I was just cursing the lack of empty 1x1s last night in game. As a former bubblehead, being able to set up concentric 1x1s would make an ideal realization of the best vessel type for space travel...submarines! Just wish function could be assigned to the decorations and not to the module. Like how FO4 just counted the number of bottom beds towards bed count and not the number of houses.
@@delindsay While I got you here, have you heard anything on the devs making the rest of the battle station and engineering mechanicals available under the decoration tabs? Hate not having the generators as well as only having 7-ish consoles
@@TenNoZeorymer72 I haven't heard anything no. I follow them on shitter just in case they pop news out of nowhere and a few YTers that do gaming news style videos so I can keep reasonably in the loop.

I just thought about something while looking at the wall at 4:47, seeing how curved the walls is and the 3 thick wall beams on each wall.. it would be cool if there was like hab modules (kitchen, beds, toilet, storage, workbenches, terminals, ...) which could snap to the space between those thick wall beams. It would be cool if all habs were empty habs by default and any crew capacity or passenger slots were instead determined by which "hab modules" were attached to the walls. I think it would make the current hab system a lot more interesting. It was just a thought. Edit 1: It would also be cool if you could view and edit hab modules of all habs in that "layer"/floor (where all other layers/floors + top half of the habs in the current layer becomes invisible), this would also give us an easy way to alter door placement, as they could just turn it into an hab module, or have it enabled by default unless there's an module there. Edit 2: The current hab types, like workshop, all in one, armory, infirmary, and so on, Could simply be turned into named pre-furnished empty hab bundles/kits with pre-installed hab modules.
Would be nice if the Nova Galactic Storeroom still came with the cage side. I really love using them as security walkways. I just like having my doorways inside the “cages”
I'd like to be lazy and needy and want a 1x1 bathroom hab with bathrooms on all sides. My layout doesn't typically have bathroom access close to the bridge or work stations and a 1x1 option would add to the immersion. Maybe someone will make a mod where the crew will "use" the head as well as be assignable to beds and work stations.
Watch out for this one. It wrecked my ship last night. It worked when I tore all the habs out of my ship and made all empty habs but I didn’t the like the look of it so I tried to remove all the habs and put vanilla ones back in and anytime I would go to save shipbuilder would crash the game. Happened like 5 times. I even had to go as far as deleting the actual mod off my load order, deleting saves since loading it, and reloading a save before I downloaded it. I don’t have that many mods turned on and I put this one as 2nd in my load order to try to make it work.
That's the real frustrating thing I found about the ship building part of the game. Isn't there a way to view the interior of the hab modules before you select/install them? It seems like you had to go through all of the fuss to set this up just to get a preview. Thanks for the effort, regardless. 🙂
100% correct and one of 2 main issues people take with Starfield's Ship builder. The lack of a preview option and no ability in the base game to place Doors/Ladders where we wish.
I see nothing on the Mod Creation page nor the Nexus page (links in the description) about any load order. Try setting it to the last one to see if that helps. If not, try heading over to the Nexus link and ask the Mod Author.

Got this mod yesterday, and I absolutely Love it. Could build a small armory and a small room for all the crafting, it's Very handy, I Love it.
1 by 1 Modders are finishing Starfield into the game we should've gotten 9 months ago.
I know I'm not impartial but wow it really makes a huge difference seeing Deimos|Eklund and HopeTech|Taiyo like that. it's like night and day
Indeed and I should've done it a long time ago.

And that Beds don't count AT ALL in the first place. But I kind of get that, and also don't at the same time.

Okay. Some of the 3x1 bays I really like, but which I could get rid of the ...trip hazards? lol
@@TenNoZeorymer72 For sure, I feel the same.
Thanks for this vid. My question is why wasn't this already in the game when they made the empty Habs available?
Fantastic question, would love to hear an actual response from Bethesda.
Good idea with the walkthrough order, makes scrubbing the video back and forth so much easier for comparing what are basically variants.
Indeed. The Hab Tags help as well.
@@delindsay For sure, just saying that the extra effort is appreciated.
This mod will go great with that ship you built with individual bedrooms for the crew in that first video to show how to place doors/ladders/windows.
Already been working on that ;)

Using this mod for airlocks and ready rooms. Bay to 1×1 to docker. Finally! So good
1x1 Airlocks are a fantastic idea!

I'd love that concept and why not, the decorate feature is basically a stripped down version of the Outpost one.
I could finally make crew quarters now
Indeed.
Another must have.
Fact.
@@delindsay These would be great crew quarters.
@@tassey You bet they would.
I think we need a mod for hoptech wear like beds and shelves bend into the walls so fits together smoothly
That would be awesome!
This is so needed, very awesome
It's really gonna kick off some interesting builds!

Fair.
Thanks for the review!
You're most welcome, sadly I'm an idiot and forgot the HopeTech Fuselages in the video.

That's possible with ANY Mods, even ones made by Bethesda. It's the risk we all take by using them.

I would like a mod with pre-made 1x1 habs for a smaller ship builds. We currently only have 1 1x1 armory from the Crimson Fleet habs bundle.
That would be cool indeed.
Hopetech unique 1x1 not get changed?
Damn, you're correct. I completely forgot about the Fuselages. Yes, they are in this Empty 1x1 Hab set also.
Hi! Like your videos, very informative! Would you be interested in reviewing the paid creation "Kingpin Truckers at Sol Outposts" by InvokerGray?
I'll take a look, thanks for the suggestion.
