I had a 2010 Corolla to do a quad retrofit. The intention was to retrofit the OE headlamps. We found that there were too many imperfections in the lenses, and once we had them off the housings, there were more problems in that the reflector bowls had become brittle and pieces were crumbling off without even attempting any work on them. So, we turned to the aftermarket and found that the quality of the housing was quite good, but there were at least 10 critical differences . Of the most critical was that the aftermarket version had only one adjuster for up and down adjustment vs 2 on the OE version, and a lens swap was impossible as the height/profile of the aftermarket housing was greater than the OE version with a more significant portion of the lamp itself that is tucked under the bumper cover (requiring modification) while still exposing the same surface area of the lens itself on the front of the car.
Additionally, the OE housing had a notable space at the bottom of the housing for mounting an HID ballast while the aftermarket version did not. Reflector swap was also impossible because of one adjustment point, which was not in the identical position of the OE version, neither was the fixed point.

I was looking at some Morimotos for my 4runner, do they have low lens quality too?

Morimoto is as good as it gets for aftermarket LED assemblies. When it comes to OE replacements, DEPO and TYC are amongst the best. The rest of the aftermarket is low tier quality.

    Well it's for a minivan so that's already a step down. 😂
