I have the clear oil filter niche cover(haven't installed) going to replace chain and try a different sprocket setup to get more use out of 1st gear and a bit more top end mph. Also doing front wheel bearings. Your video has me convinced after fighting myself to get rid of the blob on the left of the handle bars. Especially now that I have a Dasa built FCR 44 Wil need to do the throttle cable(z400 thumber with yfz carb end).
It’s coming but I don’t want to tear into the engine again before the Oklahoma gold rush. I don’t want to miss it this year again 😂 I have an fcr I’m debating on installing but I think suspension is coming sooner. After riding a friends yfz this thing rides rough and I almost sold it. Have you had good reliability with all the mods your currently running?
I have a video coming soon with some smaller mods to get it ready for the XC Race (Oklahoma Gold Rush) and if i can find a good powder coater I will tear it down to the frame for a few other mods while i get some parts Powder coated. I have a long list of stuff to get done to it 😂. Anything you would like to see specifically?
@@stevewallace326 I have run rotella for many years in all my atvs and my trucks. It’s not necessarily diesel oil, it works with wet clutches and it’s cheap.

MyZ400 oil isn’t draining down to crankcase after oil change. Any idea why?
Does the deisel oil your using protect your clutch Pack
No oil would be a clutch “protector “ but it is wet clutch compatible.

Why are you putting diesel oil in a gas engine?

how can i check to make sure there’s oil
The dip stick on the oil resivoir.
How many liters is need ?
Like 2.2 quarts or so if i remember right.

MyZ400 oil isn’t draining down to crankcase after oil change. Any idea why?
I believe it takes a few minutes, but you may want to double check that.
