverance, and PRACTICE, Good luck!!!
Thanks for your help you no i started 30 years ago and had to pawn my stella harmony acoustic guitar for food and i wished back then i would of never pawned it well got another one a couple of years ago still remember some cord's but the strumming you teach is great because that's one thing i never could get any of my friends to teach me so bravo to you..
OMG in four weeks you have helped so so much you are the best teacher ever. Now teach me how to commit time for practice. lol thank you so much, Note for Beginners this is the teacher you are looking for...Number One!!!
I am new to your RUclips channel but find it very helpful, I am trying to get over thumb surgery and your videos are great , thank you very much I like your teaching style.
Hi lauren.! Been playing just over two years and got into a rut with a strumming pattern. When I jam with friends they said “why do you play the smae pattern all the time”? I was rather embarrassed when they recorded me and I listen to three songs! Wow I said time to change :() we all need to go back to basics from time to time! Keep up the amazing work and what you do you are a fab teacher :()
I have developed Tendinitis in left forearm 😖 great opportunity for me to practice strumming !! I don’t have total withdrawal 😊 your lessons have been fantastic !!
Excellent, as always. When I teach a certain strumming pattern, I often give it a name..like the wagon wheel, strum...simply to give an example of a real song which sounds good with this particular strumming pattern. .
Morning Lauren. I gave you a shout out on gab.com Another media platform other than Facebook. Once again thank you for your love of get tar and music and your willingness to follow and share with others your passion. Enjoy your day.

I appreciate you using the numbers as well. I find that Dudu etc I can sometime get lost as to where I am in the cord strumming. It is easier to count 1&2&34. If you know what I mean.
@@LaurenBateman What a cowinkie dink,I have been studying the elite walk down this David Myhr musician uses in his cover of Roy's "You Got it"....I finger picked so many years I had to brush up on pick again..The one he uses matches the strum pattern, riding the octaves down.. Came to your channel to get tight again..I grew my nails long on pick hand until picking up pup duty one day, when my thumb nail poked through the bag and (thumb nail) filled.
