    Around 9:17 the pattern Andy actually played didn’t seem to fully match what’s on the screen. I think the screen version ends with “ D DU” when what’s being played is “ DU DU” - did anybody else notice that ?

    Nice work. I think for the pattern 4, you're playing four 16th notes at the end, not 8th followed by two 16ths.

    Great video. I am enrolled in your site and find art difficult to navigate without getting confused. I am making progress on things that I have always been doing wrong - too much noodling and no groove. Thanks for setting me straight. I hate to admit it but I have been playing with zero groove for almost 40 years.

      I guess you can add the extra U at the end of a phrase and leave it out for other measures too

    I assume your own personal strumming pattern, within reason is ok?? I am new but i find using sort of #1 with a DDU, DU, DDU, DU works really well for me.

    lol you pinch the pick...crazy! Just goes to show, there's always more than one way. Too cool. Just stay consistent and practice; it's the only way it happens when you start playing guitar. AND, stay patient. It will come.

    I must practice this , so important I need this badly. I suck on strumming. I strum to hard can't light strum. When I try the pick sounds like it going hard on each string. 😢

    Strumming with my thumb and thumb nail the sound is warmer, better harmonics, and a better natural feel strumming
