I have watched and learned from a number of your videos and find that your lessons are the best that I have found online, straight forward, level appropriate and entertaining without a lot of silliness. As well, your video quality is very good and reflects the amount of work you are putting into this site. Bravo!
Couldn't AGREE more. I have only just started trying to play and have found Andy's lessons and tutorials just amazingly helpful. I'm an older guy and my hands aren't as supple as they once were, but I am still able to play a reasonably identifiable tune - all thanks to Andy! Cheers, mate! [ and keep up the inspiring work.] Love it!
I have been learning guitar for about 6 weeks now, and I LOVE your lessons!!!! I have learned more from you than from any other source, and I just want to say THANK YOU!!!! Rock on, my friend!!!
Hey there Andy! I just wanted to give you a little shout out to say thank you for what you're doing. I have been wanting to learn guitar for many years. Since my children are now grown and out of the house, I have a lot of me time. I find your lessons very helpful. It's one thing to learn chords and something totally different to learn the proper way to hold a pick, how to strum and how to get your fingers into those contorted positions. I have been practicing with you daily for the past month or so, and in so doing have inspired my oldest son to pick up the guitar again. I'm looking forward to they day that we can visit and have jam sessions. Keep doing you dude!! You're awesome! Deborah
Andy Guitar Hey Andy, I really love your lessons. Is there any videos on hammer ons and pull off? because I want to learn them to improve my songwriting skills
I just start learning the guitar (acoustic)so could you please do more exercises like this? And also you are the only online teacher that I understand so thank you for the videos.

PS I love ur videos u help me so much with my guitar u taught me Galway girl, castle on the hill, shape of u and many more thank you so much keep posting amazing content
I’m practicing along with this vid. Trying to relearn how to play after a decade of hiatus, phew. Amazing lesson aside, that guitar sounds gorgeous. Mine is very bright, hardly any bass and more on the treble. That’s one balanced, warm sounding guitar, wow. Great video 👌 It helped me a lot with practicing pace and timing.
I developed a muscle problem is the back of my right hip. I play the guitar and raised my knee as Andy suggested. My physiotherapist told me my problem was repetitive stress resulting from how I hold my my guitar. I changed to keep my feet flat on the floor and this resolved the problem.
Luvit ... brought a fender cd 60 S and your beginners and strumming books have come .. many thanks for super quick delivery .. cheers Andy .. if I had thought I would of ordered a couple of picks same time .. cheers Chris
Hi Andy. My girlfriend and I have both started to learn the guitar and we have learnt allot from you. You’re a fab teacher. Could you tell me where you got the pictures from in the background? We have 5 of them but I want to surprise her with another 4 but she can’t remember where she bought them? Keep up the good work mate
Just came across this exercise , looks like it's going 2 be a massive help for me with the foot tapping , looking forward to joining your rock courses etc , half way through level 2 of a beginner course on another site , hopefully get that finished then join u 👍 excellent lesson
If i could add 1 thing that helped me alot. when first starting out and you are doing just down strums at the end of each down strum try bouncing your hand up juat a little when you clear the string, this helped me with timing and when i can to my up strums it felt alot easier, this is hard to explain via text so if someone else could elaborate id be greatfull
Most things i have been able to pick up pretty well and get down after practice but this is what i really struggle with. Naturally born without any rythum i think lol. Will keep at it though
hey Andy your teaching me and my 11 year old simultaneously we think your brilliant could you please do a minnie the moocher tutorial we want to rock a bbq in a few weeks
that moment when u realise that the habit of watching in 2x speed is not quite appropriate for learning guitar ( it took me 1 week to get the normal rythm.....earlier...i was faster than light)
I always wondered with this foot tapping....at shows I've been to when the guitarists are roaming all over the stage but still sounding great....how does it work then? One guy told me he follows the drummers beat but most times they just know. Nice video!
I use one of those foot rests to i sit holding the guitar classical style even though i dont play classical its the most comfortable angle to hold the guitar while seated

Great lesson, Andy, esp for those of us who’ve played for years but never did the fundamental rhythm work !
Very awesome, thank you. Was able to play, tap and switch with you which is very cool validation all my practice is paying off.
Thank you! This was really useful. I still struggle with the upstrums, usually I end up just hitting the bortom string on the way up 😅
Very useful exercise Andy. Your style of teaching is fantastic and helpful. Thanks.

Thanks man, got me playing the guitar
I wish I had seen this before I found it on my own, this would have saved me weeks.
Me: I heard you like bad boys.
Her: yeah, so?
Me: I played along using the C major chord .
lmaooo
me:i heard u like bad boys
her:yeah so?!
me: i used "chunga chunga" instead of " 1e and a ...2 e and a ..3 e and a..."
Next time, tell her you mastered polyrhythms--that drummers actually learn complicated time from your guitar.

Hey Andy love your teachings can you show us how to play black hole sun
Andy is really good
Awesome that's what I've been looking for. Thanks.
Congrats...just love your site.. Very easy to understand...🎼🎸🎤🎹🎷
What I find helpful is to slow the video down to half speed, then 3/4 speed, and finally full speed. Makes it easier to get it and play along.
I always wondered with this foot tapping....at shows I've been to when the guitarists are roaming all over the stage but still sounding great....how does it work then? One guy told me he follows the drummers beat but most times they just know. Nice video!
