This kid has something to him. We'll have to see how he does once teams study him, but like many in the locker room say, Putry has the X factor. He's definitely in a system that will give him a chance to shine and the dominant defense and multiple weapons in offense makes the Niners dangerous even after losing 2 starting QBs.

Brock Purdy Looks great on timing on timing routes. If he is smart and can pick up Kyle Shanahan's offense quick, he should be a great asset for the 49ers. Lance better get it together.
Purdy has a lot of potential in my eyes and he reminds me of Montana, now obviously no one is as good as Montana (imo not the point tho) but Purdy and his nimbleness and being able to extend a play and find his receiver and passing with the just amount of power and speed needed to get to his recivers, and also being able to move around the pocket and find his recivers or scramble is really great and he is very complete for a rookie back, I have more hope for Purdy than Lance being honest just because of how complete he plays and also how he controls the offense
Aight faithful, we gunna have to roll with this dude. I do like how he attacks the middle of the field (like Jimmy) and is a bit mobile. Would be great if we could see some of these deeper balls translate to the nfl. #9ergang
That play action will get you every time. I'm going to love it if he takes the Niners to the Super Bowl and wins it. That's going to be the Cinderella story of the history of the NFL. He has all the makings of a great quarterback if he doesn't get hurt. He's showing all the signs of being a great quarterback in the National Football League. Quick drop, good handoff play action, quick reads, quick dump off, perfect long passes, good running ability, can break tackles, can extend plays, Fearless, and a natural leader. If Joe Montana says he can do it, he can do it. This kid set three School quarterback records at this college. Remember, first and foremost, alabama, mighty Alabama wanted him badly, and he turned them down. That is all we need to know folks. We also need to remember that Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch are two of the most brilliant recruiters in the National Football league. They know what they're doing. They played the game. They've coached the game. Kyle's been around it his entire life, with his dad also a former NFL coach. This could be the biggest story in the NFL this year if things go right.
Lance is the most polarizing player in the SF locker room. Lot of Niners fans breathing a sigh of relief right now. Shanahan seems to be indicating that Lance was not his choice. If the kid works hard, he will get his opportunity. Happy to have you, Brock.
If Shanahan "was indicating that Lance was not his choice" by using this draft then he would have probably drafted a QB that was not described as a more talented Nick Mullens, a QB they got rid of because of his obvious flaws, or a better but smaller version of Jimmy G, a QB they are having a tough time getting rid of because of his obvious flaws. And Shanahan would have chose that QB much earlier than the very last pick of the draft, which historically is a draft position for a player that rarely sees a ton of playing time in the best case of scenarios. If Kyle wanted to indicate anything with this draft pick it was probably "Hey, Trey, because we can't solely depend on the GOATness of Nate Sudfeld in emergency situations we're providing a pretty talented depth piece to the QB room to help us win games if the situation ever arises but not one so talented that the fans will scream to start the very moment you -- the number 3 pick of the 2021 NFL Draft and the person I professionally linked my career reputation to -- do something even remotely typical for a young QB but that they, the screaming fans, take like the sky is falling because fans aren't necessarily the most rational organisms when their emotions get in the way"
He doesn't need to do much but short passes to Mccaffrey, Deebo and Kittle. This will extend plays and allows our NO. 1 Defense more rest to stop other teams.
I was thinking the same thing. I seen his tape last year before I knew about Lance and I liked this guy. He has accuracy and touch on his passes and is mobile enough to buy time in the pocket. He doesn't have Lance's size and big strong arm, but I can see why Kyle likes this guy. He might even like him a little more than Lance
Always look at the release time and height. Brock Purdy, check out his highlights, his release time is good, the ball is held high. Similar to Tony Romo, Philip Rivers and Tom Brady. Both Daniels and Maye keep the ball low. Bo Nix looks to have a nice quick release, good height and speed.
