Around 9:17 the pattern Andy actually played didn’t seem to fully match what’s on the screen. I think the screen version ends with “ D DU” when what’s being played is “ DU DU” - did anybody else notice that ?
thaankssss!!!!! I am still a beginner who struggled with my guitar and kept it lying on the floor 5 years ago...Now I just picked it up again and when I got a little bored with learning chords, i came here... Wow!!
Dear Andy!!!! Perfect 👌 lesson 🎸. You are a great musician and a good teacher too. 😍 I lost my hope to play like this. But you gave me a great way to start a new game and how to play the right way to show everyone that I can play good - thanks to you. I really appreciate your patience and time for all. 😍Before I get this lesson I was D D D and now I'm U U U.... ☺️
Great video. I am enrolled in your site and find art difficult to navigate without getting confused. I am making progress on things that I have always been doing wrong - too much noodling and no groove. Thanks for setting me straight. I hate to admit it but I have been playing with zero groove for almost 40 years.
Great one Andy I've been learning guitar during quarantine with only your courses and I've made amazing progress. Do you think you could do some tutorials on the greatest showman songs I know it's old but the songs are really cool.
This was exactly what I was looking for to start with right now!!! Thank you! All the other ones tend to move into the next strum really fast and even though it might be what I can do at that moment... I want to build precision before going forward. This was a great help!
Andy, buddy I've been following you for years now and learned how to play from your videos. Can you please show us a simple version of "I remember you" skid row? Or "never tear us apart " inxs simple way. Thanks Spencer
Hey man I just wanted to say congratulations! Big time I was looking at one of your old videos for “stop the train” I really wanted to learn it and I saw a lot of hate comments I was pretty mad I mean you did really good... look at you now 1M subs 🥳
Haha I'm no John Mayer expert, there are countless better teachers of that than me. I'm learning, I'm finding my role, and I hope I help the beginners to intermediates make progress ✌🎸
I assume your own personal strumming pattern, within reason is ok?? I am new but i find using sort of #1 with a DDU, DU, DDU, DU works really well for me.
Hey Andy I love your teaching methods. Can you please make a tutorial on a song called paqurette by with confidence. It just lovely song please do this video thanks mate.
lol you pinch the pick...crazy! Just goes to show, there's always more than one way. Too cool. Just stay consistent and practice; it's the only way it happens when you start playing guitar. AND, stay patient. It will come.
I must practice this , so important I need this badly. I suck on strumming. I strum to hard can't light strum. When I try the pick sounds like it going hard on each string. 😢
Stop calling me people Sir, you are not a slave. Have some self respect for god sake, the British have left 77 years before. Just Andy is more than enough :D
Thank you! The tips about only hitting the low strings on the up stroke has literally just improved my guitar playing instantly
Same here, like, He's the first person to mention this that i've seen on youtube.
Same with me bro
I think he said to hit the high strings on the up?
@@MooseLeader1 the high strings that are low....lol as in lowest strings to the floor! 😁👍🏼

Thought so too. Luckily im not a beginner anymore, otherwise this could've been very frustrating haha.
YES! I came to check the comments if anybody else noticed
indeed. was wondering that myself. didn't think I was imagining it
so which is correct? .. i did notice that .. what he said or what he wrote we should go by?
Yes man

This is my 9th month assignment foe learning guitar.
Thanks Andy.
Hey Andy, on video 9:10, it seems you are playing DDDDU UD DUDU... while it shows DDDDU UD DDU... Thanks for the amazing video
Nice work. I think for the pattern 4, you're playing four 16th notes at the end, not 8th followed by two 16ths.
Helpful video!

Andy, your graphic in pattern 4 is missing the penultimate 'up'! Apart from that...thank you!

Idk if you read these but I must say you are such an amazing person. Having the patience of making oversimplified tutorials is something. Thank u.
Great one Andy

Do you think you could do some tutorials on the greatest showman songs I know it's old but the songs are really cool.
Hi, i could follow for the first 2 patterns...on the 3 rd pattern on i wish you showed it slower before the change of chords😊
You legitimately just "fixed" my guitar playing. 😮 I'm staggered by just how obvious this all seems now.
I love the way you broke these concepts down. Great production quality!
This was exactly what I was looking for to start with right now!!! Thank you! All the other ones tend to move into the next strum really fast and even though it might be what I can do at that moment... I want to build precision before going forward. This was a great help!
I'm still fumbling with chords but a really good strum pattern sure helps!
youre the best, you taught me something I tried to learn for years, TY TY Thank YOU !!!!!
Wow, you can actually differentiate good teachers from the others... Learned a lot. Thanks!
They say that learning on YT is hard, the trick they say, is to stick with the one tutor. Thanks mate, that's you.
Never enough to say thank you to you for your dedication for us. God bless you and your family forever amen.
Very useful, but the last two are🔥 quite challenging
Thank you Andy am a 69 years old and my guitar playing improved with your tutorial videos and the book I purchased of your beginners tutorials

The 4th one is a killer for me! I had no trouble with the others.
I’ve sort of doing this all along with knowing it when I practice my cord shapes. Great practice tips. Thanks.
love to learn how to tap before learning the beat, thanks for showing tap and explanation
Big Thank You Andy for making things so simple and easy!!! Your the Man!!!!!
Nice video bro but your forget One UP in the forth pattern to be written , love u bro
I did! Apologies.🙏
It's ok bro , It happens but you still the best
awww yes! I was getting crazy! I'm so happy I am now able to find out this kind of stuff!!!!
My favourite guitar channel❤
Sometimes I feel those who can play guitar are some kind of wizards.
Yeah when you start learning guitar, you realise these things....😅😅😅
⚡abracadabra
not even close haha. just practice. It’s cliche but the more you do something the better you get and the easier it becomes
Keeping the magic alive on the daily!
I think I most agree lol
Hey who ever reads this, Pattern 4 needs correction - Andy says to do D D D DU UD DU DU, But the chart says D D D DU UD D D U (MISSING A U)
Thoughts?
Thoughts good.
@@madhiazhagan5057 🤣
I guess you can add the extra U at the end of a phrase and leave it out for other measures too
yep you are right....he plays D D D DU UD DU DU for sure
Was looking for it too
YOU are really learning me about strummingand picking. Real pro teacher
I am so chuffed with your lessons! Really having fun with 'm. Keep up the good work. Rock on :)
I love his teaching
YOU ARE AN AMAZING HUMAN BEING
🎸🙏

Hi andy sir , such great learning.

Came for this.

@@andycrowley you are very good, I'm a tough head learner. 😅👍🏿🙏🏿
Best video on strumming I have seen
You are right, this video can take a beginner to advance.🙂🙂
This is my favourite guitar channel solely because he looks like my jiu jitsu coach, great video as always
what if he actually is????
Pattern 4 doesnt have a DU DU at the end , not sure if I am listening correctly in comparison to the pic behind you which is just a D. DU
What a guitar! It's perfect for strumming. What's the name of it?
Thank you so much...I am a beginner. 😊 keep making videos.
I love the second pattern 2:46. sounds so good!!! hahaha, Thank you so much, Andy. 😀
Thank you Andy, focusing on the rythm has really helped me to learn quickly.

The dislikes are from those, who tried playing these, couldn’t do so, and got frustrated😭😂
Absolutely 💯😂😂
exactly.. 😂💯
Strumming with my thumb and thumb nail the sound is warmer, better harmonics, and a better natural feel strumming
Brilliant. Many thanks.
