Oi, Simon! Estou estudando muito isso! Você poderia dar umas dicas de como pegar a levada de uma música tirando da bateria? É porque têm músicas que não têm violão e acho que dificulta um pouco!
@celiomarques8310, the beat/drums (if they are present in the song) are what you should really focus on when strumming anyway. Strumming is more percussive than anything else. Just start by strumming on the beat only with a down strum and find the groove of the song. Then branch out into some actual strumming patterns keeping time with the drums. Play deliberate and consistent patterns here, the nuances can come later. You might even do this to a drum loop as opposed to a song to begin. If you lose your time, come back to strumming down on the beat only. This is what you need to feel when playing anything, so do it every day until you can feel it more naturally. It takes time, but working on your time is one of if not the most important things to do as a musician.
Strumming patterns presented in this video can be found here: acousticguitarlessonsonline.net/strumming-patterns-guitar
Thank you Simon!
@mookytc, you are very welcome! :)
